I did a pretty good job this month with a few exceptions. I splurged on two rings from Lumo that I've had my eye on, but I used advertising money I had in PayPal so they were 'free.' I also scored a few deals that I couldn't pass up. One was a pair of silk pants from The Outnet that will be perfect for my trip to Greece (I also had to buy a navy tee to go with them.) The second was another pair of pants - faux suede and super soft!
From now until my vacation starts on April 11th I'm going to try not to buy ANYTHING (no clothes, no movies, nada!) And then during my trip I have a list of a few things I want to buy. When I get home I'm going to attempt a few months of no-shopping to get myself back on track after a rough tax season. In that way, freelancing sucks! Three huge chunks of money will be leaving my bank account within 3 months, thanks to 2014 taxes and 2015 quarterly taxes.

those rings are beautiful! So are your printed pants! :) You did great sticking to the challenge for a year! I'm not sure if I could, but in saying htat I only made my first clothes purchases this month for the year so mayeb I am better at controlling my spending than I think?!
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of the 4200 gift card by the way, ha! I used to be obsessed with getting all the threadless designs I wanted a while back. My first online clothing purchases actually, had a bit of a habit there!

Oh Greece sounds like a wonderful idea. I recommend that when there you buy leather sandals, they're famous for them - specially after Jackie O had some custom made for her :)

I'm not super clear on how this challenge works. Is there a spending budget involved or something? At the very least it's clear you thought hard about each purchase you made over the last year. That's something I'm always trying to do, too, so I can stay aware of where my money is going. I'd love to know more about this!
