A couple weekends ago, Lydia and I headed to the beach for our outfit pictures, it was a great day - but a little windy. Luckily it wasn't the perfect beach day so it wasn't super crowded, just the way I like it! I haven't worn this dress in quite some time, which is a shame because it's one of my favorites. I've had it for at least 7 years I would think...  My new bomber from Marshalls was the perfect coverup for when the temperature dipped. Once again, I had too many pictures I liked! I deleted about 60 and still had 50 to go through. So we're lucky I got down to 11 favorites, ha ha.

Dress: American Eagle (super old), Jacket: Cloth & Stone c/o Marshalls, Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Ikaria' (Forward),  Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Saks Friends & Family Sale), Necklace: Geoclassics, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports & Mom's

I wore this last weekend to head to one of my favorite stores, Mother Earth Gallery (it has autoplay music, beware).  I have a wide array of interests: fashion, Harry Potter and precious stones.  I don't know much about the latter, but I intend to do some studying on the subject to learn more about the stones and rocks I've collected through the years.  I have always been drawn to stones and gems, even when I was younger and the interest hasn't really faded. In fact, it has gotten worse. I spent faaaaaar too much money on the two pieces I bought on this trip, the same with our previous trip back in January.  I need to be very careful whenever I enter the store.

Sweater: Forever 21, Top: Ralph Lauren (Roundabout Resale), Jeans: Current/Elliott (The Outnet), Sandals: b.o.c. (Marshalls), Bag: Wink and Winn (giveaway), Necklace: Geoclassics, Bracelet: Crystal Vibrations Jewelry (use code BBarrow1002 for 10% off), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports & Mom's

Below are some photos of what we (my sister, her boyfriend and I) bought and a behind the scenes shot of me taking the photos.   I bought the green malachite and the egg shaped septarian; cool, aren't they?! (The last photo also shows House of Harlow necklaces I won from South Moon Under.)
Last Thursday I was able to go to the grand opening of Marshalls' newest store in New York City, located at 2182 Broadway.  The store is three glorious floors. The first is dedicated to handbags, the next floor has accessories and bath/body products and the bottom floor is full of clothes (men, women, children) and shoes! Tons of shoes! You have to check it out if you are ever in the area.

I met up with Megan of TF Diaries and we shopped; both our eyes were drawn to a pair of gorgeous Cole Haan sandals for $49.99 (retail $248.) Sadly they didn't have my size so I'm going to have to scour all the Marshalls in my area to find them! I did walk away with a pair of Rag & Bone Chambray Cuffed Boyfriend Shorts for $49.99 (retail $154) and Mula sandals for $34.99 (retail around $56) thanks to a gift card from Marshalls.

Here's what I wore! Since it was rainy that day I decided to wait to take my outfit photos.

Blazer: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Top c/o Oasis, Jeans: J Brand c/o Marshalls, Flats: Burberry Prorsum (net-a-porter end of season sale), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Necklace: Geoclassics, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports & Mom's

After the opening I took a walk through Central Park and went to one of Roundabout's New York locations. I tried on a GORGEOUS Jason Wu dress I've wanted since 2011 (see the proof in this post) but left it behind because it was still too pricy. I'll probably regret it later though, it was still new with tags and 75% off retail. Finally I met up with Laura who I've been blog friends with for over 3 years. She was visiting from London so it was perfect timing! We bought macarons at Laduree and then sat down for some coffee and hot chocolate. It's so fun when you finally meet someone you've been talking to for years, isn't it?

* Disclosure: I have received free products or value from Marshalls or The TJX Companies, Inc. in connection with my affiliation with Marshalls Project FAB.
Here is a closer look at one of my outfits from last week.  I wanted to pair this blazer with something other than jeans and while looking in my closet noticed the dress matched the orange polka dots on parts of the blazer.  Gotta love when thinks just happen to be a perfect pair.

Blazer: Etro (Roundabout Resale), Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Marshalls), Heels: Manolo Blahnik 'Catalina' (Roundabout), Necklace: Geoclassics, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake & Mom's

Guess what guys...I was able to go tight-less this week!!! It's a miracle!  On Tuesday I was brave and decided to forgo tights AND a coat.  My legs were mostly covered up by my boots while walking to work since I obviously didn't walk in heels. Let's cross our fingers that this weather is here to stay, although we are supposed to get rain again - yuck! I hope it's nice on Saturday in the least.

Monday: Blazer: The Extreme Collection (Second Time Around), Tee: Everlane, Jeans: Free People, Boots: vintage (eBay), Necklace c/o O Necklace, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's

Tuesday:  Blazer: Etro (Roundabout Resale), Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Marshalls), Heels: Manolo Blahnik (Roundabout Resale), Necklace: Geoclassics, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's

Thursday: Top: French Connection c/o Marshalls, Skirt: Made by Mom, Flats: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Necklace c/o Groopdealz, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's
In this look I'm wearing two things you don't normally see me in: tartan and a peplum.  For some reason (read: it's purple) I fell in love with this top last weekend at Lord & Taylor. I left it in the store since I'm doing the French Wardrobe challenge and my mom surprised me with it later in the week.  She got it for under $5 because it was on clearance, an extra 65% off AND she had a coupon, ha ha.  My mom is the queen of bargain shopping, it's how I learned to never pay full price. So even though I sometimes pay a lot for things, they're always on sale ;)

I'm also wearing my new skinny jeans, I think I finally succeeded in finding a replacement for my favorite Free People skinnies (their first appearance.) I loved them too much and the top section is now permanently wrinkled. They will remain in my closet because as long as I wear them with a long top they're perfectly acceptable (as seen here.) I tried so many other pairs but none were exactly what I wanted. I intended to give these a test run and order a second pair for when these inevitably get worn out, but my size already sold out.  Oh well, will just have to keep an eye out for them again.

Sweater: Abercrombie & Fitch (Coco's $5 sale), Top: J. Cooper (Lord & Taylor), Jeans: Current/Elliott (The Outnet), Boots: Cordani (Roundabout Resale), Bag: Etienne Aigner (thrifted, $2!), Necklace: Geoclassics, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's

I wore this on Saturday for a morning of shopping with my Mom. It was a nice Spring-like day, except for the huge gusts of wind. But I didn't need a coat, so I'm not complaining! One of our stops was DSW, and since I'm doing the French Wardrobe Challenge I couldn't buy anything. That didn't stop me from trying on a bunch of cool shoes though. In the end, I bought a pair of adorable Keds sneakers (teal), which are a basic so they don't count in my 5, woo! Hopefully they will be comfortable for my walks to work; plus, they were only $18.

Song of the Day: Dust in the Wind (Bernie Williams version; yes, the Yankee)

Cashmere Cape: b chyll (Roundabout Resale), Top: DKNY (from Lydia), Jeans: Free People (Gilt Groupe), Flats: Burberry Prorsum (Net-a-Porter sale), Bag: Etienne Aigner (thrifted, $2!), Necklace: Geoclassics, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's

I hadn't worn these flares in a while, because it's a bit of a hassle to stuff them into my boots to walk to work, so when I wore them last week I decided they should probably get a full outfit post too! Once again I'm in my uniform: tee, blazer, jeans and heels. But if it's not broke, don't fix it, right?

Song of the Day: Bell Bottom Blues by Eric Clapton

Blazer: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Tee: Everlane, Jeans: Free People (Marshalls), Heels: Proenza Schouler (Roundabout Resale), Necklace: Geoclassics, Bracelet: Crystal Vibrations Jewelry (use code BBarrow1002 for 10% off), Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage, Brilliant Imports snake ring & Mom's

Last year Sizers sent me a bunch of their shoe sizing inserts and I finally had the chance to use them! I bought a gorgeous pair of Proenza Schouler pumps that were too big for me, but at $55 I couldn't pass them up. Enter Sizers: I used the full size adjuster and they fit perfectly! Sizers are super easy to use, you just stick them into the toe part of your shoe to make the shoe fit from 1/4 - 1 full size.  They're only £10 (~$17) for a full set and £4 (~$7) for a single size AND free shipping worldwide. I definitely think it's worth it because you can remove them and use them for multiple shoes.

UPDATE: To answer a couple questions - They are foam-ish so they are soft and hard at the same time. They'll mold a bit to your foot and shoe as you walk so they are comfortable to wear all day.

* I was gifted the Sizers products but was not paid to post about them.
