My closet room is a little bit more decorated now! I finally got a cork board to put up some magazine clippings and I got some fashion prints for Christmas. My aunt also gave me a fun shoe calendar!  I'm so glad my roommate gave me two rooms at our place so I could make my dream closet, its perfection.

So I figured you guys may like to see my updated closet, even though it isn't much different from the first time I showed it.

This set of collections is all about romantic looks. The Alexander McQueen collection was more of a dark romantic theme. With this collection Sarah Burton really went back to Lee's old theatric ways with the crazy masks on the girls. It was a nice touch even if no one will wear the looks that way. I could definitely see a bunch of these gorgeous gowns on movie red carpets this coming year.

The Valentino collection was beautiful as always and I love the hair. The lace, sheerness and textures are so gorgeous. I am normally not a real girly girl but these dresses are so pretty, I would kill to own any of them, if only I had an occasion to wear one... ;) I really like how they paired the dresses with flat sandals, it's a great contrast and really makes you focus more on the dresses.
[See what I did with my title? I changed the title of Night at the Museum...I'm soooooo funny, ha ha]
Yesterday I took an unplanned day off work to go to New York City with my aunt, cousin and little (15 year old...TALL) brother.  They lost power so they stayed at my parent's house for a few days. We intended to go to the Natural History Museum and the Central Park Zoo but we only had time for the museum.  We walked all the way from Grand Central and it took an two and a half hours...we did stop for lunch though.

For those of you that have seen Night at the Museum, the actual museum is nothing like it, they made it much smaller in the movie.  They do have many of the same exhibits though, but I sadly couldn't find Attila the Hun, one of my favorite characters in the movie.  Enough blabbing, here are a few photos from the day! I even made sure to take some fashion related photos!

It's been a while (aka a week) since I wore this outfit but I had to post these pictures! I must have been feeling very monochromatic last week because I wore this and my Burgundy/Pink look.  I wore one of my favorite dresses that I got almost one year ago from my mom for my birthday. It is McQ by Alexander McQueen and we got it at Century 21 for far less than the retail price!  I looked it up when I first bought it and found it that it was from one of Lee's last collections before his tragic death so that makes it all the more special [it is Autumn 2009].  I quite enjoy these photos, especially that jumping one, it came out so good!  The neighbors weren't home so I didn't feel self conscious, ha ha, so you get some crazy pictures too.

The Alexander McQueen Resort 2012 collection is amazing as always. Sarah Burton is doing SUCH a great job in keeping Lee's vision for the house. She has put her own touch on it, but it has the same feeling. Okay, so the model in these photos may be abnormally thin so no normal person will look like her in these clothes, but they are GORGEOUS! I am in love with all the jackets.

Last week my lovely friend Emily (of Ruby Slipper Journeys) asked for my help in finding a similar sweater to this Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Cropped Crew Neck Pullover. She didn't have a specific price but asked that it be, "a grey, pullover cropped sweater (it has to be cropped as a lot of my dresses are high waisted). It doesn't have to be cheaper, well, not cheaper than the sale price, but if it's on the expensive side I want it to be made out of some reasonable material... like wool!" So...here we go!

The sale price was $62 [retail is $205] so I tried to stay under it, but that's a pretty good amount of dough so I was confident! But boy was this hard!!! I kept finding perfect sweaters, but they weren't cropped so that crossed them off the list.  Hopefully these few choices suffice! :) [I did throw in an expensive one too though] What I find amusing is that it is so hard to find the perfect simple piece, like the perfect blazer for example. So we all end up settling for something less than perfect (though we may end up loving it more than what we were originally searching for)
H&M - $19.95  [not exactly cropped but its a great price and a great match]
Rubbish - $38 [this one has pockets, but otherwise its a good match]
Bridgette Bailey - $65
Splendid - $79.00

There was also this cropped McQ sweater but it has lighter grey on the sleeves which isn't what Emily wanted, you may see it here though!
This was a very interesting week.  Over the weekend I went camping, then Monday we had a family party because my cousins from Ohio were visiting!  Then the rest of the week was filled with work and preparing for my upcoming move! I'm only moving 20 minutes away but it's still scary.

This might be my last week shooting my outfit pictures at home...WEIRD!!! I'm moving to my new place this weekend and hopefully once the week is over I'll be all settled in and organized. I would love to be able to get it all done on Sunday but I doubt that will happen.  But I'm so excited! YAY! Hopefully there is a good spot to take pictures...maybe in my awesome closet room once I get it all ready! I posted some inspiration photos for my closet on my Facebook, check it out!

On Wednesday I wore my adorable new frog necklace from ShopNBC! I won it through couturelust!! It is their Green Jade & Garnet Frog Pendant and I named him Trevor (after Neville's toad). Why am I so obsessed with animal jewelry, 75% of my necklaces are animal related. Here are some more photos of it, click to enlarge:

My camera is basically dead, so these aren't the best photos. What a great time for it to break...right? I suppose I should just buy a new camera now and say bye bye to all my money :p I'm going to stick with a point and shoot, but get a better one than my current one. I don't take enough pictures to need a DSLR so why spend a ton of money on it...
