I've had a version of this outfit saved as a photo on my phone since 2017 (was one of my options for this trip to the pumpkin patch) and FINALLY wore it. I just never had (what seemed like) the right occasion. This year I decided to wear it for Thanksgiving! In my original idea I had a plain black long sleeve shirt and different black boots but I switched it with a v-neck and over the knee boots. My original boots were more durable for walking around the pumpkin patch but since I'd just be hanging out inside I could switch it up!
It was probably not the smartest choice for a day full of eating, though. The shorts are high waisted and very tight with not much give so they're not great for sitting. Or eating tons of turkey. But, hey, at least I looked good!
Of course it was SUPER cold and windy when we took these photos. So pardon if I look frozen.

I successfully made it through Black Friday/Cyber Monday/Sale weekend with no purchases making November a no spend month! I did buy a few non-clothing items but nothing too crazy. Spent in 2021 Counting Prada bag: $1,720.96Finally getting around to posting photos from Halloween, just in time for Thanksgiving. We enjoyed a perfect Dall day in the park. The trees were definitely showing off and the park was very crowded! Luckily we found a quiet corner to take some photos in. I've had this sweater since May 2020 but this is the first time it's getting outfit photos not taken in my closet. I even wore the same jeans this time because they're the perfect match.
A very similar version - higher neck, slightly different owl and a little darker - is available on eBay or Vestiaire Collective. It's actually the one I DIYed years ago. Sadly, it's not as good of a deal as I got. I still can't believe the seller let it go for $75. WOWZA! According to the eBay listing they "bought [it] from Net-a-Porter for £1595. This piece sold out almost instantly and is now an iconic, almost impossible to find Burberry Prorsum collector’s item."

I loved this outfit, sadly the pictures do not do it justice. This is nothing against my amazing photographer, I just remember being super uncomfortable and in a rush when taking these because we were near a busy street. (people kept walking in front of me and starring, as non-bloggers do, ha ha. Luckily no one was walking directly on the street behind me.) We had just finished checking out the Annual Scarecrows Along Main in Historic Wethersfield and it was fairly crowded because it was the last weekend before Halloween.
As many of you know, I have social anxiety so taking photos in public is always a huge ordeal for me. Normally we try to do photos away from people, but I really wanted pictures in this outfit and it was getting too dark to go somewhere secluded (plus we went with my Aunt and Uncle and didn't want to take too long for them.)
Just imagine me looking happier and less awkward.
P.S. Did you know cheesy landscape sweaters like this are in style again this year! So glad I bought this a couple years ago when it wasn't as in, even though people said it was weird, ha ha! Goes to show - buy what you love even if other's don't agree, one day they'll be hunting for something just like it! Who wants to buy me this fun Sea New York sweater with sheep!? So cute. Does The Brand Ship Internationally?
No, and yes at the same time. It’s a bit complicated so let’s break it down. Currently, the brand does not ship to U.S. territories, P.O. Boxes, APO, FPO, or General Delivery. Any orders placed that have these addresses will be canceled. You might read this and think that if you live outside the United States you’re out of luck, you can’t have things shipped to you.
Not exactly. You see, the brand’s website sets your shipping restrictions and locations based on where your current location/the location the order was placed from. As an example, we live in the United States, so when we visit the site, we are automatically directed to the U.S. version of the site with shipping set to come from U.S. locations. If we lived in Europe and we were trying to ship something to a friend or family member in the United States, our order would be canceled because the location from which our order was placed and the shipping destination are not in the same country. It’s a bit tricky.
How Long Does It Take For See By Chloe Brand Products To Ship?
The brand usually offers 4 shipping methods for its products. The first is the standard shipping method. This will see your order delivered in 5 to 8 business days. It’s also free! Who Owns See By Chloe? What is the Brand’s History?
We can’t really talk about the See By Chloe brand without discussing its parent brand Chloe first. The story of the Chloe brand begins in the year 1952. Gaby Aghion designs her very first clothing collection. The designs are both elegant and modern with relaxed silhouettes. In the construction of her designs, she used fabric that was well-refined and high-quality.

In 1957 Gaby organized the first fashion show for the Chloe brand. The collection featured in this show was the Spring-Summer 1958 collection. The fashion show was held at the renowned artist haunt, Cafe de Flore in Paris. Gaby would continue to hold Chole’s fashion show at Left Bank cafes until the mid-60s. The brand’s cool, romantic, and glamorous designs were a massive hit with young women who felt a connection between the designs and their own personal aspirations.
In the 1960s Gaby trusted in a new generation of talented young designers to carry on her vision for the brand. Over the next decade, the brand releases many new items that increase the brand’s popularity even further. Some of these new items included: a new silk blouse which quickly became an essential part of the brand’s wardrobe and known attitude, a Tertulia dress with a hand-painted design that was inspired by Nouveau motifs, and a pair of loose silk trousers that were designed to glide over the skin and embody a relaxed elegance.
The cape design was really popular for the brand back in the 1970s, embodying a sense of flow and freedom. The year 1972 saw the brand’s first boutique open in Paris. Romantic, bohemian, and nomadic elements were combined together in 1973 with the release of the brand’s Rachmaninoff dress. This dress featured graphic black and white motifs and a matching scarf.
In 1974, Karl Lagerfeld emerged as the sole designer for Chloe, his time with the brand is marked by his soft and flowy silk dresses. These Lagerfeld dresses show off his prolific talents through the feminine, romantic, and carefree designs of the dress’s lace inserts. In 1975 Lagerfeld became the brand’s executive designer. The start of the 1980s sees Lagerfeld creating new dresses for the 1982 and 1983 spring-summer collections. 1982’s was inspired by music, while 1983’s was inspired by sewing. In the 2000s, the brand embraced the succession of three female creative directors: Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, and Hannah MacGibbon. Throughout the decade, the brand broadened its horizons by launching new accessories like bags, shoes, and other small leather goods. 2001 marked the launch of the See By Chloe sister brand.
The next creative director Clare Keller joined the team in 2011. Her direction captures the brand’s history with fluid, free, and feminine designs with just a hint of boyish charm. 2014 was the turning point for Keller, and all of the knowledge and experience she had accumulated throughout her life fell into place with the commercially and critically successful Spring-Summer 2015 collection. The current creative director of Chloe is Gabriela Hearts, who took over in 2020, and has been leading the charge ever since with her lines of ready-to-wear, accessories, and leather goods.
Gabriela has had great success as the creative director at Chloe. It appears she is also quite charitable, which is always a good thing to see.

Who doesn't love dainty diamond rings? They're the perfect simple accessory for any look no matter how wild. I paired this adorable twist diamond ring from Aurate with their infinity heart ring for a simple touch of sparkle in this slightly bold outfit.
This dress from Edun is one of my favorites. I just love the print and silhouette. I'm actually following a couple pieces on eBay, The RealReal and Poshmark made in this same print. (I'm super sad that the company went out of business, they always made such pretty pieces!) It is also super soft and perfect for these early Fall days where it can get warm in the afternoon. We took these photos in the morning and by the afternoon it had warmed up to the 70s.
One of the things I love about this dress is it is very easy to wear. I don't have to worry about finding a fun necklace to wear with it because the print is all I need. Rings, on the other hand, are always a good idea so I'll usually load them up when I wear a crazier dress. I kept it simple this time with just the two Aurate rings and my wedding set but I would also opt to add in some more statementy rings a la Phoebe in Friends.
Fall leaves were taking a little while to show their colors this year but luckily this particular tree at least had some yellow and orange when we took photos. I always wish that Fall could last longer, it's my favorite season. I want to drive through beautiful red, orange and yellow trees for longer than a couple weeks. Enjoy the crisp air and that scent of Fall. Then we're stuck with months and months of no leaves and cold weather, boo! They're saying that we may have a milder than usual Winter this year which would be nice. But, then again, global warming is not something to be excited about.
In related news, how is it already November?! Only a few more weeks until we're celebrating Thanksgiving in the US and then Christmas month begins! My other favorite season (although technically not a season, but you know what I mean, ha ha...)
