Decided to go with a bit of green in today's throwback since it's Christmas this weekend! This is the second to last outfit I wore to work in NYC. The company I was working for at the time finally allowed me to start working from home every day after this. Woohoo! Ha ha. I switched this up a TEEEEENY bit by tucking in the sweater to show off the high-waist of the skirt.

Sweater: Kenar c/o Marshalls, Skirt: Chanel (Roundabout Resale), Shoes: MICHAEL Michael Kors (DSW), Necklace: Acanthus Jewelry (giveaway)

The return of my favorite Marc Jacobs jacket! This was my first ever designer purchase and I owe it all to Emma Watson. I've told the story here many times but basically: I saw her wearing it in an issue of Teen Vogue (in gray) in 2005 and had to have it so I searched for it on eBay for months until I found it. This is actually my second one because I grew out of the first one.

Jacket: Marc by Marc Jacobs (eBay), Tee: Everlane, Jeans: Free People (Marshalls), Pumps: Coach 'Nacie' (Marshalls), Watch: Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor),

Same jeans, different pair. I loved these jeans so much that I had to track down extra pairs after the first started getting over worn. A little over a year ago I found one exact match and then another very similar pair. If only I had known when I first bought them, should have got 5 pairs! These leopard sandals by Miu Miu are also very loved and celebrating their 5th anniversary next month. This was actually their second ever outfit (the first was for Thanksgiving that year)

Jacket: Ralph Lauren (Marshalls), Tee: Simple Retro, Jeans: Free People (Gilt), Leopard Sandals: Miu Miu (eBay) Watch: Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor), Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Baby Aidan' (Shopbop)

I wore this to my oldest friend's wedding this past weekend. I only knew a handful of people at the wedding but still had a great time. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was held next to a river. Such a lovely evening! Funnily enough, I wore this same dress to my cousin's wedding 4 years and 2 days before this wedding. Yay for re-wearing pieces!

I bought the dress in Net-a-Porter's End of Season sale. This year's sale is still going on, so grab something while you can! Use code SALE20 for an extra 20% off Sale Must Haves! I finally broke down and ordered the Lanvin sandals I featured back in February, they should arrive in a day or two!

Dress: Burberry London (Net-a-Porter End of Season Sale), Sandals: Michael Michael Kors (DSW), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Net-a-Porter)

Another look that has been in constant rotation over the years (with different shoes.) This is the perfect Summer sweater because it's so light. It is great for when there is a slight chill in the air or if you go to the frozen section of the grocery store. If only I had known when I bought it 5+ years ago, I would have gotten more colors! And the dress is one of my absolute favorites, gotta love Marc Jacobs!

Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs, Sweater: American Eagle, Sandals: Michael Kors (DSW), Necklace c/o Marrin Costello, Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika' (Ditto)

Another rainy day where I didn't want to get dressed. So what did I do? I put on a bright-ish sweater and cute rain boots to face the day!

Sweater: Anthropologie, Jeans: Michael Kors, Rain Boots c/o Joules

The only pieces in this week's throwback outfit that are the same are my accessories. I graduated on to better jeans and wore the top into the ground.  The top in today's post is sadly on it's way out as well, but for different reasons. I bought it the same day I bought my, very beloved, pink leopard button up at an Equipment & Current/Elliott sample sale but it has only been worn 3 times, if that. I need to sell it but I can just never bring myself to do it. Anyone want to take it off my hands? ;)

Top: Equipment, Jeans: Frame 'Le Skinny de Jeanne' (Shopbop), Necklace: Vanessa Mooney, Sandals: Michael Kors (DSW), Watch: Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop)

The Original: Jeans: American Eagle, Top: Express
This wall at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk was just asking to be the backdrop for some outfit photos! We took a super quick walk on the boardwalk after having lunch at Havanas, so delicious!  After that I had to do some work in my uncle's van while everyone else did some shopping! Thank goodness for my iPhone's mobile hotspot so I could work on the go!

Sweater: Max Studio, Top: Michael Kors (Lord & Taylor), Jeans: J Brand 'high rise Maria' (Gilt), Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Athanasia' (Moda Operandi), Bag: Emm Kuo (Roundabout Resale), Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika' (Ditto)

Same jeans two Throwback Thursdays in a row! But I had to wear this now because it's been almost exactly 4 years since it's original appearance! Amazing how time flies! This outfit is complete except the shoes. I finally got rid of them over the Summer because I stopped wearing them even though they were super fun.

Blazer: The Extreme Collection (Second Time Around), Turtleneck Sweater: Willi Smith (TJ Maxx), Jeans: Free People (Marshalls), Boots: Chloe (Roundabout Resale), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Watch: Michael Kors

Sadly this is not a full throwback outfit! I had to replace the blazer with a new sweater. I gave the blazer to a friend because I hardly ever wore it and had the exact same one in gray that I liked more. I also don't have the shoes anymore (that's what Forever 21 and Miu Miu knock offs will get you.)

Sweater: Banana Republic c/o Westfield Trumbull, Top: Michael Kors, Jeans: Free People (Marshalls), Boots: Chloe (Roundabout Resale), Watch: Michael Kors, Purse: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop)

Original: Blazer: Necessary Objects via RueLaLa, Heels: Forever 21
Slightly warmer weather is the perfect opportunity to wear thin layers, like this pretty Tahari sweater. It is super thin and super soft but once we hit the super cold temperatures I find myself wearing it less and less in favor of my chunkier knits. I wore this to hang out at my Grandmother's house over the weekend.

Cardigan: Tahari (TJ Maxx) , Tee: Cullen (Rue La La), Jeans: Michael Kors (Marshalls), Flats: Diane von Furstenberg (Marshalls)
