I loved this outfit, sadly the pictures do not do it justice. This is nothing against my amazing photographer, I just remember being super uncomfortable and in a rush when taking these because we were near a busy street.  (people kept walking in front of me and starring, as non-bloggers do, ha ha. Luckily no one was walking directly on the street behind me.) We had just finished checking out the Annual Scarecrows Along Main in Historic Wethersfield and it was fairly crowded because it was the last weekend before Halloween.

As many of you know, I have social anxiety so taking photos in public is always a huge ordeal for me. Normally we try to do photos away from people, but I really wanted pictures in this outfit and it was getting too dark to go somewhere secluded (plus we went with my Aunt and Uncle and didn't want to take too long for them.)

Just imagine me looking happier and less awkward.

P.S. Did you know cheesy landscape sweaters like this are in style again this year! So glad I bought this a couple years ago when it wasn't as in, even though people said it was weird, ha ha! Goes to show - buy what you love even if other's don't agree, one day they'll be hunting for something just like it! Who wants to buy me this fun Sea New York sweater with sheep!? So cute. Shop some more below!

It may be Spring, but that doesn't mean temperatures have warmed up! Wore this for Easter and chose these floral pants to add some color/Easter feeling since I was not about to wear a dress. For some reason I always seem to wear the same pieces with these pants. I've worn this sweater, belt and bag with them in previous outfits. I guess if it's not broke, don't fix it.

In non-outfit news, we're getting our first dose of the vaccine tomorrow!! I'm terrified, yet excited. I'm not a big fan of doctors, shots or needles so this is going to be very stressful for me. BUT I would rather get a shot and potential side effects than suffer through full blown coronavirus.  For those of you in CT or NY struggling to find an appointment, this Facebook group may be able to help with tips! And if you are in dire need of assistance they have people that will help book for you. There are similar groups for other states. Will you be getting the vaccine when it's available to you? (no judgement if not - as long as you're still following safety rules the decision to get the vaccine is up to you!)

Christian and I braved the freezing temperatures last Saturday to take these photos in between all our errands for the day. Everything was in the car except for photos so I basically froze just for the blog. We started our morning at Home Depot curbside pickup for soil, then headed to take photos on the way to the grocery store for some sale purchase. To reward us for completing our tasks we got lunch at Wendy's.

I wanted to put the focus on my super fun Splendid Harvest mules so I opted for a simple black sweater and cropped jeans to really show them off. Obviously it was a little cold for them outside but a perfect outfit for indoors.

Everyone knows I'm a sucker for leopard print, but what you may not know is Christian loves tiger print (and hates leopard...gasp!!) so when I saw these shoes had both of our favorite animal prints I had to get them. As I shared in my January wardrobe update, I missed out on them the first time around because I was waiting for a better sale price. After they sold out I followed a few pairs on eBay and waited until one went down to just over $25 to pounce (if you'll pardon the pun.)

I'm writing this post on Monday November 2nd, the day before Election Day, dreading what is to come in the next few weeks. But at least I can look back on this nice and cozy outfit I wore for a quick run to the farmers market a few Saturday's ago. Christian and I stocked up on our favorite pesto before the farmer's market season is over. We bought 1 to use right away and 3 to freeze and get us through Winter!

I wore my new boots for the occasion and paired them with super skinny jeans and a matching cashmere sweater. Basic and perfect. I also realized that this sweater is 7 years old now, wow!

Another set of phone photos because I wasn't planning on taking outfit pictures, so the color is a little off on some of them because Christian's iPhone wasn't cooperating, ha ha! I am glad I was able to get some pictures with pretty fall foliage. I didn't get to see much this year because we've been home so much.

Cashmere Sweater: Everlane, High Waisted Jeans: J Brand 'Maria' High Rise in Supreme, Boots: Marc by Marc Jacobs Burgundy Buckle Boot (Coco's on the Green)

Welp, I finally did it. I upgraded my Ray-Bans. I first got a pair of Ray-Ban Erika's in March 2015. My original pair had rubberized lenses which I thought I liked. Fast forward 5 years and they somehow became sticky and gross. In trying to clean them this Fall we ended up scratching/ruining the lenses with the cleaner - SO WEIRD! Luckily I got that pair for free so I don't feel too horrible about them getting ruined.

For my new pair I upgraded to plastic, non-rubberized frames and polarized lenses. The polarized version was $16 more than non, but if you're going to go Ray-Ban, might as well go big! I used my Shopbop gift card to get them so that made it a lot easier to stomach! Free is always good, right?

I actually started this outfit with my abecrombie corduroy pants, then paired with Burberry loafers and added the turtleneck shown here. I tried a few different jacket options but none were speaking to me so I chose this chevron vest. Then I had to change to different pants because the cords looked funny. Since I changed to jeans I swapped out the flats for heeled boots too. Funny how this turned out totally different than where I started.

Chevron Vest: Romeo & Juliet Couture 'Colorblock Faux-Fur Vest' (gift from Lydia), Cashmere Turtleneck: Vince (Marshalls), Jeans: Everlane high-rise skinny jean in mid-blue, Boots: Cordani (Roundabout, shop winter boots), Bag: Emm Kuo 'Calle Bahia' (Roundabout), Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika' c/o Shopbop

This blazer remains one of my favorite pieces of clothing and I've owned it since 2006. Technically this one is newer because I had to buy the next size up in 2013. I still have the original one because I can't bear to part with it! I bought the first one for $80 and the second was only $20! So still only $100 for 2 Marc Jacobs blazers that retailed way above that.

Not the biggest fan of how these photos turned out. My jeans are a little bunchy by my boots and I should have tucked in my shirt....oh well. I still like the outfit overall! Been wanting to break out my Marc Jacobs polka dot blazer for a few weeks and finally did it even though we had nothing special planned for the day. We did our taxes, went to the park for photos and then headed to Home Depot to buy seeds before going to my parents for dinner.

P.S. Isn't it cook how these cut down bushes look like fire?!

Blazer: Marc by Marc Jacobs polka dot velvet jacket (eBay), V-Neck Tee: Everlane, Jeans: Current/Elliott (The Outnet), Boots: Eighteen 68 'Megan' (Gilt, shop knee-high boots), Leather Bag: Bought in Italy, Olive Branch Pearl Necklace: bought in Santorini (shop delicate necklaces)
