This particular throwback needed a MAJOR update. The original, while a good concept, did not work. The jeans were too baggy and the boots did nothing to help that fact. And since this sweater is an extra large I needed everything else to be form-fitting to offset the oversized look up top. I also don't have the original jeans or boots anymore. (I might have the jeans saved in a box because they were one of my first designer buys after seeing that Emma Watson loved the brand, haha) I wore this a couple weekends ago to see Beauty and the Beast with two friends.

Happy Friday! Another outfit from before last week's blizzard. I wore this when my parents and I went to go check out my aunt's new spa - Balancing Bodies Spa in Rocky Hill, CT. So go get a massage from her if you're in the area! She's been in the biz for over 20 years.

After that we headed to my Grandma's for the Super Bowl. I was almost a little too warm in this outfit, even without a coat. Then, of course, we were hit with 12 inches of snow. Stupid winter!

Turtleneck: Vanessa Bruno (Coco's $10 sale), Sweater: Madewell (Shopbop), Jeans: Free People, Over the Knee Boots: Audrey Brooke 'Mirie' (DSW), Necklace: Geoclassics

If I had a date for Valentine's Day I imagine I would wear something like this. Cozy, but still showing a bit of skin. I don't really have much red in my closet so burgundy will have to do. I hope everyone who has someone to celebrate with enjoys their plans! I will be watching a Good Eats chocolate marathon on the Cooking Channel. WOO!

Sweater: Abercrombie, Skirt: T by Alexander Wang (net-a-porter), Boots: Audrey Brooke 'Mirie' (DSW)

Another outfit with my trinket embellished sweater! This time I went with super skinny jeans and over the knee boots. I feel like I can pair it with anything, the only thing that makes it different from a basic sweater is the "trinkets" and they're silver so they match with everything. So happy with this birthday buy! I'll be wearing the heck out of this over the next few months.

Sweater: Banjo + Matilda (The Outnet), Jeans: J Brand Maria High Rise (The RealReal), Over the Knee Boots: Audrey Brooke 'Mirie' (DSW)

Happy Halloween everyone!!!! I hope you all have more exciting plans than me. I'll just be having a Halloween movie marathon by myself. Casper, Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, Teen Witch and more! Even though I'm not going out I put together a super quick pumpkin costume instead of sharing my Willy Wonka for the 3rd year, haha.

Tee: Everlane, Dress: Miss Selfridge (Lord & Taylor), Over-the-Knee Boots: Audrey Brooke 'Mirie' (DSW)

I've had this dress for almost 4 years and this is the first time I've worn it unbuttoned. I have no idea why I never did it before because it looks so much better this way! It's a little frumpy when I wear it buttoned because its looser up top. I love that this dress looks like three pieces even though it's only one., Makes it so easy to wear, just throw on a fun pair of shoes and you're good to go.

Dress: DKNY (Net-a-Porter), Over-the-Knee Boots: Audrey Brooke 'Mirie' (DSW)

I wore this a couple weekends ago to do some shopping with my mom. I wasn't planning on buying anything but came across a really pretty dress (that I almost didn't try on) and it was on clearance for $60. I had a $50 gift card, so how could I resist?! It was a nice warm day and this dress is long-sleeved, so I didn't really need the sweater on top, but I'm still layering while I can!

Cardigan: Lauren by Ralph Lauren (Lord & Taylor),  Dress: Edun c/o ThredUp, Over the Knee Boots: Audrey Brooke (DSW), Bag: Emm Kuo (Roundabout Resale)

Stop the presses! I broke my jean streak and wore a skirt! I paired it with a super comfy sweater and over the knee boots to minimize chilliness.  The only problem with this skirt is it is SUPER high waisted, we're talking inches above my belly button. But I can take a bit of discomfort in exchange for a pretty skirt.

Coat: TJ Maxx, Sweater: Madewell, Skirt: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Boots: Audrey Brooke (DSW), Necklace: House of Harlow (gift from Lydia)

Post titles are getting harder and harder . I was going for a play on green with envy but it doesn't really work. Here's a cozy outfit I wore to watch Star Wars with my family. We watched Episodes 5 and 6 with a dinner break in between.  Exciting, right? This sweater is one of my favorites, especially since it's cashmere. It makes at least 3 appearances a year on the blog, though I wear it more often than that.

Sweater:  T.Babaton c/o Aritzia, Jeans: J Brand 'high rise Maria' (Gilt), Over-the-Knee Boots: Audrey Brooke (DSW)

Happy Star Wars: Episode VII, The Force Awakens release day! I'm a horrible fan and I didn't go to a midnight showing, nor am I going today. But I have two excuses. 1. I hate crowds, so opening weekend is bad enough and 2. I'm going with my Dad, sister and brothers since we saw episodes 1, 2 and 3 together in theaters. So we have to find a day that worked for everyone. We are going tomorrow morning at 11:20am!

But, in celebration, here's a Star Wars themed outfit! Empire Strikes Back is probably my favorite of the movies, so this shirt I got from my Kohl's Star Wars Photoshoot is perfect for me. I can never fully decide, it's like choosing between children. I'll be wearing my R2D2 sweatshirt when we go see the movie.

Cardigan: Banana Republic c/o Westfield Trumbull,  Tee: Mighty Fine Star Wars ''The Empire Strikes Back'' Thermal Tee c/o Kohl's, Jeans: Free People, Over-the-Knee Boots: Audrey Brooke (DSW), Storm Trooper Lapel Pin c/o Kohls

Say hello to my gorgeous new purse! I bought it the weekend before Thanksgiving and it has barely left my arm since! See this post for the story on how I ended up buying it. I had to wear it the day I bought it because that's what crazy people do with new purchases.  It was a warm-ish day so I was able to wear this 3/4 sleeve dress and knee high boots without tights!  Apparently this is a new trend called "lampshading"...so weird. Although I'm not in a dress as short as the ones those celebs are wearing.

Dress: London Times (from Lydia), Belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction (Marshalls), Boots: Audrey Brooke (DSW), Bag: Emm Kuo 'Westbourne Satchel' (Roundabout Resale)
