Here's a non-fashion post for today.  You must all know by now that I am a huge Harry Potter freak. What you may not know is that I LOVE Disney/Pixar.  I hate when people say Disney is just for kids, totally not! So this post is dedicated to my favorite Disney movies! (click the photos to buy the movie or see more about them!)
The Black Cauldron: 25th Anniversary Special Edition Beauty And The Beast (Two-Disc Diamond Edition)The Black Cauldron is an older Disney film but definitely a favorite. It is also darker than most of their films, but I like it that way, it also has a tiny Lord of the Rings vibe going on too. The characters are very fun and vibrant and there are a great many funny parts. If you haven't seen this: DO IT! (Gurgi is my favorite character)

Beauty and the Beast; the classic princess movie and definitely one of the best!  It's a great love story with a wonderful lesson thrown in.  Oddly enough, I prefer Beast when he is a beast and not a prince, but I guess I'm a weirdo. I wish I were Belle!

The Sword in the Stone (45th Anniversary Special Edition)The Great Mouse Detective (Mystery in the Mist Edition)The Great Mouse Detective is another Disney film that not many people know about.  It is like Sherlock Holmes but with mice!  I have a crush on Basil, probably because of his accent ;). Yes, I have a crush on a cartoon character, he is one of many.

The Sword in the Stone is another oldie but goody! It's Disney's take on the King Arthur legend and I LOVE it! My favorite characters are Merlin and Archimedes!  I love almost anything about King Arthur.  (Like the series Merlin, LOVE!)

The Lion King (Disney Special Platinum Edition)
Hercules (Disney Gold Classic Collection)The Lion King is another classic, if you haven't seen it: what's the matter with you!? Just kiddingggg....anyway, I love this one because the lions are just soo cute and Rafiki is quite amusing!  That's pretty much all I have to say ;)

Hercules is another big favorite of mine!  I love mythology and Disney did a great job with this!  I also love that I'm in the movie...well, not really, but there is a character named Meg and she looks like me ;)

Cinderella (Two-Disc Special Edition)Sleeping Beauty (Two-Disc Platinum Edition)Two more classic Princess films that any little girl would love.  Cinderella is the classic love story from rags to riches.  And Sleeping Beauty...well it is just a love story...ha ha.  They both have the concept of Fairy Godmothers as well, which is what every little girl dreams of having.

All the songs in these movies are awesome!  I always sing along to everything!  Once Upon a Dream and So This Is Love are two of my favorites along with pretty much all the others.  They also both have the evil characters that are so loathsome.

RatatouilleUp (Single Disc Widescreen)Now it is time for one of Disney/Pixars newest films.  UP is definitely my favorite Pixar movie! It makes me laugh, it makes me cry and it is just perfect!  If I ever have a son I want him to be like Russell, even though he may be a bit annoying, he is so cute!

Ratatouille is another great Pixar film.  It is sooo funny and cute!  Remy is such an awesome cook!  Also, did you know that the bad guy in the movie is voiced by the guy who did Bilbo in Lord of the Rings? Weeell now you do!

Now here are some other lovely Disney and Pixar movies that everyone should see no matter what their age! I personally recommend all of these and have only included animated films (but their live action ones are just as good)!  What are your favorite Disney films?!

  4. I don't think i would have ever said disney is JUST for kids if anything some should be more for adults. Pixar especially does a great job "hiding" Adult themes, like In toy story 3 where they have a lot of connections to the holocaust and genocide. Animated movies are just great so i totally agree with you.

Have you seen Toy Story 3? It is so good! The Disney Store had little plushies of all the characters for $5. I only got one so far, but they are the Peas in a Pod! They are adorable!! The Peas actually come out of the pod and fit into the palm of your hand! So cute!!
