Time for another look inspired by fashion week! Here's a nice simple, monochromatic look from Brooks Brothers. I went a little bit lighter than their navy but it's still quite similar. All you need are skinny cords, sweater and cardigan in the same or similar colors. Next find a matching bag and loafers, burgundy in my case. Top it off with a scarf tied at the neck and you're all set!

Funnily enough my bag and shoes are the same designer, bought at years apart, in different thrift stores. The bag was $2 and the shoes $4. Some of my best finds!

Cardigan: Kohl's (old), Sweater: Banjo + Matilda (The Outnet), Corduroy Pants: Abercrombie, Scarf: Jason Wu x Target, Bag: Etienne Aigner (thrifted), Loafers: Etienne Aigner (thrifted)

Last weekend we had a nice Spring-like day so I decided to wear light layers. I ended up not needing the purple cardigan, but it adds some extra color to the look and who doesn't love jewel tones? Funny how there can still be a lot of snow on the ground but it was almost 60 degrees outside. Ahh Mother Nature, so weird.

Cardigan: Max Studio, Shirt: Philosophy (Marshalls), Corduroy Pants: Abercrombie, Two-Tone Ballet Flats: Chanel (eBay), Sunglasses: Chanel

If I had a date for Valentine's Day I imagine I would wear something like this. Cozy, but still showing a bit of skin. I don't really have much red in my closet so burgundy will have to do. I hope everyone who has someone to celebrate with enjoys their plans! I will be watching a Good Eats chocolate marathon on the Cooking Channel. WOO!

Sweater: Abercrombie, Skirt: T by Alexander Wang (net-a-porter), Boots: Audrey Brooke 'Mirie' (DSW)

I am lucky enough to have friends who work at Disney and one of them had a few extra guest tickets lying around so on Saturday we were able to visit both Animal Kingdom and Epcot! So the only park we didn't visit this trip was Hollywood Studios (which I'm not the biggest fan of anyway.) We headed to Animal Kingdom in the morning to go on Safari and spent the rest of the morning into the afternoon at Epcot. We had lunch in Italy at Via Napoli, so tasty! After lunch we walked through the rest of the countries and on the way out I got some DELICIOUS ice cream from France, we're talking top 3 scoops of ice cream I've ever had.

Tee: Vince (The Outnet), Corduroys: Abercrombie, Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea', Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Saks Fifth Avenue), Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika' (Ditto)

Since I was working most of the day Thursday I wasn't able to take outfit pictures until later in the day when it was dark, so I apologize for the horrible quality! These were taken at Universal Studios after we ran in for a quick ride at Gringotts. After that we went to one of my favorite restaurants, Antojitos, followed by dessert at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium where I had AMAZING flourless chocolate cake.

Cashmere Sweater: Club Monaco, Corduroys: Abercrombie, Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea'

Welcome my newest sweater - the Trinket Embellished sweater from Banjo + Matilda. You saw it last week in my monthly wardrobe roundup and many of you were itching to see how I would style it! Well here's look one - monochromatic with some "crazy" shoes! We had a few warm days last week so I was able to wear my Lanvin sandals again before it becomes too chilly.

Sweater: Banjo + Matilda (The Outnet), Corduroys: Abercrombie & Fitch, Sandals: Lanvin (Net-a-Porter)

After a bit of a break, here's the second outfit from when I visited my sister a couple weekends ago (first here.) I had my dad take these photos really quick so I didn't do my usual check and my necklace is a bit screwy! And we weren't paying attention to the sun so the sweater is 2 different colors, haha! The price we pay for rushing.

Sweater: Abercombie & Fitch, Jeans: Free People 'Jax' patched skinny, Flats: Burberry Prorsum (net-a-porter), Necklace: BijouLimon (etsy), Bag: Emm Kuo (Roundabout Resale), Sunglasses: Prada via Ditto Endless Eyewear

I wore this to do some shopping at Home Goods and Marshalls with my Mom. Luckily I managed not to buy anything.  Marshalls tried to tempt me with AMAZING designer boots. I'm talking Saint Laurent, Jimmy Choo and Chloe! Sadly none were my size, which my wallet was probably very thankful for. While still at great discount they were all between $500 and $700. The store I went to does occasionally get big designers, not not many at once. I've never seen that many major designers in a Marshalls at one time, was like being in a candy store!

A girl complemented my sweater while we were in the store and I stupidly neglected to tell her I got it at Marshalls! Missed opportunity. Ha ha.

P.S. My youngest cousin turns SIXTEEN today. I feel so old...

Once again I'm able to wear a weird combo thanks to the Fall weather. Sweater on top, shorts on bottom! Woohoo! I was struggling between two pairs of shoes, but in the end my Lanvin sandals won out...they're my closet obsession of the past couple months if you couldn't tell.

I also love the cut of this sweater. The deep-v is a nice change from my usual crewnecks. But that does mean it will be harder to wear once the temperatures drop below freezing. Won't stop me from trying though!

Sweater: Abercombie & Fitch, Shorts: Banana Republic, Suede Sandals: Lanvin (Net-a-Porter), Necklace: Geoclassics

Here was my other shoe option. These Alexander Wang booties are approaching their 6th birthday! Can't believe I've had them that long!

This month I had a big chunk of advertising (and side hustle) money burning a hole in my pocket. I used a LOT of self control and only made one purchase with it - an order from Abercrombie during their Labor Day sale. I'm hoping to save the rest of it to pay for my portion of an airbnb for London this New Years! But who knows, something crazy may catch my eye and I'll be badddddd.

It has been QUITE a while since I've owned a pair of corduroy pants. I think I had one pair back in college but I only wore them twice before getting rid of them. They just weren't my thing. But back on Labor Day weekend these skinny cords from Abercrombie caught my eye. I loved the dusty blue color and the slight frayed hem.  Speaking of Abecrombie, did you see their latest lookbook?! Gorgeous. So looks like both cords and Abercrombie are making a comeback.
