I wore this outfit to the Roger Williams Zoo last month but it was too people-y to take pictures without feeling dumb so I re-wore it the next weekend to take some! I figured I would go with the animal theme since we were going to the zoo so I picked my fun safari print tee by Madewell and paired it with custom Nike's made from leopard print pony-hair. I know, it was weird to make sneakers in a material I couldn't actually use for hiking or working out - but I don't generally do those activities so why not go wild! I've had these for seven years now, wowza!

Tee: Madewell Safari Print Linen

Sweater: Banana Republic Italian Cashmere-Blend Boyfriend Cardigan c/o Westfield Trumbull

Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne' (Shopbop)

Bag c/o Orox Leather Co Merces Petite (not photographed, whoops!)

Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika' c/o Shopbop

If you missed my Instagram posts from the zoo you can see them below!

Worn this past weekend for some antique shopping, a trip to IKEA and then lunch at Texas Roadhouse followed by Sonic for deep fried Oreos. There was a lot of walking through aisles, good thing because we needed to work off all the food we ate! I had a coupon for a free appetizer at Texas Roadhouse, we were seduced by a cactus blossom! (aka bloomin' onion) So we made this our pseudo Valentine's date, even though my parents joined us, since we don't really care to celebrate.  I wore pink for the occasion.

Velvet Blazer: Gap, Striped Sweater: Banana Republic,  Jeans: J Brand 'Mid Rise Photo Ready Super Skinny Jean' (Gilt), Sneakers c/o NikeiD, Merces Petite Bag c/o Orox Leather Co.

I wore this last weekend to go out to lunch with my two best friends. I haven't worn sneakers in a while so decided to throw them on with this basic look. I still feel odd when I wear sneakers, not sure why, but at least these make a statement with their leopard print in calf hair. Not a practical sneaker, but they sure are fun!

And, as you can see, we got a nice snowstorm last week and another supposedly coming today. Lots of downed branches all over town from the weight of the snow and the wind. Crazy!

Sweater: Calvin Klein, Tee: Everlane, Jeans: J Brand 'Mid Rise Photo Ready Super Skinny Jean' (Gilt), Sneakers: Nike iD c/o, Bag: Dark Purple Chloé Faye (eBay), Sunglasses: Chanel, Glasses chain: Tinksky (Amazon), Necklace: House of Harlow 1960 'Five Station Blackened Arrowhead'

Hello pre-snow front yard. I wore this two weekends ago to do some shopping with my Mom. We went to a jewelry store, Home Goods, Marshalls, Jo Ann Fabrics and the dollar store and guess what? I didn't spend a dime! So proud of myself, ha ha. I've been very well behaved so far this motnh and have only bought gas and groceries! GO ME!

Cardigan: Calvin Klein, Tee: Everlane, Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne' (Shopbop), Sneakers: Nike Air Max 90 Premium iD (c/o), Necklace: Madewell

Layla wanted to get in on the action for today's post.  While I don't actually take her on walks (that's my cousins' job) this would be a perfect outfit to wear while doing so. Statement sneakers plus jeans and a light sweater, great for the days when you don't know what to wear.  Unique shoes are my thing so I was so excited to get these custom Nike's (first seen here.) Many of you know that I'm not usually a sneaker kind of girl, but make them in a fun print out of pony hair and I'm sold!

Sweater: French Connection (Marshalls), Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne Jeans' (Shopbop), Shoes: Nike Air Max 90 Premium iD (c/o), Necklace: bought in Santorini

Another pretty good month, especially seeing as I usually go a little crazy buying birthday gifts for myself. I only bought one thing this month, and I used birthday money from my parents, so yay! I also got a lovely sweater as a gift from Lydia and two other (free) sweaters from an event I went to at Foxwoods. The custom NikeID's I was able to make at RewardStyle's NYFW party also arrived this month!

Who wouldn't love a pair of custom sneakers?! I'm not a runner or exercise nut by any means, but when Nike was at the RewardStyle party letting us customize our own shoes I was super excited! I decide to go for a more "fashionable" style with my shoes since they are mostly for show. Although they'll come in nice and handy for walking around New York City!  These are made of spotted pony hair with purple accents.

For their first look I wore them with a brown sweater, but the great thing about the print I chose is I can wear them with black too! Next time I'll probably wear them with something a little more fitted, not sure they look great with the super loose sweater, too casual.

Sweater: August Silk (Marshalls), Jeans: Free People (eBay), Shoes: Nike Air Max 90 Premium iD (c/o), Necklace: SPARKLEFARM (etsy)

It is becoming a tradition for Lydia and I to head to NYC for the RewardStyle New York Fashion Week party. It's always a good time meeting old and new blog friends with a great view of the city. With the change of location for NYFW, the venue for the party changed as well. Instead of The Empire Hotel it was at the Hotel Americano.  I got to see a bunch of old blogger friends (even if it was just a quick hello - the party was super busy!) and met some new ones as well.

Nike was there to help us create our very own NIKEiD shoes! I can't wait for mine to arrive. It takes about a month, but they're custom made to your specifications so totally worth it! I got mine with spotted pony hair and purple accents!

I attempted the curl my hair for the day, but it didn't go so well. I just can't seem to work a curling wand (or curling iron...or any hair tool.)

Notice my little nod to Star Wars in this outfit, I couldn't resist wearing the cute lapel pin Kohl's gave me during my photoshoot last week! Hopefully I'll have the official photos from the shoot to share soon as well as a video!

Dress: Jason Wu (Roundabout Resale), Heels: Dolce & Gabbana (Uptown Consignment), Bag c/o Brahmin (similar), Sunglasses: Chanel (bought in Greece), Stormtrooper Pin c/o Kohl's

And some party photos:
