{outfit} An Engagement Party Outfit

I've worn this dress twice since buying it two weeks ago. Once was to the "ball" at LeakyCon a couple weeks ago, and second to my cousin's engagement party this past weekend. Such a beautiful dress, and I scored it for under $200! Still a splurge, but it's Burberry.  I definitely see this as a versatile dress. I can wear it with tights and a jacket come Winter and Fall. And in Summer I can wear it like this and with sandals to dress down a bit.

I felt like such a label snob in this outfit, but nothing I bought was full price (except perhaps the Chanel, I saved up a few years for that and still bought it second hand - but it's still expensive) That's what I love about consignment stores. I can find amazing pieces at even better prices, sometimes brand new with tags - like this dress!  It's amazing to me that someone paid (probably) full price, never wore it and then consigned it and I magically found it! Such a thrill, right?

Dress: Burberry London (Roundabout Resale), Heels: Dolce & Gabbana (Uptown Consignment), Bag: Chanel (Madison Avenue Couture)

  2. can you really be a label snob when everything is secondhand? Even the bag was, right? Plus, that dress looks so good on you, label or no label.

  10. That is a gorgeous dress! :) I think bags are investments too - although I haven't been using mine much lately! :) I tend to splurge on accessories and buy cheaper clothes - although I try to get everything on sale. Even Chanel you could get "on sale", if you bought somewhere with tax that you are not eligible to pay - like I order my Balenciagas from the UK as their tax is 20%, but being overseas I get that amount taken off my purchase as I'm not eligible to pay it. Good way to spend, to buy on sale or conisgnment, as your money goes further!
