{outfit} Outfit Disappointment

  Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 7:30 AM   |    Post a Comment     Tagged:,,,,
Super short post today because I'm not really a fan of how this outfit turned out. But, rather than delete the photos and forget it ever happened, I figured I would share them anyway.  I wanted to wear this sweater, because it's awesome. But I didn't want to wear it with jeans again so I decided to pair it with these pants. I had wanted to wear heels, but sadly have no heels that matched, so I was reduced to wearing flats which make me look frumpy in these pants. And, to top it all off, this outfit is not photogenic at all! I wanted to delete every single picture, but I figure it's okay to show you guys that I'm not perfect. Not that my photos are perfect to begin with, but you get what I mean. It was good in theory, just not execution.

So there you have it...stick with what you know, folks! If I had just worn jeans, as is my uniform, this would have been a much better outfit.

Sweater: Phillip Lim x Target, Pants: Kenar c/o Marshalls, Flats: Liz Claiborne (DSW), Watch:  Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Henry Dinky' (Gilt)

Examples of both pieces in much better outfits:

  1. Isn't it strange how some pieces that work so well in other outfits just don't align when they are paired with each other? For what it's worth, I think those pants are super adorable!

  5. I think those pants are fab and I think it could have worked really well save for the socks. Really, that's my only issue with it. And it's not your fault. It's cold. It is unfair that we are expected to freeze all winter for the sake of fashion.

  6. I actually really love the outfit. I think skipping the socks would have been a better option for the look. But perhaps it is cold on that side of the world. Have the loveliest day ahead!

  7. Good for you for being so real with us and posting these anyways. It's not that bad but I will say the pieces do look a lot better worn in different ways in the other photos you shared.

  8. It's so awesome that you still posted this... This has happened to me before, in front of the mirror I'm loving it and then I see the photos and I think "that is what this actually looked like? How did the mirror deceive me like this?" Haha.
