This week started off nice and easy but yesterday some garbage happened at work and I had to stay late...so annoying! Oh wells...that's what happens in the real world. I wore a lot of red this week, so funny how that happens, do you ever end up wearing the same color scheme for a few days.  So far I have no plans for the weekend apart from going to my Grandma's on Sunday for our weekly lazy day.  I might go see Beauty and the Beast in 3D with my mom and sister but we haven't decided yet.

And my roommate has people coming over tomorrow (including my other best friend) so that should be interesting...something crazy always happens when she goes out. I've been woken up at 2am plenty of times to her jumping on me saying she loves me, ha ha...gotta love drunk people. I personally don't drink, but that's mostly because I hate the feeling of alcohol...it burns, ha ha.

Why do I always seem to pick the days where it is FREEZING cold outside.  I'm not totally in love with this outfit, it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it, but I decided to post them anyway so me freezing my butt off wasn't wasted.

The shoes I wore were a little tall for these pants since I've grown quite a bit since I first bought them so that bugs me a bit...but I enjoy the general look I was going for.  I also decided to accessorize a lot more than usual with a snake necklace, turtle ring and some smaller rings I inherited from my mother/grandmother (I can't remember whose they were now...) One is a spoon ring, does anyone else have one of these babies? I LOVE them, they're made from old spoons and you can resize them easily.  Its cool to think that my ring could potentially be from the early 1900s, sadly I don't know exactly what year it's from.

And here is a blooper shot from when I was trying to get a shot of my rings, but I like it anyway.

Aaaand here is where I sit every morning before work. I get up at 7am and comment on blogs until I'm ready to get dressed or take outfit pictures. Then I leave for work at 8:20, so I pretty much spend an hour doing blogging stuff instead of sleeping in. See what I do for you guys? :p
This was a pretty boring week as usual. The highlight was my crazy hair on Monday that deflated by Tuesday (I wash my hair every other day)  I was also invited to The Woman in Black World Premiere on the 24th (as press for my Harry Potter site since Dan Radcliffe is in it) but sadly it's in London so I got a correspondent. [I'm saving my next London vacation for if/when WB invites me to the opening of the Harry Potter Studio Tour in March]

In other news, I think I need glasses. My eyes have been getting progressively worse these past few months meaning a lot more squinting and blurry vision. They were killing me this week, I went to bed at 8:15 on Wednesday because of it...NOT GOOD! But if I do end up needing them I may have to splurge on these awesome Chanel glasses (or these,) except I have no idea what they cost...hopefully not $600, ha ha.

I think I need to work out a purse system. Perhaps every week I'll switch between my Mulberry and Marc by Marc Jacobs purse. Then weekends are for my Ralph Lauren purse...it's so easy to switch shoes but purses require more work, ha ha. And I am kinda in love with my outfit on Wednesday, it's basic but I think I look pretty darn foxy! ;)

This outfit reminds me, very distantly, of a schoolgirl outfit. Tights, knitted sweater, blazer, pleated-ish skirt, messenger bag and mary jane heels.  Just switch the blazer for a cardigan, the heels for flats and add a pattern to my skirt and I could be going to catholic school ;) [What? I did say distantly...]  Anyway, this is my hair after sleeping in the crazy curls over night. I think I prefer them on day two, I looked too much like a poodle on the first day.

Ignore the awkward position of my head in the first shot...the other long shots came out like poo...this was the best one. In other news, I desperately need this Marc Jacobs jacket in the next size up, I get so annoyed whenever I wear it because it doesn't fit perfectly! And that is depressing because it is my favorite blazer.

Top: ? (TJ Maxx) $10, Blazer: Marc by Marc Jacobs (eBay), Skirt: Old Navy hand-me-down, Heels: Forever 21 $25, Watch: Michael Kors, Purse:  Mulberry won from The Flower Girl, Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs shopbop gift card, Nail Polish: Chanel Vamp and Chanel Péridot

The first week of the new year is over, it wasn't too horrible. We had Monday off, which was good, I only left the house for about an hour and a half to get groceries and a Duchess hotdog (long dog with ketchup and bacon) for lunch, but I took a photo anyway. If you are ever on the East Coast and see a Duchess make sure to go there for a hot dog...they are DELICIOUS! The rest of the week was full of work and watching movies and Gilmore Girls.

I wore my other new sweaters this week (Monday and Tuesday), the second one is a tank top which is nice because it won't add extra bulk. I had been looking for a white (or any color) fisherman knit sweater and finally found it at TJ Maxx. Funnily enough, it was made in Ireland and came with a fun tag with information on each of the stitches.  And the weird thing is, I used to HATE turtlenecks (I feel like they're choking me) but I have been obsessed with them lately!!! Funny how things change as you get older, right?

A quick post today to share my newest piece! It is a gorgeous Mulberry scotchgrain handbag I won from Becky May aka The Flower Girl! I never thought I would own a Mulberry bag, and now I do! YAY! It arrived in the mail yesterday so I stopped back home (my parents house) to pick it up.  It's the perfect size, so it will definitely be rotated with my new Ralph Lauren purse on the weekends.
[Update: Yes, I am wearing Chanel Péridot...Christmas gift from my roommate]

Yes...more Fall 2011 collections, haha.  Today we have Matthew Williamson and Mulberry. First up is Matthew Williamson, I am in love with the different prints, colors and textures used. Click for full sized photos.
Next is the Mulberry collection!  I love this collection because it is really cool (such poor word choice, but I couldn't think of a better one) but also very wearable (for the most part).
