In case you didn't notice...I got my hair cut! Both the fiancé and I went to get our hair cleaned up last Wednesday to prepare for our big day. We were originally supposed to get it cut the Thursday before that but there was a bit of a problem.

Our appointments were for 3pm, we showed up at the salon and the doors were locked. We went back to the car and tried to call, no answer. A few minutes later an old lady walked to the salon and got in so we quickly ran in and followed her. Turns out the place SHUT DOWN and they didn't bother to call people that had appointments. So we tracked down the girl that does our hair and found her new salon and made new appointments. What a production!

I get my haircut about once a year, I think my last cut was in June or July of 2017. I just hate paying for haircuts since I don't do much with my hair so I just let it grow out and then chop it off and start the process again, haha!

Happy Monday! Today marks the return of my favorite sandals to the blog - my Lanvin studded suede sandals! I'm still searching for another pair (size 38 or 38.5) for when these eventually get worn out but I've only found a 37.5 in the past couple weeks. I loved them enough to dedicate a post to them in February 2016 when they first appeared on Net-a-Porter for $795 (I think) but didn't buy them until they were added to the Summer End of Season Sale that July - which is going on right now! I scooped them up for $316, still pricey but totally worth it in my opinion!

I wore this on a pretty nice Saturday to do some window shopping at IKEA, Best Buy and a few other random stores. The weather was great, but when we were taking these photos the wind decided to blow like crazy, so I got a bit chilly! Whoops! On the plus side, these mules I bought for $20 back in January are becoming a Spring staple. I just can't resist throwing them on at every chance I get! Maybe I should buy a backup pair...so I don't have Vince Camuto Davilla flashbacks when they start wearing out. (Still searching for a new pair because mine are slowly dying.)

P.S. 10 points if you got my Winnie the Pooh reference ;)
I wore this over the weekend to do some shopping with my parents. It was almost Spring-like weather so I decided to wear my new Franco Sarto mules before they'll have to go away for a few more weeks once this warm snap disappears. For their first outing I went with a monochromatic blue outfit and threw on a faux fur vest for an extra layer since it was windy.

These photos were taken in the back of the Jurassic Park Discovery Center at Universal's Islands of Adventure. We ended up spending quite a bit of time just sitting here watching The Hulk roller coaster since we needed a break from the crowds and this area was pretty dead (since it's behind a store.) This day was also plagued by a ton of rain storms. Luckily it was our last day in the parks and we already rode the rides we wanted so we were able to just hide out during the rain and leave the park a little earlier than planned to make it back to the hotel before the real storm started later in the evening.

I decided to go blue on blue on blue with a hint of purple and leopard print for a lunch and shopping date with friends. You can never have too much monochrome, right?

On Tuesday I shared by Washington DC cherry blossom photo diary and today I'm sharing my only outfit post from the trip. I was in DC for 3 and a half days but only explored on Saturday and Sunday since I worked from my friend's place on Thursday and Friday. I meant to take photos on Saturday but I kept forgetting because we were having so much fun running around the city.

Unfortunately the lighting isn't the best in these photos because there were so many shadows due to the flowers and I had to find spots with no people (which was a challenge.) But I'll take what I can get!  The day was BEAUTIFUL, it finally felt like Spring.

Sweater: Abercrombie (crewneck version), Corduroys: Abercrombie, Boots: Vince Camuto (Marshalls), Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika'

And here's a quick look at my travel outfit on Thursday. As you can see, I'm working hard on the train on the way into the city. I had a long afternoon of travel mixed with work when I wasn't on a plane or walking in between modes of transport. Sometimes you gotta work in weird places.

Sweater: DKNY (Net-a-Porter sale), Jeans: Free People, Tee: Piperlime

I do still have the original cardigan I wore with this outfit but I decided to wear this darker one instead since it went better with the tights and tee. Funnily enough, this skirt was made with leftover fabric from when my mom helped me make a skirt inspired by Michael Kors. I have worn this WAY more than the one we intended to make, funny how that works.

Tee: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Sweater: Abercrombie (thrifted), Skirt: Made by Mom, Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Resale)
