Do you have a piece of clothing that your significant other or friends don't like? This is that piece for me. For some reason my fiancé just doesn't like it. Is it the green? Is it the zebras? Who knows! And who cares, I still love it! My favorite sandals also match with it perfectly so it will be staying in my closet for a long time.  I actually bought my mom a pair of pants in this print for Mother's Day a few years ago because she liked these Sea pants I have and thought the zebra print was cute. So hopefully when she's done with them I'll get to annoy him with those too ;)

Dress: Splendid Zebra Print Dress (NETAPORTER, also here), Studded Suede Sandals: Lanvin (Net-a-Porter Sale), Bag: Emm Kuo 'Calle Bahia' (Roundabout), Sunglasses: Gucci

Happy Friday!!! I hope everyone had a good week! I'm super nervous today because I'm hosting a styling event at the Banana Republic at Clinton Crossing Premium Outlets this afternoon. I've never done anything like this because I'm so shy, so wish me luck!

Zebra Dress: Splendid (Net-a-Porter), Mules: BCBGeneration 'Beverly' (Saks Off 5th at Clinton Crossing)

Positano was all about relaxation. On our first full day we had a much needed lie-in and then drove to the grocery store to get some breakfast food, lunch supplies and something for dinner that night. Once we got back we had a leisurely breakfast on the terrace, made sandwiches for the beach and headed down!

The only bad thing about our bnb was that we had to walk down (and then back up) almost 500 steps to get to the beach. But once there it was glorious. It was a small beach with an expensive hotel and beach restaurant attached and not many people were on the actual beach. We spent almost the rest of the day there and headed back up to our apartment to make burgers for dinner.

Swimsuit: Tory Burch 'Issy' Triangle Bikini (Net-a-Porter), Zebra Print Dress: Splendid (Net-a-Porter), Sandals: Sam Edelman c/o ThredUp, Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika'

On a rather rainy day on our trip we decided to take a little field trip to Newport so I took the afternoon off work to join in on the fun. Luckily for most of our time in Newport the rain stayed away but we did have a 20 minute span of rain where we ducked into a store. I ended up buying a really fun opal (and I THINK sapphire) owl ring at the Armory Antique Marketplace. Opal is my birthstone and owls are one of my favorite animals so I couldn't resist him!

Dress: Splendid (Net-a-Porter Sale), Sweater: American Eagle, Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (bought in Santorini)

My mom and I also matched on this day. She wore the zebra print pants I bought her for Mother's Day since she wanted a pair like my Sea New York silk pants.

This was worn on a SUPER hot day a few weeks ago. I spent a few hours cooling down in the pool but when I had to get dressed I kept it simple with my super cute Splendid dress and Lanvin sandals which I wore 3 times in 4 days when I first got them (and the 4th day I didn't get dressed.)  Both the pieces in this look were bought during Net-a-Porter's End of Season sale, just one year apart.

I wore this a couple weekends ago when I visited friends in New York City. It was really nice out but definitely hot in the sun. On this particular day I did a bit of shopping with an old blog friend, Laura, who I met in person for the first time in 2014. She was visiting for London so we made sure to meet and catch up.

I wanted to get at least one more wear out of this Summer dress before it goes away for months, so I decided to wear it as a shirt and inject Autumn in with some leather! You can also see another attempt at curling my hair without a curling wand. I put my hair into 4 little buns after my shower and slept in them overnight. They're okay, but not perfect yet!

Dress (as shirt): Splendid (Net-a-Porter Sale), Leather Skirt: Siena Style (Coco's $10 sale), Jacket: Elie Tahari x Design Nation (Kohl's), Boots: 3.1 Phillip Lim 'Peggy' (Barney's Warehouse)

I wore this for brunch in the city with a few friends! I took these photos after I got home so I'm a bit disheveled in the photos, what can you do?  The fishtail braid has become my go-to this Summer. Whenever I don't want to leave it down or put it in a ponytail I just through it up in a fishtail!

Leather Jacket: Theyskens Theory (Nordstrom Rack), Dress: Splendid (Net-a-Porter Sale),  Sandals: Ancient Greek Sandals 'Alethea' (bought in Santorini)

I wore this outfit to check out a tiny little "artists guild" shopping thing in Rhode Island. It turned out to be 5 tables with crafty type things, a little underwhelming. BUT there was a necklace that was really pretty made with stones (but a tiny bracelet from the same person was $45 so I didn't bother looking at the price and passed it by.)  After that we went to a fun candy store where I bought some My M&Ms .

I made my bi-yearly Net-a-Porter Sale purchase this month and was pretty well behaved. I bought a dress and a bathing suit and paid only $16 after advertising money.  I always try to wait until the end of the sale to buy my items hoping they'll be further reduced. When I do this I risk the item selling out before I can get it, but I don't really NEED anything new, so it's a good way to discipline myself. In the past I have bought pieces right away if I felt like it was something that I couldn't live without.  I also ordered a fun tee during French Connection's Extra 70% off sale items promotion.
