Happy New Years Eve!!!!  I hope you all have wonderful plans tonight, normally I spend it with my family and/or have a Disney movie marathon.  My life is quite exciting (*sarcasm*), but I really do enjoy just being lazy.  I prefer it to being out and about with tons of people around.

However, this year, And Other Brands let me borrow this gorgeous dress by Oasis for the holiday so I think I may have to go out to let it have a night on the town.  Unfortunately it isn't available on the site anymore but they have tons of other great dresses. (yes, I would be crazy to go tightless, but really, you could run from the car to the house and be fine)

Dress: Oasis borrowed ($160), Jacket: old, Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Consignments) $82, Watch c/o Caravelle by Bulova, Perfume: Marc Jacobs Dot, Lipstick: M·A·C 'Marilyn Monroe'

Song of the Day - Same Old Lang Syne by Dan Fogelberg

Sometimes there are too many good photos to share in one outfit post, especially when your photographer is as awesome as Lydia. Sooo, today I'm sharing some bloopers and other shots from our photoshoot for AndOtherBrands.

Enjoy! :p

Today I am delighted to introduce you to a new-ish website, AndOtherBrands.com!  It is an e-commerce platform that sells clothing from three British brands, two of which I will be discussing this week! I'm sure many of you are already fans of them, but for those of you who aren't they are Warehouse and Oasis.  I was already a fan of Oasis (I have a dress that I wear for more formal occasions) and had not heard about Warehouse, but I love it now as well!  Each brand has its own unique aesthetic & attitude and they're both a wonderful resource for on-trend, clothing and accessories. Now, with AndOtherBrands, it's easy for those of us not in the UK to get our hands on these brands!

I was sent over a couple pieces from both brands to style for the blog, the only bad thing about this is I had to send them back! But I had such a fun time putting together looks.  First up is a Heritage Flare Skirt from Oasis, I am a bit obsessed with the sixties silhouette!  Too bad the website is sold out of my size or I'd have to get one.  I think this outfit is perfect for a holiday party, don't you agree?

Thanks to the lovely Lydia for helping me out with the photos, she always makes me look so good!

Make sure to check out AndOtherBrands for more amazing pieces!

Skirt: Oasis borrowed $115, Tee: abercrombie kids $10 (old), Blazer: thrifted $35, Sunglasses: Michael Kors (Marshalls) $20, Necklace: Francesca's $22, Heels: Lanvin (Roundabout Consignments) $80

*I was sent these samples for the purposes of this post, but my opinions are my own.
As I mentioned yesterday, I went on a blogger date with Lydia and Amber on Saturday night in West Hartford! We headed to the Elbow Room, a fun restaurant with a rooftop bar, for dinner. Lydia and I arrived just in time for our reservation (there was traffic) but we ended up having another half hour wait to get a spot on the roof.

That happened to be just enough time for us to take some outfit photos across the street. We laughed, tried to walk while using the camera timer and had people stare at us like we were crazy. All in all, quite a good time. It's so much more fun taking outfit pictures with other people.

At the restaurant I had some mini burgers and a coke while the other girls were normal and got something alcoholic. After we had dinner we decided we wanted dessert so we went on a mission to find Barcelona, a tapas restaurant, and it turns out it was gone. We ended up at Restaurant Bricco where I had really delicious gelato! Totally worth the crazy $6 price...

Without further ado, the results of our picture taking adventure. For more photos of Amber and Lydia, see their blogs!
