Just as I thought I was done needing my snow boots we got hit with a Nor'easter last week and had about a foot of snow in the yard.  But that gave me a chance to break them out for this week's throwback outfit! I wore this for a day of working at the house and then headed out to run some errands. I was too lazy to put on makeup so I just dabbed on some red lipstick so my face wasn't so bare. (Not that I normally wear a lot of makeup, just blush and mascara, haha)

"BOOM!" Sweatshirt: Phillip Lim for Target, Jeans: rag & bone (Shopbop), Boots: Grandma's  Ring: Kendra Scott "Naomi double ring"

As I've posted many times before, this sweater is one of my favorite "Shop the boys department" pieces. I loved this sweater when I first saw it in the Neiman Marcus x Target lookbook and the fact that it was for men made no difference. In the end I had to buy a size medium in the boys department because that was all I could find, but I like the cropped look that gives it. And I get a little confidence boost knowing I can still fit into kids clothes.

These boots will also forever be my favorite giveaway win. I have won my fair share of blog giveaways over the years but these have gotten the most wear out of all the things I have won. The perfect rain (or just gloomy weather) boot.

Sweater: Rag & Bone Boys for Neiman Marcus x Target, Tee: Cullen (Rue La La), Jeans:  Free People (Gilt Groupe), Rain Boots: däv, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Dark Purple Chloé Faye (eBay)

This is the first outfit that popped in my head when I thought about styling these boots I first posted last week. So far these boots are down to $6 per wear (I paid $12,) and I only need to wear them 10 more times to be at the optimal $1 per wear many strive for. I do love a good deal! Especially one that perfectly matches my Chloé Faye.

Turtleneck Sweater: Inis Crafts (Marshalls), Jeans: rag & bone skinny jean in Iris (Shopbop), Necklace: House of Harlow 1960 'Five Station Blackened Arrowhead' (South Moon Under), Patchwork Boots: Impo 'Omega' (DSW), Bag: Chloé Faye (eBay)

I wore this for a belated birthday lunch date with a friend last week. VERY belated since her birthday was in March...oops! We went to our favorite restaurant, The Chowder Pot in Branford. It is SO good. We always stuff ourselves with salad, honey butter bread, shrimp and fish! This time we shared blackened tilapia and shrimp scampi....mmm!

P.S. Happy Star Wars Day!!!! I'll be spending my day working and watching Rogue One and Episodes 4-8! May the Fourth Be With You!

Leather Jacket: Theyskens Theory (Nordstrom Rack), Sweater: T.Babaton c/o Aritzia & Lucky, Jeans: Rag & Bone (Shopbop), Sandals: Seychelles (DSW)

I swear it was raining when I put on this outfit! But, happily for outfit pictures, the weather decided to clear up. Normally when it rains all I want to wear is big chunky sweaters and jeans. I changed things up this time and went with a bright striped sweaters and my fun printed wellies! Notice how the pink on the boots matches the sweater, I am sooooo cool! (not really...)

Sweater: Banana Republic, Jeans: Rag & Bone (Shopbop), Boots c/o Joules

Happy first Throwback Thursday of 2017!! Here's an outfit from almost 3 years ago. My how time flies! This outfit looks much better in photographs than it does in person, I have to say. Or maybe it's just because Lydia took these photos for me.

Tee: Everlane, Sweater: rag & bone NM x Target (boys), Skirt: 3.1 Phillip Lim (Net-a-Porter sale), Boots: Gianvito Rossi 'Finlay' (Marshalls)

As we get closer to the holidays I'm drawn toward sparkles and red/green. I wore this to check out Roundabout's Roundaboutlet a couple weekends ago. Everything in the space, including Chanel was 75% off. Sadly, or luckily for my wallet, everything I liked was either too big or too small. But it's always fun to hunt for things anyway.

Sweater:  rag & bone (eBay), Jeans: J Brand '811 Photo Ready Super Skinny Jean' (Gilt), Flats: Chanel (eBay)

I looooove this sweater! It's actually about 2 sizes too big but that just makes it more cozy! It's one of my better Net-a-Porter sale buys. Some of the pieces I've gotten over the years don't get that much wear, this one gets tons!

Unfortunately these jeans are on their way out, luckily the new J Brand jeans I got last month are the same color, they're just high waisted! Now I don't have to worry about replacing them once they really go out. They're just getting a bit loose and ratty in certain spots but should still be good for at least a year, ha ha.

Sweater: Burberry Brit (Net-a-Porter), Jeans: rag & bone (Shopbop), Boots: Eighteen68 'Megan' (Gilt)

Yes, the Lanvin sandals again! I told you I was wearing them a lot! On this day I wore them to see how well they would do while walking. My mom and I went out shopping with my Grandma and walked about a mile  according to my phone. Good news: my feet felt as good as if I'd been wearing flats! Next time I'll try two miles...maybe next time I'm in New York City!

UPDATE: I wrote this post right after I wore the outfit, but since wearing it I HAVE worn these to New York City. I wore them on a SUPER hot day and my feet did mostly okay. I just walked a little too fast so I irritated my pinky toes. Next time I'll need to slow down to a normal pace instead of my "New York Walk." (Or just put band-aid's on my toes so they don't rub)

Tee: Everlane, Shorts: Rag & Bone (The Outnet), Necklace: BubuRuby, Sandals: Lanvin (Net-a-Porter Sale), Sunglasses: Chanel

We had quite the heatwave last week, complete with nasty humidity! What's a girl to do when it's so hot you don't want to step outside? Put on a super soft top and even softer shorts. These Rag & Bone shorts I got at Marshalls are so comfortable it's like wearing pajamas. They're a little big so I always need a belt, but that doesn't stop me from wearing them!

Top: Cynthia Rowley (Marshalls), Shorts: rag & bone c/o Marshalls, Belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction (Marshalls), Sandals: J.Crew Factory

This sweater is one of my favorite examples of shopping the boys section. When Target did their big Neiman Marcus collaboration I really wanted this rag & bone sweater, but it was only in the boys and mens departments. Luckily I was able to snap one up in a boys medium. Plus, it's fun to say I fit in little boy clothes. Brings back memories of Elisabeth Hasslebeck on The Look for Less. That was always one of her tips, check the boys department!

Cardigan: rag & bone x Target & Neiman Marcus, Tee: Everlane, Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne Jeans' (Shopbop), Boots: Eighteen 68 'Megan' (Gilt), Necklace: bought in Santorini
