Happy Thursday!! I'm currently on my second day of a quick trip to Orlando with a friend so this is definitely not what I'll be wearing today.  And I confess I do have the original heels from this look but I decided I liked it better with the dark brown Prada's instead. I'm also sporting my latest pair of sunglasses from Ditto's Endless Eyewear program! I sent my Miu Miu pair back after just a week but I'm keeping these a little longer before I trade them in.  Use code CLOSETFASHIONENDLESSDITTO for your first month free!

Tee: Everlane, Skirt: Vince Camuto  (Lord & Taylor), Heels: Prada (The Real Real), Necklaces: Vanessa Mooney and Geoclassics, Sunglasses: Jason Wu 'Brigitte' via Ditto Endless Eyewear

The Original: Heels: Guess (Marshalls)

Yes, I'm wearing a long sleeve, dark colored shirt. Yes, it's the first week of Summer. Do I care? Nope! Ha ha. Yesterday was a little dreary so I decided I wanted to wear my Free People flares. I wasn't in the mood for a tee or a tank top so I went with my striped crop top. The fabric is thin enough that it didn't make me overheat. This was my first time wearing this as an actual crop top and not with something high waisted and I actually quite like it!

Fun note: The shoes that you can't really see were my first ever piece from The Outnet way back in 2011. I did buy something in early 2010 but had to return it because it didn't fit. So I've been a customer of theirs since the beginning, always fun to think about!

Happy Friday!! I'm leaving this afternoon for my third year helping out my friend's Teen Wolf convention, Howler Con! My job is taking one of the actors to his various panels, photo ops and autograph sessions. It's a fun, and busy, weekend. But this year I need to worry about watching the Game of Thrones finale on Sunday! AHH! I'll either be rushing home after the con to watch or staying an extra night at the hotel, ha ha.

Top: Zara, Jeans: Free People (Marshalls), Espadrilles: Burberry (The Outnet, similar), Necklace: Geoclassics

This romper was one of my April buys. It's a tiny bit too big, but that's what you get for shopping sample sale sites...I couldn't exchange for a smaller size - because it sold out - so it was either return it or keep it. Since it was only $27 I opted to keep it. I love the little bit of skin it shows in the back, it also adds a nice breeze when it's super hot out.

I've been meaning to get these sandals fixed but I have no idea if a cobbler would be able to do what I need. Or where there is a cobbler near me.  My friend borrowed them when we were on vacation and it rained so the leather stretched out a LOT. I need to get the back straps shortened so I can buckle them again. When I wore them this day I kind of faked it since I knew I wouldn't be walking a lot. #shoehacks.

Romper: Greylin (Gilt), Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Clio' (Nordstrom), Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika' (Ditto), Necklace: Geoclassics

I behaved this month and only bought one thing, which I have a good excuse for! 1: It's from my favorite store that used to have a location in Newport but is still open in Boston. 2: It was on "super sale" from $25 to $8.50 and 3: It's my color! Burgundy!

...

I wrote that first paragraph a couple weeks before the end of the month because I was SO SURE I would make it through without buying another thing. How wrong I was. I misbehaved a few days ago and bought some amazing Proenza Schouler pants. BUT, to be fair, I have wanted them since September 2014 and they were an extra 15% off at Yoox (a version of them is still $578 at The Outnet). They should arrive tomorrow and I really hope they fit! But it's probably better that they don't so I have to return them and get the money back ;)

As I say every month: I'll do better in June!!BUT The Net-a-Porter End of Season sale started today, so that could be dangerous!

UPDATE: The pants arrived today and they fit like a glove! Super excited to wear them. Just gotta make sure I wear them A LOT.

Revisiting what I wore on my birthday 4 years ago! I don't have the top anymore, but I do have the rest of the items. Even the bag, although I just us it to hold computer cords now. I decided to switch out the necklace to one I bought while in Boston last week (for only $8.50 at Geoclassics!) because it had some yellow in it and matched the skirt great!

Top: French Connection c/o Marshalls, Skirt: made by Mom, Booties: Alexander Wang 'Freja' (The Outnet), Necklace: Geoclassics $22, Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop)

Leaves are already starting to fall in my parent's yard...what's happening?! We do only have 6 days until Autumn, but this look was from 12 days before. Come on, Mother Nature! Although I do love Autumn (my favorite season) and leaves and the smells...I just know that once Autumn starts Winter is on the horizon.

Sweater: For Cynthia c/o Marshalls, Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne Jeans' (Shopbop), Sandals: Isola c/o Marshalls, Necklace: Geoclassics

I've tried a few long sleeve sweater dresses in the past, but most have been too chunky, shapeless and added bulk to me. Then I encountered this gorgeous sixties style swing dress at Roundabout for 75% off their price (which is already a consignment store price.) I saw the burgundy fabric peeking out of the rack on my second go around through the store. As most of you know burgundy (and purple) is one of my favorite colors to wear. It was also brand new with tags, how does it get any better than that?

It is from a diffusion line for Balenciaga, Balenciaga.Knits. According to the tag, Balenciaga selected several emblematic designs from Nicolas Ghesquiere's collections. Their development is focused on researching materials and new cuts.

I wore it on a slightly warmer day, which felt like a heatwave even though it was still in the upper 30s (°F.) It is made of wool so there is a teeeeeny bit of an itch to it, but after wearing it a few more times I'm sure it will soften up.

Dress: Balenciaga Knits (Roundabout Resale), Necklace: Geoclassics, Boots: Eighteen 68 'Megan' (Gilt),

Since I'm getting back into the groove after my vacation I thought now would be a good time to share some photoshoot extras! I say this every time, but whenever I shoot with Lydia I find myself with tons of photos on the cutting room floor that I wish I could share. So here's my chance!

    Summer Shopping Challenge Outfits: Look #1 | Look #2 | Look #3 | Look #4

Here is the second outfit in my ThredUp Summer Shopping Challenge posts! This is something I never though I would find myself wearing: an almost ALL WHITE look! What is happening to me?  I picked up this adorable Studio 1 blouse for only $4.99! I'm very into prints come Summer time so it's great to have more options now. Tomorrow's outfit will also have a great graphic print.

Also, can we talk about the door behind me! Lydia's town library is so perfect for photos! We made sure to go back and use it again for another outfit (tomorrow's, in fact.) I never mind driving the 35 minutes to her for photos because there are so many great locations, and it's more fun taking photos with a friend than with a tripod.

Blouse: Studio 1 c/o ThredUp, Tank Top: Forever 21, Jeans: Mother c/o Marshalls, Sandals: Franco Sarto (DSW), Bag: Wink and Winn (giveaway), Sunglasses: Cole Haan c/o Marshalls, Necklace: Geoclassics
    * Disclosure: I have received free products or value from ThredUp in connection with my affiliation with ThredUp's Summer Shopping Challenge.
I wore this the day we went to go see Jimmy Fallon tape his Monday show! Then we headed to Margaritaville at Universal's CityWalk for dinner. Basically a nice, laid back day! Sadly these sunglasses did not make it home. I somehow lost them one of the nights of the trip. They were in my camera bag and must have fallen out when I was rushing to put stuff away...so depressing! Maybe my Marshalls will have another pair.

Dress: ELLE (Kohl's), Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals "Athena" (Gilt), Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Saks Friends & Family Sale), Necklace: Geoclassics, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports & Mom's, Sunglasses: Etienne Aigner c/o Marshalls
