Last Saturday Lydia and I attended a brunch in Wethersfield for Connecticut bloggers. It was held at Heirloom Market and organized by the lovely Nonee, who runs CT Blogger Babes. There were a little over 25 lovely ladies in attendance for a delicious meal followed by some discussions about how to best reach your blogging potential. I actually learned quite a few tips!

We left the event with goodie bags containing fun little bits and bobs like chapstick, lip gloss and an adorable burned wood spoon. I also won a $75 gift card to Pearls and Plaid in Old Saybrook. Looks like I'll be planning a weekend visit!

I decided to wear my Carven Paris map print dress because I haven't worn it that much this Summer (I did bring it to Italy, though!) It will forever be one of my favorite dresses. I'm so glad I splurged on it a couple years ago, it's definitely been worth it. I also broke out my rose gold watch for a bit more glam, but the battery died so it was just for looks.

Last Sunday Lydia hosted an event at Athleta in Greenwich to help fashionable ladies get fit in style! I don't exactly work out (I take walks with my Mom when it's warm out) but I went to check out their offerings and to support her! They had quite a few cute pieces and bathing suits. But I resisted and walked out with nothing.

This is my last post for two weeks because on Sunday I'm headed off to...ITALY!!!! WOOO! I'll be back to regular posting on May 22nd, but in the meantime stay tuned to my Instagram for snaps!

Top c/o Simple Retro, Printed Pants: Proenza Schouler (Yoox), Mules: BCBGeneration 'Beverly' (Saks Off 5th at Clinton Crossing), Bag: Chanel Classic 2.55 Double Flap (Madison Avenue Couture), Sunglasses: Chanel, R2D2 Necklace c/o Kohl's

This is me trying to brighten up a gloomy (almost rainy) day. How'd I do?! I bought this jacket almost exactly 4 years ago at Target and while it doesn't come out often it always bring a smile to my face. I mean who doesn't love a bright purple rain jacket?!

Floral Jacket: Target, Turtleneck: Vanessa Bruno (Coco's $10 sale), Jeans: Free People, Necklace: House of Harlow (from Lydia), Two-Tone Sandals: Cole Haan 'Minetta' (Amazon)

We're only five days away from Christmas!! WOOO!! Even though this look is mainly black, it does have a holiday vibe thanks to the patchwork blazer. It's one of my favorites because I know I'll never see anyone else wearing it. And if I do, we'll be instant BFFs.

Patchwork Blazer: Etro (Roundabout Resale), Tee:  Everlane, Patchwork Jeans: Free People, Pumps: Coach 'Nacie' (Amazon)

If you read my wardrobe update post last week you'll already know most of the story on these pants. I have wanted them since September 2014 when I saw Emma Stone wear them at an event. I found them on Net-a-Porter soon after that and they were a bit too pricey ($1500+) so I resigned to the fact that I would never own them.  Earlier this year they were $578 at The Outnet, still too expensive. But then, one fateful day, I checked Yoox and found 3 different versions of the pants and they were an extra 15% thanks to a coupon code I had! So I splurged and paid $247 to add these beauties to my closet.

I was going to wear them right away, but then a company asked if I wanted to review one of their crop tops. Since it was black I decided to wait and wear the pants with that since I had envisioned wearing them with a crop top at some point. The top is a nice sturdy fabric and not too cropped so it was a perfect match for the pants! I also really like the higher neckline as well.

Crop Top c/o Simple Retro (Amazon), Printed Pants: Proenza Schouler (Yoox), Sandals: Simply Vera Wang (Kohl's), Necklace: bought in Greece
