I've been neglecting my blazers this year so doing these throwback posts is helping lessen my guilt! I can't believe I've had this Chanel blazer for 3 years already! Time certainly flies. Both the blazer and heels are some of my favorite buys from Roundabout. I've had to limit my trips there to just when they have their end of season sales otherwise I spend far too much money!

Blazer: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Tee: Cullen (Rue La La), Jeans: Free People (Gilt Groupe), Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Resale), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La)

The Original: (I look angry because I used to take my photos around 6am, so it's a tired face)
I wasn't planning on buying anything this month, but one weekend my mom and I went to Lord and Taylor to kill some time. Always a bad idea! I tried on 5 things and fell in love with a pretty blue shirt dress, luckily it was on sale for $60 and I had a $50 gift card!

Here's my second Easter outfit! It was this dress' second birthday over the weekend so it was fitting that I wore it again. Another non-characteristic piece for me, yet it's one of my favorite items of clothing! So glad I kept up my search for it and finally bought it.  It's been worn so many times, even in Paris last April!

Paris Map Dress: Carven (YOOX), Suede Jacket: LAUREN Ralph Lauren (Marshalls), Sandals: Cole Haan 'Minetta' (Amazon)

As usual we had two separate Easter celebrations this year so we didn't have to worry about going two places at once on Sunday! I wore this on Saturday to celebrate with my Dad's side of the family.  The dress is not something I would normally buy but for some reason I was drawn to it and it actually looked good on me when I tried it on. Also helps that I only paid $10 for it!

Dress: Cynthia Steffe (Lord & Taylor, also here), Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Resale), Tights c/o Hanes

Wearing black doesn't have to be boring, and it isn't! I may be in all black (except the bit of gray in my sweater) but the details make the look. The zipper detailing on the jeans adds a fun touch and the black and gold necklace is a perfect pop over my black tee. So forget all those people that say wearing black makes you boring! Black is the best!

I hope everyone who celebrates has a Happy Easter this weekend! We will be celebrating on Saturday and Sunday with each side of the family, ha ha. But you know what that means: two Easter outfits! WOO!

Cardigan: Charlotte Russe c/o Tanger, Tee: Cullen (Rue La La), Jeans: J Brand c/o Marshalls, Flats: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Necklace: House of Harlow (South Moon Under)

This will be the oldest of my throwback outfits. I think this was my first actual "outfit post" on the blog after I bought this blazer and jacket. I was super jazzed about my purchases, and the excitement was well founded seeing as they're still in my closet. The jeans and tee, not so much. I was still able to recreate the look pretty closely. I could have been more exact with jeans, but I felt like wearing the distressed pair.

Blazer: Jones New York (Burlington Coat Factory), Tee: Everlane, Jeans: Current/Elliott, Boots: No.704b. (DSW), Necklace: Indulgems, Sunglasses: Chanel

The Original:

I keep forgetting I have these crazy awesome suede pants in my closet. I just gravitate toward my jeans so often that I don't think about my other pant options. I call these my swishy pants because they make a funny noise whenever I move, ha ha. This top was a buy during Piperlime's closeout sale. It was the piece in the order I was most excited about but it gets the least wear. I've only worn it one or two other times. But I'm liking the mix of textures when you mix the velvet, smooth "silk" and suede!

Cardigan: Banana Republic c/o Westfield Trumbull, Top: Piperlime, Suede Pants: Blank (South Moon Under), Sandals: Franco Sarto (DSW), Necklace: Madewell

I wore this a couple weekends ago to do some shopping with my mom. I wasn't planning on buying anything but came across a really pretty dress (that I almost didn't try on) and it was on clearance for $60. I had a $50 gift card, so how could I resist?! It was a nice warm day and this dress is long-sleeved, so I didn't really need the sweater on top, but I'm still layering while I can!

Cardigan: Lauren by Ralph Lauren (Lord & Taylor),  Dress: Edun c/o ThredUp, Over the Knee Boots: Audrey Brooke (DSW), Bag: Emm Kuo (Roundabout Resale)

Get ready for a photo overload! I narrowed down quite a bit, but I always take and love too many photos. Plus I can't not share a picture of the White House, right? Most of these are in order, except the White House because I wanted that to be first! I spared you my boring museum photos.
The White House - definitely smaller than you'd think (just like the Mona Lisa)
