*UncommonGoods sent the necklace featured in this post. All opinions are my own*

Longtime readers will know that I love featuring companies that promote sustainability and support artists.  Today I'm sharing a piece from UncommonGoods. They carry such a wide selection of products that you're sure to find something you love. Most of the products they carry are created in the USA, and about one-third of the entire collection incorporates recycled and/or upcycled materials. Pieces range from dainty to rustic, so there's something for every style. Or, if you're like me, you'll want a bit of everything.

UncommonGoods supports a variety of non-profit organizations from City Harvest (which strives to end hunger in communities throughout New York City through food rescue, distribution, and education) to American Forests (which protects and restores forests worldwide.) With every purchase you make, UncommonGoods donates $1 to the non-profit of your choice. Since starting their Better to Give program 12 years ago, they’ve donated over $700,000 to charities around the world!

How amazing is this Hand Forged Slate and Bronze Necklace? It has a Greek god vibe to it, at least in my weird point of view. It was made in Vermont by mother-daughter design team Tulianna and Alejandra Garces. Finger-shaped stones are collected from the Vermont shoreline and refined into rustic beads. Then hammered-bronze accents are added to the stones for a hint of shimmer.

Blazer: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Sweater: Roundabout Resale, Jeans: J Brand 'high rise Maria' (Gilt), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Saks Fifth Avenue), Boots: Vince Camuto (Marshalls), Necklace c/o UncommonGoods

*I was gifted all the pieces featured in this post as well as a trip to NYC for the photoshoot. Thank you to Kohl's for this experience!*

As promised here's a quick behind the scenes look at my Star Wars photoshoot with Kohl's! I had such a fun day with Megan, Amiyrah and Lillian! I wish I took some more photos of the three of us having fun backstage, but we were a little too excited! Megan was kind enough to send over a bunch of her photos so I am sharing some of them as well.

By now all my regular readers know that I LOVE Harry Potter. What many of you may not know is that one of my first fandoms was Star Wars, back when I didn't even know what a fandom was.  When I was younger my brother, sister and I would watch the original trilogy on VHS all the time.  Then when my youngest brother started watching tv/movies he would watch one pretty much every day. Needless to say I can quote the movies with dialogue, music and sound effects without missing a beat.

When Kohl's asked me to be part of their Force of Fashion YES Moment, I had to accept! A day with fellow Star Wars fans styling outfits: what could be better than that?! The day was so much fun, especially when spent with girls who loved Star Wars as much as I did. The Kohl's team was amazing and so fun to work with. We had a long day of shooting and a video interview session talking about our love of the series.  Below are some of the official photos and the video, I'll share behind the scenes stuff separately since there are so many photos!

(Cheesy glow on lightsabers Photoshopped on by me, ha ha)

For my first outfit I dressed up an adorable R2D2 sweatshirt! R2 is one of my favorite characters (along with C3P0) so I HAD to pick this piece. With my second look I went a bit edgier with the leggings and vest. Normally I don't wear leggings as pants, but with the vest it covers up everything I want to hide.  The other girls also did an amazing job styling up the Star Wars collection. I think we've proved that you can be a fashionable geek, yes?! Kohl's was nice enough to let us take home the clothes we modeled, so I can't wait to wear all these pieces in the coming months.

If you want to follow the other lades, find them here: Megan, Amiyrah and Lillian!

P.S. Who else is SUPER excited for The Force Awakens (plus the new theme park at Disney!)

*Serendipity and Grace gifted the pieces featured in this post, but all opinions are my own.*

This Summer has been all about neutrals for me, it's strange that I have been wearing mostly navy all season long with bits of red and black thrown in.  I guess it's like the saying goes, if it's not broke, don't fix it!  On this particular day I left my house without any jewelry on, not even my usual rings, it was a crazy morning. Luckily for me, when I got to my parents house I had a package from Serendipity and Grace waiting for me with this fun bracelet and necklace! A fortunate stroke of serendipity, if you'll pardon the pun!

Tee: Everlane Shorts: Zara, Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (also here, here & here),   Bracelet c/o Serendipity and Grace, Necklace c/o Serendipity and Grace

Serendipity and Grace have also offered to give away a piece of their jewelry to one lucky winner in the United States! You'll be able to choose any piece you'd like from the S&G Jewelry collection. Use the widget below to enter!

By now everyone has heard of Groupon, the deal-of-the-day website that features discounted gift certificate. They recently started a new section, Groupon Coupons,  a collected and curated group of 55,000 coupons and promo codes from top stores.

When I shop I NEVER check out without searching for coupon codes so Groupon Coupons is a regular stop for me while I'm shopping.  You can search by store, my usual method, or by category to see where the best deals are. They also separate into three categories: Sales, In-Store Offers and Promo Codes to help you narrow down even further.

Let's say I want to get some new makeup at Sephora. I'll check out the Sephora coupon page at Groupon to see the current offers and narrow down to promo codes:

As I scrolled down I saw what I wanted: a Free Bareminerals Duo Sample With Kabuki Brush. I don't use foundation much, so this is a good way for me to try out a new product.
Next I added what I came for to my cart, add the coupon code and get my other free samples with my order! A great way to get more bang for your buck! Easy as pie!
* This post was made in collaboration with Lyst *

I am constantly window shopping and looking for pieces I would love to add to my closet. Lyst is a great way for me to organize those finds and keep an eye out for sales. From Isabel Marant to Saint Laurent, Lyst partners with over 12,000 brands so you're sure to find all your favorite designers and discover some new ones.

The more you use it, the better it understands what you like and what you don't so you never see brands you don't like and find more you will love. You can also follow people to see what they are adding to their Lysts, and they can follow you.

One of my favorite things about the site is when anything you've lysted goes on sale or comes back in stock anywhere you can be notified! That means you're made aware of sales of your favorite items even if it goes on sale at a store you've never heard of! Score!

In addition to an ever-green lyst of products that are new for you from all of the brands you love, there's also a dedicated editorial site - The LongLyst - that includes interviews with the fashion elite and those in the know as well as exploring the history of the world's most popular garments and an exploration of trends.

I've created my dream Wish Lyst for what I would love to add to my closet this Spring/Summer. I'm constantly adding more pieces, there's just so much to go through. I could look for days, weeks really...ha ha. Not good for a shopaholic, but I was never very good at resisting window shopping. View the full lyst here, and a teaser below. Apparently I'm very into prints and crop tops this year.
