I mentioned last week that I had an awesome outfit planned for a new skirt and this is it! When I was looking through my closet to see what would go with this skirt (a bunch of things) this jumped out at me as what I wanted to try first! A bit risky going with two snakeskin pieces but I think the fact that they are different colors makes it work. What say you?! (I said that like Aragorn in Lord of the Rings for those of you who can hear it in your heads...no one? Oh well, I'm just crazy)

For some reason the Beatles song in my title ALWAYS gets stuck in my head. I find myself singing it in my head while I walk to the train.  That happens with a few songs, but this one is my mind's favorite...very odd. I was humming it while taking these photos so it's only fitting that it be the post's title.

I took these photos on Friday but I am wearing it today to work! Woohoo :)

Sweater: T Babaton c/o Aritzia and Lucky, Skirt: Vince Camuto (Lord & Taylor) $35,  Heels: No.704b (DSW) $20, Belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction (Marshalls) $7, Sunglasses: Michael Kors (TJ Maxx) $20, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop)

This Saturday my roommate and I went to our favorite restaurant, The Chowder Pot, for lunch. SO GOOD! We are obsessed with the honey butter bread. It was a very nice day weather-wise, so I was actually able to be somewhat stylish with my blazer and booties. In other news, last week I got my Parsons course booklet because I've been thinking of taking some online courses in fashion! Now I need to decide if I should do non-credit or credit, credit is 3 times the price so I'm leaning toward non-credit because I'm not made of money. ;)

One of the good things about not having to actually go into an office anymore is that I can make use of my smaller purses (I only have three.) I'm sure you've noticed I've been using my little Marc by Marc Jacobs purse more often. Arnold, my big Marc by Marc Jacobs purse, is getting a rest after being used almost every day for a year.

Blazer: Jones New York $40, Tank: Hollister $6, Shorts: Zara, Booties: No.704b. (DSW) $20, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (net-a-porter) gift card, Bracelets c/o 31 Bits, Watch: Michael Kors

Today's post is all about the Grand Opening Celebration for Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter!  It was held on Saturday March 31st and it didn't start until 3 but we had to arrive before 12:30 to check in.  We got there at 12 and had to hang around in the FREEZING cold waiting for it to begin.  This was the only cold day of our trip though, so we couldn't really complain.  BUT I can complain about some of the other annoying fan site people who were there to report on the event, we have a VERY finite space on the carpet (about a sheet of letter-sized paper) and some were taking up more than their allotted space...very annoying. So we were quite squished (see the photo below).
Outfit: Dress: Edun via The Outnet $100 (with gift card), Blazer: The Extreme Collection (Second Time Around) $50, Booties: No.704b. (DSW) $20, Bracelets c/o 31 Bits, Rings: old & c/o OASAP, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs

You can see all the photos from the red carpet at Magical-Menagerie! Enjoy!  I should also have a video up soon on Magical-Menagerie...just waiting for the video files to be sent. UPDATE: Here is the video (I am not the one asking questions, I was taking photos...but I thought of most of the questions ;) )

Tom Felton, Warwick Davis, Evanna Lynch, Harry Melling, David Yates, Alfonso Cuaron, David Heyman, Rupert Grint
How awesome does Harry Melling look!? He played Dudley, aka Harry's fat cousin, and looks soooo great! He loved my question too! We asked what it was like moving from playing a muggle in Harry Potter to a wizard in the last series of Merlin!

Also, I had a tiny panic attack when Eddie Redmayne walked by...I LOVE HIM!  If you can't tell by the photo he is a Burberry model and an actor (he was in My Week with Marylin) ;)
After the red carpet my 2 friends and I headed to Pizza Express with two other girls who were reporting on the red carpet.  I had been told Pizza Express has amazing dough balls, and it was SO true! They are DELISH!!!! They are basically balls of pizza dough that you dip in garlic butter (or nutella if you get the dessert version)

Good morning, ladies (and gents?), I have returned after what seems like a year (even though I've only been away from the blog for a week!)  My trip was amazing, I spent half of it at the Harry Potter Studio Tour and the other half running around London. In my next few posts I will take you all along with me and TRY not to kill you with photos!  But if you guys want to see more I can post pictures on Facebook, so if you want everything comment and let me know! I'll do it if enough people want it. Click all the photos to enlarge!
As most of you know the main purpose of my trip was for the Harry Potter Tour, I was invited by Warner Bros. to report on the Grand Opening for my site, Magical-Menagerie. So there were a bunch of press things to attend such as a press conference on Thursday, a private tour and of course the red carpet! We got to see the tour before it opened to the general public, which was amazing. Especially because we were basically the only ones in there, no huge crowds! I am a fan of that.
We arrived Thursday morning at 11am and RUSHED to our hotel to check in and then darted off to Leavesden Studios for 1pm, sadly we were 20 minutes late and thought we would miss our group tour...and we were. BUT Warner Bros. is awesome and they let us go in alone, so we pretty much had the whole tour to ourselves. Stupidly I didn't take photos that day (but I took them later, don't worry!)  One of the girls missed her flight so she wasn't with us, so instead of doing more sightseeing after the tour and press conference (and some shopping in the Gift shop) we headed back to the hotel to rest.
Left to Right: Moderator, David Barron (Producer), David Yates (Director), David Heyman (Producer), Rupert Grint (Ron), Tom Felton (Draco), Evanna Lynch (Luna), Warwick Davis (Griphook, Professor Flitwick, Choir Director), WB/Leavesden Executives
Friday we had to go all the way back to Heathrow to pick up our phone and while we were there we got an email from WB saying our friend who missed the Thursday tour could see it on Friday if we made it by 12:50 (it was 11:20 when we saw that). So we paid NINETY POUNDS for a cab to the tour and made it in record time! They let me go in again as well so I made sure to take a TON of photos. I will be writing up a review on my Harry Potter site so be sure to check there for it, I just need to catch up on everything before that.
After the tour we headed to Bake-a-Boo to have tea (and subsequently went insane and were laughing our heads off because I was being a psycho...photo evidence below). Next it was off to the obligatory Abbey Road, which unfortunately was under construction, but we managed to get some photos anyway!

And here are the details for my outfits:

Day 1 - Blazer: The Extreme Collection (Second Time Around) $50, Top: Marshall's $12, Jeans: Free People (Gilt Groupe) gift card, Booties: No.704b. (DSW) $20, Bracelets c/o 31 Bits, Rings: old & c/o OASAP, Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop) gift card, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Day 2 - Tee: Michael Kors (Marshall's) $20, Jeans: Guess $15, Flats: Missoni for Target $30, Sweater: Forever 21 $11, Bracelets c/o 31 Bits, Rings: old & c/o OASAP, Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop) gift card, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs

And so ends days 1 and 2...3, 4 and 5 to come!
