One of my favorite movies is Clueless starring Alicia Silverstone. What many people don't know is that it is a modern interpretation of the novel Emma by Jane Austen, which was also made into a film starring Gwyneth Paltrow (among other versions).  One of the things I love about the film is the fashion, Cher wears so many crazy outfits but a lot of them can still be worn now and will look current.

I decided to do a Dress for Less based on my favorite outfit of hers, the maroon dress. It was hard to find a good shot so you'll have to settle for these bad ones. I wish I could find heels the same color as the dress, but these were the perfect shape to match hers. These never come out as good as I imagine them in my head since its always impossible to find exactly what you're looking for. Hopefully it's not too horrible.

Sleeveless Dress - Tibi from The Outnet $108

P.S. Did you know that Calvin Klein did a remake of the white dress she wore? Buy it HERE for only $916 ;) (haha...no thanks)

Here's the post that goes with my must have music: must watch movies!!!!  These are the Christmas movies we (my family) watch every single year.  The schedule for the last 4 movies is always the same, our favorite classics.  Starting on December 19th we watch one each day in this order:  It's a Wonderful Life, Holiday Inn, White Christmas and Scrooge.  Click the DVD covers to read more and buy them! :D

The Classics - Rudolph and Santa Claus is Coming to Town are my favorite old Christmas Classics.  And who can forget the Peanut's Christmas?!
Rudolph the Red-Nosed ReindeerSanta Claus Is Coming to TownA Charlie Brown Christmas
The Santa Clause - These movies are a new-ish classic for Christmas movies, they may be new but they definitely capture the spirit of Christmas and are perfect for young kids.  The first isn't new since its been 16 years, but 2 and 3 are newer.  The third isn't as good as the first two, but its not bad.
The Santa Clause (Widescreen Special Edition)Santa Clause 2 (Widescreen Edition)The Santa Clause 3 - The Escape Clause
Home Alone - Another set of classics, these movies are SO funny, I could watch them every day.  But only the first 2, all the rest stink because they changed the characters and everything. I can't believe it's been 20 years since the first one came out, it makes me feel so old!

The Grinch - The Grinch is another classic, I love the cartoon and Jim Carey versions.  A lot of people don't like the Jim version but I find it so funny...haha
How the Grinch Stole ChristmasDr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Widescreen Edition)
Ernest Saves Christmas - This movie is sooo funny (I've been saying that a lot in this post...). Ernest is always getting into trouble and this movie is no different, but as usual he finds a way to save the day.

Bonus: The Twelve Days of Christmas - Here is one movie that we used to watch at my grandma's house that no one really knows about, it is so funny, I haven't seen it in years though because my Grandma got rid of the VHS (I should just buy the DVD)

Last night I was watching Return to Halloweentown and was reminded how much I loved Marni's outfits in the film.  She wears some great casual outfits that I would totally wear (even if some are a bit out of style now).  Sara Paxton, the actress who plays her, was also in the series The Beautiful Life (about models) which was sadly canceled).  She has great style of her own too.  Anywayyyy, here are my favorite looks from the film, the first is my absolute favorite (purple...duh!):

I was watching Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella over the weekend (great movie! I still remember the night I watched it when it premiered on abc in 1997) so I decided to do an inspiration post with their crazily bright patterned outfits! If you haven't seen it, buy it and watch it!
Sadly there aren't many photos online and I didn't have time to take screencaptures of my dvd, haha.
