I think it's time to get rid of this dress. The only reason I wore it this day was because I hadn't worn it all Summer. You know those pieces that you buy and they don't live up to your expectations but you keep them? I bought this in 2013 (for $63) and unfortunately it was final sale so it was either keep it or try to sell it on eBay. I've only worn it a handful of times, so I should probably give it up. Any takers? It is a lovely dress, just not me.

Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Gilt), Sandals: Franco Sarto (DSW), Necklace: Marrin Costello

  3. I think it looks cute on you, but if you aren't feeling it, then you shouldn't hang on to it! x

  4. That is a lovely neutral dress, and it looks nice and lightweight for summer! But if you aren't wearing it, definitely better to let it go :)

I find all my nice neutral dresses often get passed over for more colourful or printed pieces, haha! I still keep buying neutral dresses though ;) Never learn!

  5. It is a cute dress though. I know what you mean, I'm trying really hard to make better buying decisions and actually imagine myself reaching for that item to wear, what shoes? What accessories? How will I feel when I wear it? If I can't easily answer these questions, I'm starting to just pass on the item.

I love your accessories by the way!

  6. I think the dress is lovely on you, but of course the lower cut and the thin straps I can see are an issue for you. Though I think we have all made those kinds of purchases, things we love on the hanger but then never wear because they just aren't right for us, no matter how much we love the name or the price on the tag.

    1. It's actually the fabric and the bottom that give me issues. It feels a bit too dressy of a fabric for some reason and the bottom is weird, haha.

  7. I was going to compliment it ! I think it looks so nice. But, you're the one wearing it and the one who knows how it really fits.
