Decided to re-wear this outfit on a warmer day earlier this week. Can you believe I'm just wearing a tee under my leather jacket? Admittedly it was a little chilly but not horrible. This leather jacket remains one of my favorite steals. I think I need to recondition it though, it's getting a little scaly! I actually found one available on eBay too! Go snatch it up, you won't be sorry!

I also decided to break out my old ring collection. It felt a little strange to wear all my rings again after just wearing my engagement ring (and then wedding band) for months. I'll definitely start bringing some back, but maybe not all of them at once like this. Not that it's bad, but I should probably be a bit more subtle now that I'm a married woman ;)

I mixed this throwback up a bit to make it more practical for every day wear. When I originally wore this it was to work so I added the heels to dress it up a bit. Since this was worn to hang out at home I wore some slip on sneakers to grunge it down. I also wore the shorts a little higher up on my waist so they wouldn't be so long. And, funnily enough, my hair is wet in both the throwback and these photos. Sometimes you just have to take pictures when your hair is still wet.

Top: Cullen (Rue La La), Shorts: Zara, Necklace: Vanessa Mooney (giveaway), Shoes: BCBGeneration 'Yerra' Slip-on Sneaker (DSW), Sunglasses: Chanel

As I've posted many times before, this sweater is one of my favorite "Shop the boys department" pieces. I loved this sweater when I first saw it in the Neiman Marcus x Target lookbook and the fact that it was for men made no difference. In the end I had to buy a size medium in the boys department because that was all I could find, but I like the cropped look that gives it. And I get a little confidence boost knowing I can still fit into kids clothes.

These boots will also forever be my favorite giveaway win. I have won my fair share of blog giveaways over the years but these have gotten the most wear out of all the things I have won. The perfect rain (or just gloomy weather) boot.

It was a little cold for these shoes I'm wearing in the photos, but you have to make some sacrifices for the sake of fashion, right? (Obviously I wore different shoes when I was really outside, but for 5 minutes of photos I dealt with it) The original pants in this look were from ASOS. I liked them but the quality was poor so eventually I got rid of them. Now I have these purple Banana Republic pants to fill the gap!

Sweater: LAUREN Ralph Lauren (Lord & Taylor), Tee: Cullen (Rue La La), Pants c/o Banana Republic 'Sloan' in purple, Heels: Miu Miu leopard platform sandals (eBay), Necklace: Vanessa Mooney (giveaway), Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Ozzie Square Baby Aiden' (Shopbop)

I have had this look saved since July to recreate with my crazy vintage suede jacket - first seen here. Whenever I browse through Net-a-Porter's new arrivals I always find outfit inspiration. One of my favorite things about Net-a-Porter is that they style pieces into full looks rather than just showing you the item with jeans. I find that so much more inspiring. This particular look is for the Valentino Fringed Beaded Suede Jacket and was super simple to recreate with light jeans a black top and pumps.

Vintage Suede Jacket: William Barry - Brandon Colorado (Vintanthromodern), Top: Cullen (Rue La La), Jeans: Everlane "The High-Rise Skinny Jean" in Mid-Blue, Shoes: Nicholas Kirkwood suede Prism pumps (NET-A-PORTER), Bag: Chanel Classic 2.55 Double Flap (Madison Avenue Couture)

Now that all my trips are over it's back to Throwback Outfit Thursdays! Sometimes basic outfits are all you need. This skirt is always fun since I can play with the length a bit because of the design. I usually opt for it to be a bit shorter but I can also make it closer to my knees. And my mouse flats, Jacques and Gus, are always crowd pleasers.

In addition to a style rut, I have also been in a hair rut. So I decided to experiment a bit and did two french braids into a half-ponytail type thing. I was going to pull them into a full ponytail or bun, but thought this looked cute. It also added a bit more interest to this somewhat basic outfit. It's all in the details, right?

Tee: Cullen (Rue La La), Jeans: Free People 'Jax' Patchwork, Flats: Diane von Furstenberg (Marshalls) Necklace: bought in Greece

I've been neglecting my blazers this year so doing these throwback posts is helping lessen my guilt! I can't believe I've had this Chanel blazer for 3 years already! Time certainly flies. Both the blazer and heels are some of my favorite buys from Roundabout. I've had to limit my trips there to just when they have their end of season sales otherwise I spend far too much money!

Blazer: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Tee: Cullen (Rue La La), Jeans: Free People (Gilt Groupe), Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Resale), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La)

The Original: (I look angry because I used to take my photos around 6am, so it's a tired face)
