Throwing it back to Easter because I finally reminded Chrisitan to edit the photos we took. To be fair, we forgot to download them to a computer before we left for Missouri the week after Easter so we didn't have access to them for a full month. Whoops! But, better late than never!

Decided to wear an oldie but goodie this year, my Paris map print Carven dress from 2014. Also broke out one of my favorite pairs of shoes, the Lanvin suede city sandals I got in the Net-a-Porter sale in 2017. Coincidentally, the Net-a-Porter End of Season sale just started so you can get up to 80% off select pieces! The promo images say up to 50%, but if you sort by percentage some things are already 80%.

It may be Spring, but that doesn't mean temperatures have warmed up! Wore this for Easter and chose these floral pants to add some color/Easter feeling since I was not about to wear a dress. For some reason I always seem to wear the same pieces with these pants. I've worn this sweater, belt and bag with them in previous outfits. I guess if it's not broke, don't fix it.

In non-outfit news, we're getting our first dose of the vaccine tomorrow!! I'm terrified, yet excited. I'm not a big fan of doctors, shots or needles so this is going to be very stressful for me. BUT I would rather get a shot and potential side effects than suffer through full blown coronavirus.  For those of you in CT or NY struggling to find an appointment, this Facebook group may be able to help with tips! And if you are in dire need of assistance they have people that will help book for you. There are similar groups for other states. Will you be getting the vaccine when it's available to you? (no judgement if not - as long as you're still following safety rules the decision to get the vaccine is up to you!)

Happy First Day of May! I can't believe we are already 4 months through 2019.  These photos are from Easter Sunday. The weather was still a bit dreary but Christian and I stopped at a local historic society to snap these photos with beautiful blossoming trees! A lot of the people on this street got this same type of tree a few years ago so each Spring we are greeted with about a half a mile of beautiful pink flowering trees. You have to love communities coming together to make something so pretty.

Once again I'm wearing my new white blazer. This time I wore it with one of my favorite Target designer collaboration pieces - a Jason Wu for Target floral dress! I wear this almost every Easter because it's so perfect for the holiday. It definitely ranks in the top of my dress collection - quite a feat considering I have some "real" Jason Wu (and Burberry!) dresses in my closet.

As I mentioned last week - and pretty much any holiday - we have 2 different celebrations with each side of the family for holidays so we aren't rushing to two houses on the same day. For Easter my Dad's side of the family came to my parents house on Saturday for a lovely dinner. The weather was pretty gross so I had to take photos inside. Luckily I have a great photographer who can weather any situation ;)

I wore the same jacket for both of my outfits but styled it with different shoes and dresses. For the first day I wore a long sleeve silk dress because I knew it would be the cooler day of the weekend. I opted to not wear tights because I'm sick of having to cover up my legs for cold weather. I like to wear this particular dress with my fun Lanvin pumps. Such a gorgeous color that matches the dress perfectly.

Enjoy Jude's cameo, he's my brother's dog.

Blazer: Massimo Dutti (Roundabout Resale), Dress: Cynthia Steffe 'Naomi' (Lord & Taylor), Heels: Lanvin teal pointed toe pump with clear heel (Roundabout Resale)

This dress is one of my favorite buys from Roundabout but I think it's only been on the blog once or twice! For shame! The story of how this dress entered my closet is quite long. Here's the readers digest version: June 2011 it is featured in a Closet-Worthy post. In May 2014 I spotted the dress in one of Roundabout's New York locations but left it since it was still $500. In August of 2014 the dress made it's way to my local Roundabout in Wesport and was part of their Summer blowout sale so I spent $136 on a dress that retailed for $1,995. And it was brand new with tags. SCORE!

I wore this for the first of our two Easter celebrations. My family splits the holiday so we aren't rushing to two houses in one day. I wore this to celebrate with my dad's side of the family.

Dress: Jason Wu 'Okal Print Dress' (Roundabout), Sandals: Prada (The Real Real), Necklace: Marrin Costello

Almost every year since I got this dress I've found myself wearing it on Easter. It's the perfect piece to celebrate the day and Spring. This Easter felt like Summer with temperatures in the 80s! We actually had to turn on the air conditioning at my Grandmother's and couldn't sit outside for too long because of the heat.
