Follow Me
Whenever someone comes to my house they ask to see my room. Why all the curiosity? That would be because my room is approximately 9ft by 8ft. When I moved in with my cousins almost 2 years ago I went from having a small bedroom and a whole room for a closet when I lived in a small beach house with my friend.  Fitting in all my clothes and furniture was no small feat. I ended up having to put my blazers in our hallway closet for one.

But you know what, I LOVE my tiny room. It's so cozy. And after getting a lofted bed last year I am able to fit most of my stuff quite nicely with help from my shoe bookshelf, a few dressers and a shelving unit. I think after a few more adjustments the room will be perfect. A couple fun throw pillows, like these found at Parachute, would be a welcome addition for my bedding. Perhaps with a beautiful cashmere throw for those cold Winter nights.

Now that I've waxed on about my room and all the storage, here are some photos to show it off!  How does it look?

Today I have one last vacation outfit to share! This is what I wore to and from the airport.  This DKNY sweater is perfect for travel because it's so soft and long enough to wrap around me like a blanket.  You also finally get to see my awesome Lo & Sons bag! I bought it after seeing it on Jessica's blog and it is a lifesaver! I've been using it any time I go away for a weekend. This was the first time I was able to use it at the airport.

Sweater: DKNY (NET-A-PORTER End of Season Sale), Tee: Everlane, Jeans: J Brand 'Maria High Rise Skinny' in Supreme (Gilt), Boots: Vince Camuto (Marshalls), Bag: Lo & Sons

And cleaning off my car when we got home to all the snow! (I had snow boots in the car)
I wore this on my last day in Florida. I was worried I wasn't going to be able to wear the dress, so I'm glad we ended up with an extra day.  There were only 2 pieces I didn't wear on my trip - a camisole and a really loose, cape-like sweater. So I did a pretty good packing job!

I was also glad we had an extra day because I didn't have time to get one of the HUGE Simpsons donuts on our other days. They are so delicious, I don't care how many calories I ate.  The best part? It's only $5!!! The regular sized donuts are $2.29, so it's pointless to get one of those.

Dress: Edun c/o ThredUp, Boots: Vince Camuto (Marshalls), Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop)

I promise my vacation posts are almost done! Two more after this!

On the Monday of our trip (the 2nd) a bunch of us went back to Disney to visit Animal Kingdom. As we were driving over it started DOWN-POURING, so once we got there we sat in the car until the rain subsided. Luckily it didn't last very long, but it was enough to make a lot of the crowds leave. So we had no problem getting on any of the rides we wanted. My favorite is always the safari, I can't wait to go on a real on some day.  Forgot to snap outfits for this day, but it's pretty similar to my airplane outfit, which I'll be posting on soon!

* This post was made in collaboration with Lyst *

I'm sure many of you have heard of Lyst, but for those of you that haven't here is a little lesson. Lyst allows you to follow your favorite brands (and people) so you can see their latest products and add them to 'lysts' which then allow you to receive sale and stock alerts for those items! You can search by designer or category and even specify if you want specific discounts (ex. 20% to 70% off.)

Today I decided to create a Lyst that contains couple looks styled around Michael Kors bags.  For my looks I decided to create some "Winter Warmth" outfits. It's getting very cold out there, but why sacrifice style for warmth, when you can have both!

The first look is styled around this gorgeous Burberry Prorsum coat! Because of it's extreme pattern and textures I decided on a more subdued bag to contrast against the darkness of the rest of the outfit. The fun thing about this jacket is I was able to use non-matching gloves and a hat because they still matched the jacket.

For outfit number two I wanted the bag to do the talking so I chose this gorgeous purple calf-hair bag by Michael Kors. To keep the focus on the bag I created a monochromatic look with all green pieces which work great with the purple/burgundy.

You can create as many lysts as you want and you can even make a "Cover photo" for them to be shown on your Lysts landing page.  You can also share your Lysts with your friends on Twitter, Facebook or Tumblr so they can shop your picks! To further add to the fun, you can comment on Lysts with your thoughts!
