We're getting closer to Fall, my favorite season. While I'm not ready for sweaters just yet, I can start getting into the spirit with my jewelry. Layering gold necklaces from Aurate New York is a perfect way to do that while not burning up in the end of Summer heat. After all, there's still 2 weeks until Autumn officially starts! (on my 4th wedding anniversary! Yes, we love Autumn so much we got married on the first day - although some years it's a day or two later)

I wore this on a warm early September day (aka this past Friday) and, since we're still experiencing Summer weather, I decided to celebrate the upcoming season with my color choices rather than pieces of clothing. These Proenza Schouler tweed colorblock shorts are quite an odd piece to style. I've worn them in warmer temperatures with tees and tanks but also wore them for Thanksgiving last year with tights underneath and a sweater on top. I could easily wear this on an early-Autumn day in a month with a sweater and no tights. The color palette is perfect for Fall, the colors remind me of falling leaves.

Sandals will remain in my outfits until it becomes too cold for my toes. They're my favorite form of footwear so it always takes a while for me to give them up for the rest of the year. These black leather ones can also be worn into Autumn & Winter with jeans, especially with tights or socks!

On to the main event - Pre-Fall layering! Since we can't layer our clothes, why not our jewelry? It's so easy to do with any necklaces you have. I make sure they're different lengths and also try to have one stand out from the rest. The buttery and bronzed tones of the semi-precious stones in this Destination Aura beaded necklace are perfect to carry me into those cooler months. The colors go perfectly with the colorblock shorts; they were meant to be worn together! I wore the beaded necklace with the clasp up front because I loved the detail of it.

If you're also an Autumn lover, how do you celebrate the coming season with your wardrobe choices? Do you ease in with colors or go all out and wear sweaters in September even if it's hot. (No judgment ;) )

I love when these forsythias on my Mom's property line bloom in Spring. Always such a great spot for outfit photos. I've been meaning to wear these jeans again for a while but whenever we went out it was to the grocery store and I didn't feel like wearing heels and weird jeans there.  I'm not usually a big fan of white/cream clothes, but this top is always an exception. Such a beautiful print and I love the birds on it.

Here's one of the looks I mentioned in my last outfit post that I wore while visiting my sister and didn't get photos of. I did change the shoes from the previous time I wore this since we weren't expecting snow. This is what I wore for our early Valentine's lunch. Christian and I aren't big celebrators of the holiday but we do like to go out to a nicer than usual weekend meal. Last year we got takeout because we were still unvaccinated but this year we went out to one of our favorite places (mine since I was little) The Chowder Pot! We were the first ones there when they opened and by the time we left there were only 3 other tables in our section. We were the youngest there, haha! Gotta love eating at 11am with the old people.

P.S. Ignore the black ring on my other hand. Christian doesn't like to wear his wedding ring when he drives so I put it on to avoid it being misplaced. Totally forgot to take it off for photos, ha ha!

As I mentioned in my January Wardrobe Update, one of my oldest blog friends launched a children's clothing line (with some pieces for women too!) called MÄ«ere the Label!  I've known Jamie-Lee of Mademoiselle for over 10 years now. Crazy to think I've been blogging for that long!

We were able to meet in person way back in 2011 when she took a trip to New York City from New Zealand. She now lives in Australia with her husband and baby boy. I have loved watching her blog following skyrocket over the years and seeing her success! Now with her clothing line I'm even more proud.

Enough gushing, on to the clothes! Jamie is the master of basics so I know anything she creates will be perfect right down to the last detail. This first sweater, made with organic cotton, has beautiful stitching, open rolled neckline and is super cozy. She designed it oversized so that mothers can easily breastfeed while wearing it. Obviously I don't need to worry about that, but the loose fit makes it perfect for wearing around the house as well as out and about. Tucking it into jeans instantly adds more dimension.

With this line, MÄ«ere wanted to "create a capsule of everyday essentials that really last the distance for our little ones, so that you don't have to be constantly thinking about buying the next size up." I think it is genius that she designed them to be a little oversized so they grow with your child. They don't look huge but can easily be worn for way longer than your standard baby clothes sizes. I never know what size to buy for my friends and family, this makes that less stressful.

Not being satisfied with only creating a line that looks beautiful, the company is focused on being natural (even the shipping bag is compostable!)

At MÄ«ere we strive for design perfection and no one does that better than mother nature.  With this in mind our collection is made using natural fibres, and sustainable materials such as organic cotton and bamboo.

If you're looking for the perfect gift for a new Mom in your life I would suggest buying her a matching set of sweaters as a unique gift! Check out the baby knitwear and don't forget mommy! MÄ«ere also has socks, pants, sweatshirts and more is on the way!

Prices are in Australian Dollars and with the shipping cost (to Connecticut) I paid $88.86AUD which converted to $68.67USD. Since it's coming all the way from Australia shipping does take some time, but I got mine in just over 3 weeks.

P.S. MÄ«ere means honey in Greek, which I find adorable because babies are sweet just like honey! I do love a clever name! (Jamie's Grandmother was from Greece so I love that she's using part of her heritage)

Sweater: MÄ«ere the Label women's cotton knit sweater in terracotta, High Waisted Jeans: J Brand 'Maria' High Rise in Supreme, Boots: Cordani (Roundabout), Necklace: House of Harlow 1960 Starburst necklace (South Moon Under), Sunglasses: Chanel, Hat: Walt Disney World

P.P.S. Here's an adorable shot of her son in the matching baby sweater.

It's been a couple years since this sweater was on the blog, kind of weird since I still wear it. It used to be in heavy rotation back in the day but I wear it slightly less now so it will last longer. I bought it during LuckyFabb way back in 2012 with a gift card.

These jeans on the other hand are rarely worn. Mostly because they attract anything that floats and I constantly have to lint roll them. They're also a little too low rise and I always have to pull them up, haha! But I LOOOOVE how super skinny they are so sometimes I'll deal with the annoyance. Plus, the back zipper detail is fun.

Purple Blazer: Evan Picone (shop blazers), Green Snakeskin Print Sweater: T. Babaton (Aritzia), Jeans: J Brand Ankle Zip Skinny Jean c/o Marshalls (shop more J Brand), Shoes: BCBGeneration Yerra slip on sneaker (DSW), Bag: Emm Kuo 'Calle Bahia' (Roundabout), Sunglasses: Chanel (shop oversized sunglasses)
