Designer collaborations are all the rage these days, everyone from H&M to Kohl's do collections with famous designers. We can thank Target for making it popular, they started the trend 20 years ago. I believe I used to have a pair of sandals from a collection they did with Isaac Mizrahi but they are long since destroyed from wear.

Last month Target announced they would be re-releasing some of their most popular brand collaboration pieces to celebrate 20 years of designer partnerships! I have bought quite a few pieces from the collections over the years and some remain favorites to this day! One of my absolute favorites is my floral Jason Wu dress that has been on the blog countless times. I also love my 3.1 Phillip Lim sweater and sweatshirt - they are re-releasing both of those! You can preview everything that will be available here and shop tomorrow!

Unfortunately since the collection is being released tomorrow, I will be flying to and enjoying my first night in Rome. Such a shame! But I guess it's stopping me from shopping! Speaking of - this will be my last post until October since I didn't want to have blog posts go up while I'm away. Follow me on Instagram to keep up with our travels through Italy and Greece and when we get back I'll share outfits and travel guides! YAY!

Another frequently worn Summer piece making an appearance this week. We had a SUPER warm day on Memorial Day weekend so I wore this to a family get together where I also got to meet my new nephew - my cousin's baby (yes I looked it up and I can call him that or first cousins once removed.) Last year I bought a second of this dress so I can wear that when this one disintegrates from too much wear.

Still looking for last minute gifts for the lady in your life who has everything? If she likes jewelry which, let's be honest, most women do, find her a beautiful pair of gold earrings. I was recently introduced to sustainable jewelry brand AUrate and sent this pair of gorgeous Sensu Ear Jackets in rose gold vermeil.  AUrate has everything you could want, from statement pieces to classic staples you'll wear for years to come. I have added quite a few other pieces to my wish list including this amazing Halo Diamond Opal Pendant. What pieces would you buy for a loved one?

What's great about AUrate is their mission is to offer sustainable, ethical handmade jewelry at affordable prices. The pieces are handmade by artisans in New York City, not a machine churning out hundreds a day. These earrings were $150 and would retail at most other stores for $390. This is because they cut out the middleman and sell directly to buyers without retail markups, much like Everlane, another favorite brand of mine.

The company only uses ethical solid gold from conflict-free suppliers in vermeil, 14K or 18K gold as well as white gold and rose gold. I had heard the phrase vermeil many times but never really knew what it meant. In essence, gold vermeil is a higher quality gold plated product. A base metal, usually sterling silver, is dipped into a coating of at least 10K gold to a thickness of 2.5 microns (one-millionth of a meter.) AUrate uses 14K gold to go the extra mile.

And, to make an even bigger difference AUrate donates a book to a student in need for every purchase made! So really it's like two gifts in one. Giving a beautifully made piece of jewelry to a loved one (or yourself) and the gift of learning to a student.

Enough about the companies awesomeness, on to the outfit! I styled the earrings for a holiday event but they would also work well with a simple outfit of jeans and a sweater.  Also - you can wear these with any studs you want! I'll probably try them with some pearl studs or my usual diamond studs in the future for some extra pizazz.

People always ask how I can go to Disney so many times and not get bored. The answer is - it's always changing! There are new festivals, new rides and in the case of this trip, whole new sections of the park! My friend and I were super excited about Toy Story Land being open! We had to go 2 separate days to be able to ride both new rides with Fast Passes so we wouldn't have to wait in lines.

(Helpful Note: You can't get a Fast Pass for more than 1 Toy Story ride in your first set of 3 and the Toy Story rides also fill up WAY in advance. Luckily we stayed at a hotel so we could book them 60 days in advance which really helped.)

Yes, I know I'm wearing a Star Wars tee, but to be fair Star Wars was our other major reason for going to Hollywood Studios. We always have to visit our friend BB-8, get The Dark Side Chicken and Waffles at Backlot Express. and ride Star Tours (plus I didn't have any Toy Story stuff yet....I did buy a super cute kid's sweatshirt on our second trip to Toy Story Land.) This also looks like it would be very hot but the fabric is very thin so it was very comfortable even though the temperatures were pushing 90.

Star Wars Empire Strikes Back Shirt c/o Kohl's, Shorts: Banana Republic (Clinton Crossing), Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika', Eyeglasses chain: Tinksky (Amazon), Bag: Dooney & Bourke 2017 Sorcerer Mickey Disney Shopper Tote (eBay), Sandals: Sam Edelman 'Ginnie' c/o ThredUp

P.S. If you go this month make sure to get the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Coffin Cake at the ABC Commissary. Soooooo delicious!

And here we go with a TON of Toy Story Land photos! We had beautiful cloudy days which really helped with the Toy Story vibe. Gotta love the nod to Andy's bedroom wallpaper. Skip this part if you're planning on visiting the park and don't want to be spoiled. (I tried to avoid all photos and videos before I went)

The only problem with Toy Story Land is there is NO shade and it gets SUPER hot. We couldn't stay in that section of the park for long when the sun was out because we were getting baked. Luckily it was much better at night. So if you're planning on visiting in the warmer months bring a wet towel for around your neck or get one of those portable fans. You'll need it.
