I'm not really a huge Halloween person. Apart from the candy and the Halloween movies (non-scary ones) I don't partake in much. I haven't dressed up since college (where I was Hermione every year), but this year I'm going to dress up for work, although no one will really know I'm in costume.  You'll see it when I post it on Thursday! But I decided to have Halloween Week on the blog and post all things Halloween!

First up is some costume inspiration by way of The Cherry Blossom Girl and Miss Pandora. I loved their Disney villains shoot, it's so fun and definitely gets you in the Halloween spirit!

Be prepared for a photo overload today!

I wore this the same weekend as my birthday brunch when my family went to the pumpkin patch - a tradition of ours, though we hadn't all been in a couple years.  I went straight from my Aunt's house (I was there the night before for a massage and movie night) so I didn't have time to change into old boots, luckily my new ones made it through okay after I wiped them down.

I always love the pumpkin patch.  The place we go has beautiful views and tons of pumpkins to choose from.  In addition to my pumpkin I also bought a bunch of adorable gourds to put on the mantel above the fireplace!

Happy Halloween everyone!!! I hope you have a day full of candy, scary (or non-scary for me) movies and fun!  Sadly I will be at work and won't get home until 8 so I won't be able to have my usual movie marathon. I'll have to pick my absolute favorite one (probably Casper or Hocus Pocus)

And now I leave you with this bewitching photo of Emma Watson from the October 2008 issue of Harpers Bazaar.  She is wearing Alexander McQueen (who can also be seen in the window and crystal ball.
This past weekend my roommate and I headed to Jones Family Farm to get our pumpkins!  I have been going to Jones since I was REALLY little (some photos of me there are in my birthday post,) we also go there for our Christmas Tree.  This year it was a Wizard of Oz theme, which they've had a few times in the past, and is one of my favorites.

Sweater: Inis Crafts (Marshalls) gift, Jeans: Current/Elliott (Rue La La) $60, Boots: Vintage (eBay) $17, Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop) gift card

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! I promised to show you guys my costume, so here it is!! Sorry the pictures stink, I have just been so tired lately so I took them fast :/ (and my hair had un-waved by the time I took these (stupid pin-straight hair ;) )
AND, on Friday we carved our pumpkins!! Everyone was done in a half hour...except me...it took me TWO HOURS to carve my awesome Draco pumpkin. My hands were killing me... What do you think, cool huh? (click to make larger)
I was also a bad girl and bought a Marc Jacobs dress on eBay on Friday night...BUT it was only $27.60 (20.50 plus shipping), as opposed to over $200 normally.  After some research I found out it is called the Quintana. I have also realized that I am WAY too obsessed with this color, haha...oh well.  And now I am over budget again...good thing I returned some stuff last week or I would have been way over :p (the

AND the shoes I ordered from DSW a few weeks ago finally came!!! :D YAY for $15 flats :)

This was a very emotional week for me...Tuesday was SO exciting (think Potter) but then Wednesday one of the guys at work made me cry because of a decision I had made about the exciting news the day before.  I was SO embarrassed, I ran to the bathroom to cry and came back and was fine, but then he started bugging me about it again and I just started crying right there...he felt so bad  and it was just horrible. :/

My pants on Monday are sooo old, I mean middle school old, ha ha. Friday is my Halloween costume (we're having a little party at work today), but its not totally it since I took it yesterday instead of this morning.  My hair will be wavy and that's pretty much the only difference XD  If you can't tell I'm Hermione in Prisoner of Azkaban (photo). I promise (better) detail shots, comparisons and close-ups later ;)

P.S. The Potter thing was that I was invited to the London premiere for my HP site but I was terrified to go alone (I've never traveled alone and never been on a plane...so HELLO PANIC ATTACK) and my friend couldn't come because it was too expensive, so I made the REALLY hard decision to have someone else go on my behalf since I should still get to go to the NYC premiere for another site (oddly enough I wasn't invited to the NYC one for my site).  So my friend and I are going to spend a few days in the city for the premiere. So I told the guy at work I wasn't going and he kept bugging me and being like "you have to go, money is not an issue, its once in a lifetime" and he wouldn't stop even though I kept saying "i just can't, you don't understand."  And then when I started crying I couldn't stop and he was like "oh my god, I am so sorry, I didn't mean to upset you I'll stop now" and the rest of the day kept saying "I'm so sorry! are you mad at me"  So I said "No..I needed to have a good cry about not being able to go anyway" Needless to say: worst day of work EVER. THEN that night I got an email from Amazon saying he sent me a gift card that said "Hey, I hope you'll find something to cheer you up or use at the NYC premier." I feel so bad, I didn't mean to make him feel sorry for me, the tears just came out :/

[/end long rant]
Update: For the record the guy is REALLY nice and he was so sorry he made me cry, he just thought it would encourage me to face my fears and go...haha...obviously not ;)
