I'm a bit light on outfit posts thanks to the recent snowstorms so I thought I would re-share this recipe for Nigella Lawson's Chocohotopots that I first posted back in 2012. Chocohotopots have been one of my favorite desserts for as long as I can remember. It's simple, quick and the perfect portion. I've introduced it to quite a few friends over the years and I even brought my own ramekins when I visited a friend in DC so we could make them. As I'm sure you've seen on my Instagram, I make them quite often!

Ingredients
- 1 stick unsalted butter (I'm use salted and it tastes just fine)
- 3/4 cup (120g) semisweet chocolate, with 60 percent cocoa solids
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup (180g) superfine sugar (I just use regular sugar)
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Special equipment: 4 (2/3 to 1-cup capacity) ramekins
- Place a baking sheet in the oven and preheat to 400 degrees F.
- Butter the ramekins (not from the full stick) or use non-stick cooking spray.
- Melt the dark chocolate and 1 stick butter together, then set aside to cool a little.
- Mix the eggs with the sugar and flour and beat in the cooled butter/chocolate mixture.
- Divide the mixture between the 4 buttered ramekins.
- Bake for 20 minutes, by which time the tops will be cooked and cracked and the chocolate gooey underneath.
- Let cool and enjoy!!! :D

Welcome to part 2 of my cooking post! Just some more detail shots showing the cooking process! See more photos in yesterday's post. Once again, a deluge of photos is about to arrive, but with far less copy.
And a couple bonus photos of my doggy, Layla.

Fun fact about me: I LOVE watching the Food Network and Cooking Channel but I am super picky so I wouldn't eat half of the things I see on the shows. I hardly ever cook for myself these days because I don't get home from work until 7:30 and just want something super quick: hello frozen pizza, and pre-made - albeit delicious - rosemary and thyme chicken.
When my Marshalls Project Fab resolutions challenge came I knew what I wanted to do. My first goal was never paying full price for fabulous clothes (post 1 | post 2). But I also want to try to cook at home more often, it's going to be hard but I know it will improve my overall health and happiness. I really enjoy cooking, it's just finding the time. I may end up cooking meals on the weekends and then eat them during the week.
Where does Marshalls come in here, you ask? Well, I got 75% of my cooking supplies there! I needed a new pan, some other kitchen essentials that I was missing and a couple things I just wanted for fun (a mandolin!) Everything I bought was a great price (and most of it was found on clearance too!) Let's not forget that good portion of the cookware I already own is from Marshalls or Home Goods. Can you tell it's my favorite store yet?
I decided to have Lydia and Christine over and made a tasty (I hope) meal: Strawberry Balsamic Chicken and Potatoes with rosemary & garlic! For dessert I made my "famous" (to me) Chocohotopots and taught the girls how to make french macarons. I'm splitting the post into two days because as usual there are too many photos I like! I went from over 400 to 175 and then chose my favorites from that to share.
P.S. Did any of you ever watch The Galloping Gourmet?! I used to watch it every day when I was younger. Yes, I watched cooking shows instead of kid shows (although I watched those too.)

Here's a quick non-fashion post for today. I wasn't going to post anything today but I figured, why not?! Anywayyyy...last night I decided to try out a new recipe for dinner, Grilled Apple Chicken! Here are some fun pictures I took while making it:
I also made Roasted Garlic and Olive Oil couscous by Near East (aka it's a box mix).
Here is the finished product! I had a Gala apple with my meal, ha ha.
And here is the aftermath....UGH! It took FOREVER to clean the grill and it was disgusting and still dirty, though not this bad...I need to try again later...

Two posts in a day, two days in a row, CRAZY! :P Anyway, I promised I would post about what I made for dinner yesterday for my parents anniversary but first I shall share a little adventure my mom & I took to an Arts and Crafts fair in our town! We took a walk in the morning to the fair & looked around. A little girl I babysit for had a booth & she was selling bracelets & fun cards, so I bought one of each. Then a little boy asked me to donate money to his cause, so how could I say no? Ended up spending $4, so that adds to my Spending Challenge :p Here are some photos (ignore the fact that I look bald):
And now on to dinner! I started cooking at 1:15 and was done at 6 (took a little break, but not for long). I'm a slow cooker :p Anyway....I made Rosemary Potato and Chicken Pizza (featured on Cupcakes and Cashmere), Pineapple Watermelon Salad with Lime Vinaigrette (featured on This Free Bird) & Choco Hoto Pots, a personal favorite of mine! That was just preparing too, after that I had to actually put the pizza and dessert in the oven :p Here are some pictures :D
