Follow Me
As is our tradition each year, we went to Jones Family Farms the day after Thanksgiving to pick out a Christmas Tree for my parents living room! This was Chrisitan's first year joining in on the tradition and since one of my brothers had to work he got the job of helping carry the tree to the bailer! What an honor, ha ha.

I wore my traditional Stella McCartney polar bear sweater for the occasion. I've worn it to get our tree pretty much every year since I bought it. I only missed once because I wanted to wear a fun new festive llama sweater. This year it was extra chilly so I layered another sweater underneath, added a vest and wore tights under my jeans.

I stole my sister's dog Teddy for my photos. Isn't he the cutest?

Vest: Ella Moss 'Nico Faux Fur Vest' (Marshalls - in black, also here), Polar Bear Sweater: Stella McCartney 'Polar bear intarsia wool and alpaca-blend sweater' (The Outnet), Jeans: J Brand Danica Moto Skinny with Ankle Zippers (Marshalls), Boots: Eighteen 68 'Megan' (Gilt Groupe), Sunglasses: Gucci, Eyeglasses chain: Tinksky (Amazon), Beanie c/o Ricefield Collective (out of business)

P.S. Someone stole one of my outfit pictures for their eBay listing for these jeans! haha!

I've been good this month and only added a gifted necklace to my closet! Hopefully I can keep it up in December but I may buy something in the Net-a-Porter Sale if something on my wish list gets low enough!

For my second Thanksgiving outfit I went with a skirt and an outfit I have been planning since August. It was a little warmer on this day so I was able to wear my outfit exactly as planned!

V-Neck Sweater: Everlane 'The Cashmere V-Neck', Oriental Print Skirt: J.McLaughlin (Coco's $10 sale),  Silk Reflections Sunkissed Ultra Sheer Tight c/o Hanes Hosiery, Boots: 3.1 Phillip Lim 'Peggy' in patent leather and pony-hair (Barney's Warehouse)

Here's the first of my two Thanksgiving outfits. My mom hosted for her side of the family for the first time this year. Normally my Grandma does it but she decided to take a year off and let me Mom handle the stress. I wore pants for this celebration because I knew my cousin's 2 year old would be coming and we like to play on the floor. I wanted to wear different shoes but it was really cold so I went with function over fashion. Not that these boots aren't fashionable.

Sweater: Context Three-Quarter Bell Sleeve Top (Lord & Taylor), Pants: Proenza Schouler Black & White Graphic Print Pants(Yoox), Boots: Gianvito Rossi 'Finlay' (Marshalls), Tights c/o Wolford, Necklace c/o Blue Nile

Happy Black Friday! I hope everyone is having fun shopping the sales! I don't go into any stores on Black Friday. Mostly because I hate crowds and would rather shop from the comfort of my couch in pajamas. But Black Friday also happens to be the day we go get our Christmas Tree every year.

Everyone is always posting about the huge Nordstrom sale or the millions of Madewell, Sephora, Old Navy and Loft sales. I partake some of those, but my real sale of the year is the Net-a-Porter End of Season Sale. Why? It only happens twice a year and it’s when I allow myself a splurge or two (or three) on a designer item I’ve been wanting. Net-a-Porter doesn’t do any other sales apart from one in the Winter and one in the Summer. The Winter sale started on Tuesday and here is what’s on my wish list! I'll be updating the shoppable boutique below the main image as more items are added to the sale!

Unfortunately I may have to sit the sale out this time thanks to a mortgage payment, bills and grown-up things (GRR!) but I do have a bit of money put away in a clothing fund so we'll see!

Jimmy Choo Romy 100 glittered velvet pumps, Isabel Marant Idol mohair-blend sweater,
Temperley London Night cutout metallic intarsia wool-blend midi dressMarc Jacobs Tie-back striped cashmere sweater, M.i.h Jeans Bodycon mid-rise skinny jeans, SEA Madeline canvas-trimmed paneled faux fur and faux shearling coat, Loewe Leather and suede Chelsea boots, Chloé Faye Day large leather shoulder bag, J Brand Pace velvet bomber jacket, Proenza Schouler Ribbed silk-blend sweater

I was feeling a little under the weather on this day so it was all about the layers! I wore a thin turtleneck under my chunky sweater and leggings under my jeans plus some thick socks. Not the most fashionable, but definitely functional, which is why I decided to share the photos even though it may not look the chicest.

This sweater is one of my favorites, especially when I remember how I came to own it. My long time blog friend Jamie (who I was able to meet in person in 2011 - embarrassing blog post alert) wore it on her blog way back in 2013. I commented with how much I loved it but sadly it was too expensive for me to buy, especially when factoring in shipping from Australia. But then, in July 2014, she decided to sell it on her blog shop so I swooped in and grabbed it! So now it's having it's second life here in the States with me.

Sweater: Witchery cable-knit sweater,  Jeans: IRO "Faxy Cropped Jean" (Gilt c/o Wikibuy), Loafers: Burberry Prorsum animal-print calf hair slipper (Net-a-Porter), Bag: Chanel Classic 2.55 Double Flap (Madison Avenue Couture), Sunglasses: Michael Kors (Marshalls)

Sometimes it's just too windy/freezing to take photos outside. On this day Christian and I went to the park for a Pokemon Community Day (yes, we're nerds, we don't care.) and it was super windy and cold. We spent a lot of the time just sitting in the car to escape. We did manage to get a couple things we were hunting for but man was it brutal! Instead of taking photos at the park like we usually do we decided to stay warm and take them in front of my parents fireplace. The lighting wasn't the best so the photos are a bit wonky, but what can you do.

P.S. I love this sweatshirt. It's actually from the kid's section. When Kristen and I went to Disney for my birthday last month we wanted to get a cute Toy Story related clothing item since that part of the park recently opened. Unfortunately the adult options weren't all that cute and they were so expensive - $35 for a t-shirt. This sweatshirt on the other hand, was $30 in the kids section but we got ours for $25 after our Annual Passholder discount. So pro-tip: if you are a Small or Medium in tops you can buy a Large kids sweatshirt and Disney for half the price of adult clothes.

Sweatshirt: Toy Story Aliens (Disney World), Jeans: Everlane 'Mid-Rise Skinny Jean' in Black, Slip-On Sneakers: BCBGeneration 'Yerra' Slip-on Sneaker (DSW), Bag: Chanel Classic 2.55 Double Flap (Madison Avenue Couture)
