This time of year is full of holiday parties so we need a bunch of outfits to wear for all the parties.  You can obviously recycle looks for multiple events, but why not use them as an excuse for more cute outfits? (I'm wearing the same thing on Christmas and Christmas Eve [my Theory dress] ;) which are the only holiday parties I have, but if I had more places to go I would totally get this look.)  

So here's a nice affordable look you can add to your holiday wardrobe!  I went for a twist on the classic LBD with a sequin and lace dress (the back of the dress has some lace on the shoulders) and finished it off with some pearl/light pink accessories!  The best part...it's only $84!!!
I don't like using Forever 21 too much for these anymore but its a good place to get cheap jewelry and stuff.  It doesn't last as long but the price is right ;)
(I'm not saying I don't like Forever 21...I'm just still a bit angry at them for their dumb return/exchange policy and I know some people dislike them for the quality)

One of my favorite movies is Clueless starring Alicia Silverstone. What many people don't know is that it is a modern interpretation of the novel Emma by Jane Austen, which was also made into a film starring Gwyneth Paltrow (among other versions).  One of the things I love about the film is the fashion, Cher wears so many crazy outfits but a lot of them can still be worn now and will look current. 

I decided to do a Dress for Less based on my favorite outfit of hers, the maroon dress. It was hard to find a good shot so you'll have to settle for these bad ones. I wish I could find heels the same color as the dress, but these were the perfect shape to match hers. These never come out as good as I imagine them in my head since its always impossible to find exactly what you're looking for. Hopefully it's not too horrible.

The dress was quite hard...so I cheated a bit..there are hardly any velvet dresses with Peter Pan collars out there :/  Not many simple velvet dresses that aren't skin tight or nasty, either XD  So sorry this one stinks, I tried my best I also posted a not velvet one that's pretty cute.

I LOVE velvet, so I'm very excited that it is one of the major trends for Fall (I would have worn it anyway ;) ).  Here's a dress for less featuring the awesome fabric.  I decided to turn a skirt and bodysuit into a dress-like thing and then had to add a sweater for some coverage.  This look is a bit severe for every day, but the good thing about all these pieces is that you can mix and match with a ton of other items. (It is also a bit more expensive than my usual Dress for Lesses, its hard to not use Forever 21...but I'm still angry with them)  I also still don't know if I like this...had a bit of a mental block...

Sorry there was no post yesterday, life caught up with me & I didn't have time along with commenting on everyone's blogs & other junk I had to do. (I have to read 50 pages of Harry Potter every night to finish in time for the new movie premiere ;) I always reread the books before a movie comes out)  Also, this is pretty cool, my Harry Potter collection is featured in a book; Harry Potter Collector's Handbook! These requests have taken me a while to get to so I'm doing them all at once! First up is Sjanna who wanted me to create a look with these fun blue pants, difficult but I hope I did okay! Since the pants are a bit wild and crazy, I made a wild and crazy look, but kept it classy (I hope...)!
Next up is Jodi, who wanted me to create a look from the tights featured in this Dress for Less!  Since the most important part is at the top of the tights I had to go with a shorter silhouette and I kept things simple; this is also a little pricier than usual since its an evening look. (the dress is really expensive, but the moment I saw it I fell in love *sigh*)
Lastly, Lady Gabby wanted me to find some good thigh high and knee high socks for cheap.  This is something that I need too since I don't have ANY socks...I know, shocker, but I never want to spend the money! Maybe I will to get these babies :D (most of them have multiple colors)

I have been in love with this dress since I saw it on Keira Knightly (one of my fashion icons) and while browsing The Outnet yesterday I came upon a similar dress by T-Bags and decided it would be perfect for another edition of "Lust, Love, Less!"  So, here we go!  As coincidental as the first part was, finding a third dress proved to be very difficult...I tried really hard to find a good long match but in the end had to settle for this "sorta maybe kinda resembles it" dress.
