Getting all my Christmas outfits out before it's too late! I got this shirt in the little boys section at Disney for $8 on sale, quite the steal if I do say so myself! I had to get the largest size and it's a bit snug but it works.  I'm not a fan of Minnie so I always head to the boys section when they relegate Minnie to the girls and Mickey to boys. Works out cheaper this way too because I can buy the kid's size instead of adult.

P.S. It's Star Wars day todayyyy!!!! Sadly I have to wait until 9:40pm to see it because the only other showing is at 6:30 and Christian wouldn't be able to make that from work.  So I will be avoiding spoilers all day.

I bought this dress - for a STEAL on eBay - at the end of October and it was killing me knowing I would have to wait until next Summer to wear it. Then I remembered I had my trip to Disney a couple weeks ago and knew it would be perfect for my day at Animal Kingdom! I'm a major Disney geek so naturally I have Disney-related tees that I wear to all the parks but for Animal Kingdom I usually go for some sort of animal print and in this case a patterned Edun dress.

I hope all my American followers have a great Thanksgiving (and possibly long weekend if your employer is nice!)

A couple weeks ago I jetted off to Disney for five days of fun with some friends. We planned this trip at the beginning of the year (March!) when Disney World announced the opening for Star Wars Galaxy's Edge.  Sadly Christian couldn't come because he was already using his allotted days off for our honeymoon. Don't worry, we're hopefully going to Disney (and Universal) in May!

November seemed like the best time to go because the initial opening crowds for Star Wars would have slightly dwindled and we could celebrate the Holidays by going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!  We also knew that EPCOT would be having either their Food & Wine Festival or Festival of the Holidays! When dates were announced I was excited to read we would be there for Food & Wine.

Last year my friend and I went to EPCOT 4 times during our stay so we could get the Annual Passholder cutting board but this year we only went for 1 day so I had less time to try foods and had to be much more strategic. Here's what I tried this year as well as a few tips to get the most bang for your buck!

1. Download the WDW - Food&Wine app to keep track of everything you want to try and have tried! Before our trip I wish-listed everything I wanted to try so I wouldn't have to think about it while in the park. (this is not an official Disney app)

2. Buy the Festival gift card. I find it helpful to buy the special festival gift card on a wrist coil. You have to load it with at least $15 but we all know if you're going to eat around the world you'll spend at least that! Plus they always have a cute design, this year it was Remy. (Last year they had 3 separate Remy designs so I had to buy all of them!) It's a great way to control your spending because you can load it with whatever your budget for the day.

3. Pace yourself. If you can spread this out over a few days of your trip, definitely do! Park hop back to EPCOT once you're done at another park for a few bites. If you only have one day don't try to eat too much or you won't be able to enjoy what you do have.

4. When you're with a group you might want to share bites with others so you can sample even more! If 2 or 3 people want to try the same thing why wouldn't you split it so you have room for even more snacks? And, if you happen to really like it, go back to get a second if you're still hungry at the end of the day!

What I tried

The Donut Box

I had already had breakfast earlier in the morning but when my friend had time to kill while waiting for the other 2 members of our group (who decided to sleep in) I wanted to try the Strawberry-dusted yeast donut holes! It was $4 for 4 really big donut holes so we split them and it was the perfect portion.

Spain

Spain had this dish last year and it remains one of my favorite bites of the Food & Wine Festival. It's the Spanish-style Paella with Botifarra and Roasted Chicken for $5.50. The portion size is great for this price and it was delicious and flavorful!

China

Another repeat from last year was the Chicken Dumplings with Chinese Slaw for $4.95. The dumplings were delicious but you only get 2 for the $5 so it's not that big of a portion. I was going to try the black pepper shrimp with garlic noodles as well but figured I should try something different instead.

India

When we arrived at the India booth I decided to be brave and try the Korma Chicken with cucumber tomato salad, almonds, cashes and warm naan for $5.25.  I say "brave" because I'm not a big fan of saucy foods (yes, even pasta.) But the flavor was amaaazing and I really enjoyed it!

France

This is not part of the food festival but every time I go to EPCOT I have to get some chocolate ice cream in France. I'm not lying when I say this is my favorite ice cream anywhere and it's totally worth the $5 for a single scoop. Every time I'm always tempted to get a french macaron with ice cream but I just can't quit my go-to.

Festival Merchandise

I was going to try not to buy any festival specific merchandise apart from a passholder pin and regular pin but they had some ADORABLE Mickey and Remy mugs in the Passholder merchandise section. They also happened to be 25% off (plus my 20% off passholder discount) so I couldn't resist!

What I wore

I wore my Passholder tee from 2018 because how could I not?! The perfect shirt for tasting around the world. It was a chillier - and windy - day so jeans were necessary. I also had my Mickey Sweatshirt on to save me from freezing.

Graphic Tee: EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Passholder Tee, Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne' (Shopbop), Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Athanasia' in Croc (Moda Operandi)

I think I'm in a blog funk. Christian hasn't been able to take as many of my photos lately and when I have my Dad take them I don't like to take up too much of his time so we just take 5 quick shots and I'm done. So even though my Dad is a great photographer (it's one of his favorite hobbies) a lot of the time the photos just aren't up to snuff because I rush.

In this case it was my shorts fault, the linen wrinkles SO easy and I had already been wearing this outfit for half the day. I also stupidly covered the graphic on my shirt with my still wet hair.  Plus my cousin was visiting from Ohio so I REALLY rushed these photos. At least there's a cute puppy (my brother's) to distract from all of that.

Graphic Tee: EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Passholder Tee, Shorts: Splendid Arabesque Cargo Short in Antique Military Olive (Marshalls), Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (bought in Santorini),  Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Perfect Purse ostrich-effect PVC' (Net-a-Porter), Sunglasses: Chanel

Slightly behind in posting outfits, the joys of only posting twice a week now that I can only really take photos on the weekend and if I go to my parents for dinner. I wore this at the beginning of the month for a food blogger event at El Toro in Stratford, CT. I always have so much fun with all the food bloggers, we just chat and stuff our faces with tasty food!

I decided to wear my Disney tee from last year's EPCOT Food & Wine Festival for the occasion.  I paired it with my suede jacket and ripped jeans to make it a little more funky. And yes, these sandals again. Whenever spring first hits I'm always drawn to wearing these more often than any other shoes because they're so comfortable.

Graphic Tee: EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Passholder Tee, Jacket: Lauren by Ralph Lauren - similar (TJ Maxx), Jeans: Current/Elliott skinny jean in Love Destroyed, Sandals: Malu c/o Marshalls, Sunglasses: Chanel, Wedding Band: Sofia Zakia Altair Ring (Catbird), Engagement Ring: Custom Sofia Zakia Wandering Star Ring, Opal & Sapphire

Here's a look at some of the food if you missed it on my Instagram!
For those of you that don't pay attention to every single detail of my blog and Instagram posts, aka everyone ;), it is important to note the significance of Wall-E in my life.  It is the first movie Christian and I watched together and was technically our first date.  We watched it while at a Game of Thrones convention his brother was running.

Since then, Wall-E has cemented itself as one of my favorite Pixar movies - it was already in my top. So now, Wall-E and Eve represent our relationship - see our Wall-E shelf (which is missing a few pieces that were in another room in the house that I've since relocated here.) When I went to Disney back in May I just had to get this cute necklace so I could always have Wall-E/Christian with me.

For some weird reason this is the first time this sweater is appearing on the blog this season. I've worn it at least 6 times since the start of Fall so not sure how that happened!

Sweater: Everlane Wool-Cashmere Oversized Cable Turtleneck, Snakeskin Texture Jeans: Jolt (Marshalls), Flats c/o Joie 'Dylan' leopard loafer, Wall-E Necklace: Disney World, Sunglasses: Chanel, Bag: Louis Vuitton Epi Leather Sac D'Epaule (HauteTrader)

To continue with my December Wardrobe Update I thought I would share my favorite purchases on 2018! I only added 14 new pieces (plus 5 gifted jewelry items) to my closet this year so it's slim pickings compared to past years.

Needle & Thread 'Mirage' tiered embellished tulle dress  - The Wedding Look

If my wedding dress didn't make my top purchases list, we'd have a problem.  I never imagined myself in a white or traditional wedding dress so this sequined lilac dress was perfect for me.

Nicholas Kirkwood 'Lola' embellished Lurex sandals    - The Wedding Look

The same goes for my wedding shoes! I wanted these to be super special and unique so I splurged quite a bit!

I've only worn the dress and shoes for the wedding ceremony and party so far but I will definitely break out the shoes again in the future. I'm sure I'll find another occasion for the dress as well.

Sofia Zakia 'Altair' Ring - The Wedding Rings

Another no-brainer favorite is my wedding band. I love my wedding rings because they're so unique. The shape of the band fits perfectly with the engagement ring - it was designed that way - and I couldn't imagine a better piece of jewelry to wear for the rest of my life.

Franco Sarto "Dolly" mules

You can't beat $20 for a pretty pair of suede mules, can you? I almost didn't buy these because I was trying to "behave" and not buy new clothes. So glad I broke my no spending rule to add these to my closet in January. They're such a great color and go with everything I own.

Dooney & Bourke 2017 Sorcerer Mickey Disney Shopper Tote - First Seen Here

This purchase was a long time coming. I had wanted it in 2017 when I went to Disney and didn't buy it and then spent the next nine months hunting for one on eBay. It may not be worn often but I'm still super happy with the purchase. It's as much a part of my Disney collection as it is in my wardrobe so I'll be happy as a clam to see it sitting with my Disney items until it gets worn again.

Vince Camuto 'Davilla' Ankle Boot

Technically I haven't worn the ones I bought yet, but I bought a replacement pair of boots for when these eventually get too gross to wear. Seeing as I've been looking for a couple years I'd say this is a great buy! You can see these are all nice and scuffed. Can't wait to break out the new clean ones!
