This shirt hasn't appeared on the blog often but it's one I don't think I will ever get rid of.  The print is super fun and the can be worn a lot of ways. I do always wear the same tank top underneath but I can wear it with jeans, shorts, skirts, etc. I think the last time it appeared on the blog was way back in 2018 when I wore it to Animal Kingdom in Disney World. Funnily enough, the first time it was on the blog (in 2014) I wore it with the same necklace!

Everyone kept thinking I was my sister's dog Teddy when I was walking around the house in these. Christian even thought we had a dog in OUR house when I walked downstairs, ha ha. I do feel weird walking around stores when I'm jingling so I do avoid wearing them to the grocery store but I still love these sandals, especially because the name of the sandal is my middle name (and my late Grandmother's too!)

Well, I finally did it. I used up the last of my gift cards from my Shopbop partnership. Still very sad that it had to end due to the pandemic, but maybe they'll bring me back soon (wishful thinking, ha ha.) You may recall from my May wardrobe update that I mentioned Ancient Greek Sandals' launched their 10th Anniversary Collection. I was torn between 2 pairs - and the high price - so I was debating if I could even justify purchasing a pair. Luckily for me, one of them, the Kore of Berlin sandal, popped up on Shopbop and I decided it was time to use the remainder of my gift cards (plus a tiny bit of blog advertising money) to get them! I also found a 15% off coupon to help a bit more.

The other pair I wanted, the Victory Of Samothrace Metallic Wing Sandals, sold out fairly quickly on the Ancient Greek Sandals site and everywhere else they were in stock. I haven't seen them anywhere else yet but still going to keep my eyes open. Those were fitting for me because the first pair of Ancient Greek Sandals I bought almost 10 years ago were their Ikaria winged sandals. These were actually $20 cheaper than the Kore of Berlin sandals I bought.

I wore this outfit to the Roger Williams Zoo last month but it was too people-y to take pictures without feeling dumb so I re-wore it the next weekend to take some! I figured I would go with the animal theme since we were going to the zoo so I picked my fun safari print tee by Madewell and paired it with custom Nike's made from leopard print pony-hair. I know, it was weird to make sneakers in a material I couldn't actually use for hiking or working out - but I don't generally do those activities so why not go wild! I've had these for seven years now, wowza!

It's always so hard for me to take outfit photos in Winter, yet they are usually some of my favorite outfits. I always feel bad making Christian stand out in the cold taking photos so sometimes wee don't take pictures. As was the case last weekend when we went to visit my sister. I wore two cute outfits, but no photos. Maybe I'll rewear them so we can get some pictures.

I wore this a couple weekends ago to visit my Grandparents for a bit. We hadn't been over in a while, for obvious reasons, but Grandma does get sad when she doesn't see us so we still try to go every few weeks. I don't think Grandpa minds seeing us either, ha ha.

I loved this outfit, sadly the pictures do not do it justice. This is nothing against my amazing photographer, I just remember being super uncomfortable and in a rush when taking these because we were near a busy street.  (people kept walking in front of me and starring, as non-bloggers do, ha ha. Luckily no one was walking directly on the street behind me.) We had just finished checking out the Annual Scarecrows Along Main in Historic Wethersfield and it was fairly crowded because it was the last weekend before Halloween.

As many of you know, I have social anxiety so taking photos in public is always a huge ordeal for me. Normally we try to do photos away from people, but I really wanted pictures in this outfit and it was getting too dark to go somewhere secluded (plus we went with my Aunt and Uncle and didn't want to take too long for them.)

Just imagine me looking happier and less awkward.

P.S. Did you know cheesy landscape sweaters like this are in style again this year! So glad I bought this a couple years ago when it wasn't as in, even though people said it was weird, ha ha! Goes to show - buy what you love even if other's don't agree, one day they'll be hunting for something just like it! Who wants to buy me this fun Sea New York sweater with sheep!? So cute. Stud earrings will always be my earring of choice because they are so easy to wear and sleep in without worry. I'm notorious for wearing the same pair for weeks on end but thanks to Aurate I've been swapping out my earrings more often because I've grown a small collection of cute pairs from the brand.

With many of Aurate's earrings you can buy singles or pairs which makes it super easy to customize stud earrings for your tastes. They have a new diamond moon, lightening bolt, gold letters, birthstones and more! All can also be made in yellow, rose or white gold so there truly is something for everyone. I bought a Pearl and Gold Bar Duo Stud Earring in rose gold so I could swap out one of my pearl studs for added interest.  Such a fun addition to my jewelry box.

This order was the first time I chose items that weren't in stock at the time of purchase. This means that I got to follow along the progress of my earring being made! Aurate doesn't keep a ton of pieces on hand so that you don’t pay for extra inventory costs and they produce less waste. I got emails throughout the whole process so I knew when to expect my jewelry.

Status emails from Aurate

Since my jewelry collection is growing it may be time to figure out a new display solution. Currently I have a wooden jewelry box my grandpa made where I store old pieces. I also have a clear plastic tray organizer with multiple boxes so I can grab my most worn pieces with ease. For some of my bigger necklaces I have a really cute wall hanger that my Mom made with fun knobs on a piece of teal painted wood, similar to this piece. I did get Aurate's Travel pouch for when I go on longer trips and want jewelry options, super convenient!  How do you store your jewelry?

I was going to wear the pearl studs for my brother's wedding reception last month but there was a delay in shipping due to a hurricane and they didn't arrive in time. I opted to go for my fun rose gold Sensu Ear Jackets from Aurate along with my pearl necklace instead!

He got married in a small ceremony last year so this year was technically the reception. I wore the same dress to his small scale wedding but wasn't about to not wear it for the big gathering! To make it different I just switched up my accessories. Easy peasy!
