Last week I mentioned I would be doing some gift guides and Lydia requested gifts for the fussy father, aka one who "doesn't want anything and doesn't like sports." You guys love to hit me with the hard ones, don't you. This is pretty much like my Dad though, he doesn't really need or want anything (he does like sports, but not in a collectible way.) I say go with something corny that is unique to your father, a good book or movie, maybe something for the car, etc. You could always fall back on the trusted tie, too. [I'm showing some expensive options but you can obviously find cheaper ones]

Okay, so I'm not rich, but I am wearing rich colors ;) I love these purple pants so much but whenever I sit down they ride up really far on my leg so I should probably stop wearing them to work because I sit down most of the day...depressing! Today was my first day without my boss, it wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be but I still barely had a moment to breathe. This should be very interesting, hopefully things don't go terribly wrong...

Here is my dream outfit for visiting a Christmas Tree Farm which I did on Friday [evidence in this post]! When picking out your Christmas tree you want to be warm, comfortable and still look great. You and your companions will want some warm hats, plenty of snuggly sweaters and cardigans, and more. For these looks I went for some leggings, Christmas/Winter sweaters, an awesome coat and durable boots! And we can't forget gloves, hats and scarves, but it isn't that cold yet this year so I just did a hat! I went a bit red crazy in the first look...but come on, it's Christmas!
Coat: Moschino $2855
Leggings: Current/Elliot $795
Boots: Rag & Bone $795
Hat: N.Peal Cashmere $67.35
TOTAL: $5587.35
And now here's a Dress for Less for good measure. I tried to do under $150, but I was bad and went over by $5 ;)
Sweater: Mossimo Supply Co via Target $24.99
Coat [there's a red version too]: Merona via Target $59.99
Leggings: H&M $14.95
Boots: Xhilaration via Target $49.99
Hat: Forever 21 $5.50
TOTAL: $155.42
I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving and long weekend [to those who celebrate of course]. I had a lovely, relaxing time! We still have one day left of the weekend, so make it a good one! Here are some photos from Friday when we went to get our Christmas Tree. There are a lot of photos, so beware, I hate choosing what photos to post! It was SO sunny on Friday that almost all my photos were taken into the sun so there are tons of rainbows, ha ha. It was also quite warm, very weird...it doesn't feel like Christmas is a month away. I DON'T LIKE IT! Get cold!!! [I'm going to regret that...]
Outer Sweater: Ralph Lauren (Goodwill) $8, Red Sweater: Madewell via ShopBop gift card, Leggings: H&M $15, Boots: Borrowed from Grandma
On Thanksgiving my sister and I decided to make Christmas countdown things like we used to when we were little. All it takes is strips of red and green construction paper, and tape/staples. You make a strip for each day left until Christmas and make circles with them intertwining them together. Then each day you take off a ring!
And as an added bonus, here is a rather amusing photo. You guys always see my serious side (...), but I am actually quite insane. ;) I laugh ALL the time and I cry every time. I can't even remember why I am laughing in this picture, but this is how you will see me most of the time.

It is finally time for me to go Christmas crazy, I always make sure to wait until after Thanksgiving is over. But now I will be listening Christmas music every day and watching tons of Christmas movies!!! We're getting our Christmas tree today! Every year we go to Jones Family Farms the day after Thanksgiving to get our Christmas tree. It is one of my favorite traditions [the other is the 3 movies we watch in the days leading up to Christmas Eve (Holiday Inn, White Christmas and Scrooge with Albert Finney)]. Then later today we're going to my Aunt's to celebrate Thanksgiving with my Dad's side of the family. Yesterday we went to my Grandmother's for my Mom's side. We split it up so we don't have to rush to be 2 places in one day.
Here are my outfits from the week, I had Jury Duty on Tuesday...GROSS and Wednesday was my bosses' last day at work. I am SO depressed, he is one of the main reasons I love my job so much, but he had to move back to his home state :/ I have no idea how I am going to survive at work without him. If Thursday and Friday of last week are any indication of what it's going to be like I will die...it may be time to try and get my dream job in fashion...I'll give it a few months to see if I can handle it though ;)
BUT on the plus side some amazingness occurred on Monday! If you read my Twitter you already know, but if not here's the story: As you know from this post, I've been obsessed with the Miu Miu leopard sandals since I saw them. I have eBay email me whenever an item is listed with "Miu Miu leopard" in the name. Every day I would get a couple emails saying "New items matched ..." and every time I would look and be disappointed because my beloved shoes would not be there. But Monday morning was different, I checked the email and there they were!! THE SHOES!! I held my breath and looked at the size and they were MY SIZE! So I hurriedly called over a coworker and asked her "am I crazy for buying these" And being the fashion lover she is she said, "Of course not!" So I pulled the trigger and bought them, they were expensive but totally worth it because I LOVE them! They arrived on Wednesday and fit perfectly! So of course I wore them for both my Thanksgiving celebrations ;)

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone in the USA!!! I hope you are all able to spend time with your family and loved ones! Today I am off to my Grandmother's and tomorrow night we're going to my Aunt's. So I get to have two delicious turkey dinners...mmmmm!
Today is the day that we all voice what we are thankful for every day of our lives. I am thankful for my amazing family and friends (that includes blogging friends as well). I wouldn't last a day without them. I am also thankful that I am able to spend my time doing what I love; fashion blogging and working on my Potter sites.
I am blessed to not have to worry about having enough money to afford to live the way I do. These are the types of things we don't appreciate nearly enough. There are people who go hungry, have no homes and no clothing. We all need to remember to help out those in need when we can. I don't do that nearly as often as I should, but I am going to make a point of doing it more.
P.S. What is it with me on Holidays? I always post a cartoon image... :p

This is the last of the Spring 2012 collections that I'm posting. First up is Matthew Williamson. I love the colors and prints in this collection. A lot of these looks would totally work for Fall, but Fall is pretty much coming to a close now so they would need a heavy jacket.
Issa:The bottom three looks I chose are my favorites, the print is amazing and would look wonderful at the beach. The top 3 are more upscale and would work for dinner parties or other fancy events.
Elie Saab: I loved the rich colors of this collection. It is so glamorous, I just wish I had an occasion to wear something like this. The cuts are so amazing and would flatter almost anyone. If you switched out the fabrics in the shorter dresses to jersey or another more casual material they would definitely be great for work environments as well.
Prada: This collection was so fun, I loved all the car themed shoes. But I decided to post some more wearable looks. The length of the skirts is perfect, they aren't too short and they aren't too long. And the bathing suit has an amazing cut, I would definitely rock that on the beach.

You get two posts today, how exciting! :D
A lot of the spring looks I posted previously were more Fall than Spring, but these looks are VERY Spring. The Ralph Lauren, Erdem and Oscar de la Renta collections were full of soft colors, florals and flowy dresses and skirts. The Erdem collection is my favorite, such perfection.

The holiday season is fast approaching and I know what is on many of your minds; how can I get the best present for [insert person here] for the best deal! One of your options is going out on Black Friday and being trampled by other shoppers. Or you can shop online and find coupon codes! One of the ways to get more bang for your buck is with a coupon code. There are many websites available that gather coupon codes for various online stores so it is always a good idea to search for coupon codes before you buy anything from clothes, to books and even electronics! There are codes for pretty much anything, that is one of my main shopping tips for anyone.
Once you find a good coupon the next question is...'what do I get?!' Well, if you are shopping for a friend or sister, you can't go wrong with beauty products or accessories! Here are some great choices from Nordstrom, all of them are under $50 with the exception of the YSL set which is $59. And don't forget to save with a Nordstrom coupon!
[I highly recommend the L'Occitane gift set, the scent smells like Lemon Pez, I love it so much (I got it from a hotel last November at the Harry Potter premiere)!]
[Hopefully I will do some more gift guides over the next few weeks. Anyone have any categories they would like to see me feature? Ex. coats, hats, for girls, for geeky guys, etc.]
