A quick post for a look I wore to my Grandma's last weekend. I've worn this shirt a few times this year but hadn't taken outfit photos in it yet. Whoops! I seem to be doing that a lot lately this year.  OH well, at least it's not something new. It's been in my closet for about 5 years now, I think. I got it for $10 in a special sale at Coco's on the Green when one of their locations was closing.

My Dad took these for me super quick and I didn't check them because he usually takes perfect pictures. (He was my photographer before the fiancé came along.) I didn't want to re-shoot by the time I realized they were blurry, so enjoy my laziness...WHOOPS

This is my final look from our Rhode Island vacation over the 4th of July! Since we were at the beach I brought mostly blue pieces. This blue floral dress has always been one of my favorites. I remember I saw it at American Eagle and really wanted it so I saved up and then bought it when it went on sale. It's so funny to me that American Eagle used to be my splurge store. My how times have changed!

Sometimes all it takes to make an outfit go from frumpy to cool is to tie it up. When I first had this outfit on, I didn't have the shirt tucked in so it looked a little wonky. I didn't want it tucked so I decided to tie it and show some skin. So scandalous!

Sometimes you just need to wear a printed shirt like a jacket to make an outfit. Remove this one piece and I'm just wearing a tank top and shorts. It's not groundbreaking, but it adds a bit of variety.

Top: thrifted (Good Will), Tank: Forever 21, Shorts: Rag & Bone c/o Marshalls, Sandals: Malu c/o Marshalls, Necklace c/o Serendipity and Grace

Universal put us up at their brand new Cabana Bay Beach Resort during our time at the theme parks.  The hotel is brand new and has a really fun old-timey theme, hence the old cars parked outside the lobby!  The hotel is really fun, they play old cartoons in the diner inside the hotel and they have a bunch of pools and a lazy river! Sadly I didn't have time to go in the pool because we were so busy. BUT on Thursday night there was a Grand Opening party for special guests and we got to see THE BEACH BOYS!!! Can you say amazing?!  Universal certainly knows how to make sure you have a good time! I wore this outfit for our VIP tour of the Universal parks.

(for those that are wondering I was covering the event for my Harry Potter and Matthew Lewis fan sites.)
