Last week we took advantage of the beautiful sunset for these outfit photos. The light is so pretty it was hard to narrow down photos! Gotta love a photographer who isn't my dad, now I don't feel bad about dragging him all over for photos. Luckily we go to the same place for walks every day and it has ample photo spots. Plus he likes taking them. Hopefully I'll be seeing some more great sunsets this weekend while I'm off camping in Vermont!

Also, this top may be one of my best cheap thrifts ever. I got it for $1. I don't wear it as often as I used to but it's so soft and easy to wear. It also doesn't make me overheat even on warmer days.

We've still had a few chilly days here and there so I've been able to wear some of my lighter, non-full sleeve sweaters. I wasn't in the mood to wear all of my rings on this day so I wore one that was passed down from my paternal Grandmother. It's a really intricate ring with 4 opals and a tiny ruby in the middle. I don't wear it too often because a) it doesn't go with the rest of my rings since it's gold and b) I'm afraid to lose or chip it.

These shoes are one of my favorite Net-a-Porter sale buys. I always find great pieces during the sales for a fraction of the retail price. Normally I wait for the end of the sale but I knew these would sell out so I bought them the first day in 2013. It's a good thing I did because they sold out that afternoon. This season's Net-a-Porter sale started a couple weeks and I've been trying to resist because I just haaaad to go and buy a house, ha ha. (I do have some advertising money in PayPal if I lose my self control or find something amazing.)

I picked up these super fun gold flecked linen shorts before my Banana Republic Factory styling event for a whopping $8! The first thing I thought to wear them with was this feline print Equipment top. Forgive the wrinkles, I only sat in them for a little bit and they wrinkled right up.

When I got to my parents both of my brothers had interesting thoughts on my look. The youngest said I looked like Ace Ventura. The other told me I looked like an 60 year old woman. That was probably brought on by a combo of the shape of the shorts and the eyeglasses chain. But whatever, I dig it! Personally I'm reminding myself of Ellie from Jurassic Park or someone about to go on a safari.

I wore this a couple weekends ago to go shopping and have brunch at Terrain with Lydia. I had been here to shop before (during Christmas time!) but had never been to the cafe they have. I had some delicious french toast and Lydia had eggs benedict. After that we perused the store and I ended up buying a super cute pumpkin with succulents for my Mom's birthday. I wanted one for myself too but resisted! It was a pretty dreary day so I was dressed for comfort and in shoes that can get wet. I've had these boots for 3 years now (in brown too) and they're still going strong!

This was the third and final time I wore these Karen Walker sunglasses. They're really fun but definitely a statement piece and I prefer my more subdued pairs, even if they are tortoise print they're a little calmer. But that's the great thing about Ditto's Endless Eyewear. It let's you play around with styles you wouldn't normally gravitate toward. Use code CLOSETFASHIONENDLESSDITTO for your first month free!

Funnily enough, these sunglasses aren't the craziest thing about my outfit. These pom pom sandals have been getting me quite a few weird looks, but who cares, they're fun! A woman at Target looked very confused by them, ha ha.
