Some days you just want to wear an oversized men's sweater, Star Wars leggings and heeled boots. I think I've only worn this sweater once on the blog, but its one of my favorite "hang around the house" pieces. Then I decided it needed some blog time in honor of Mickey's 90th birthday last month. I think I paid about $5 for it back in 2013. There are a few on eBay right now too if you want to grab one for yourself!

Funnily enough, half of this outfit is thrifted. The sweater, turtleneck and bag were all under $10! (The bag was $2!) The leggings were a gift from Kohl's as a part of my Star Wars photoshoot. The only expensive thing I'm wearing is my boots, which I also got for half retail price at Marshalls.

Sweater: Mickey State Letterman Sweater (thrifted), Turtleneck: Vanessa Bruno (Coco's $10 sale), Leggings: Rock & Republic Star Wars Studded Leggings c/o Kohl's, Boots: Gianvito Rossi 'Finlay' (Marshalls), Bag: Etienne Aigner (thrifted)

As is our tradition each year, we went to Jones Family Farms the day after Thanksgiving to pick out a Christmas Tree for my parents living room! This was Chrisitan's first year joining in on the tradition and since one of my brothers had to work he got the job of helping carry the tree to the bailer! What an honor, ha ha.

I wore my traditional Stella McCartney polar bear sweater for the occasion. I've worn it to get our tree pretty much every year since I bought it. I only missed once because I wanted to wear a fun new festive llama sweater. This year it was extra chilly so I layered another sweater underneath, added a vest and wore tights under my jeans.

I stole my sister's dog Teddy for my photos. Isn't he the cutest?

Vest: Ella Moss 'Nico Faux Fur Vest' (Marshalls - in black, also here), Polar Bear Sweater: Stella McCartney 'Polar bear intarsia wool and alpaca-blend sweater' (The Outnet), Jeans: J Brand Danica Moto Skinny with Ankle Zippers (Marshalls), Boots: Eighteen 68 'Megan' (Gilt Groupe), Sunglasses: Gucci, Eyeglasses chain: Tinksky (Amazon), Beanie c/o Ricefield Collective (out of business)

P.S. Someone stole one of my outfit pictures for their eBay listing for these jeans! haha!

My friend Kristen told me we had to visit Cacao 70 while in Montreal for some delicious hot chocolate. They have a ton of locations in the city and we chose one that was near a location we were visiting on our first day. It wasn't as crowded as many others we walked by later in the week, probably because it was in a less dense area. I'm wondering if other places would have had more fun options to choose from. For our visit we just stuck with plain dark hot chocolate, which was DELICIOUS. I was still a little full from lunch so I didn't try one of the various snacks. But I bought a dark chocolate bar that I have yet to try, I'm sure it will be very tasty. Our two travel partners had cookies and said they were really good. I'll share some photos of the inside in my mini travel guide later this week!

Since we would be outside most of the day I layered up in a thin turtleneck, chunky sweater and my winter coat (not pictured.) The inside of the cafe was so fun we decided to do my photos inside, yay for not freezing while taking pictures! I found a LOT of this sweater on eBay so if you want it check out the widget below the outfit photos!

Sweater: Madewell 'Sophia' Ribbed Sweater,  Turtleneck: Vanessa Bruno (Coco's $10 sale), Jeans: J Brand 'Maria' High Rise in Supreme (Gilt Groupe),  Boots: Vince Camuto 'Davilla' (Marshalls), Wedding Band: Sofia Zakia Altair Ring (Catbird), Engagement Ring: Custom Sofia Zakia Wandering Star Ring, Opal

*Still wearing my original pair of these boots, especially when I travel, so I don't ruin the new pair!

This is me trying to brighten up a gloomy (almost rainy) day. How'd I do?! I bought this jacket almost exactly 4 years ago at Target and while it doesn't come out often it always bring a smile to my face. I mean who doesn't love a bright purple rain jacket?!

Floral Jacket: Target, Turtleneck: Vanessa Bruno (Coco's $10 sale), Jeans: Free People, Necklace: House of Harlow (from Lydia), Two-Tone Sandals: Cole Haan 'Minetta' (Amazon)

I've amassed quite the collection of vests over the past couple of years and they all involve fur. This one is the most unique since it's chevron printed AND multicolored! Lydia got it for me for Christmas and it was such a great find! The fact that there are so many colors in it makes it a lot easier to style than you'd think. I think next time I'll wear it with light brown.

Fur Vest: Romeo & Juliet Couture (from Lydia), Turtleneck: Vanessa Bruno (Coco's $10 sale), Jeans: Free People, Boots: Candie's c/o Kohl's, Sunglasses: Ray Ban 'Erika' c/o Ditto, Bag: Emm Kuo 'Calle Bahia' (Roundabout Resale)

Happy Friday! Another outfit from before last week's blizzard. I wore this when my parents and I went to go check out my aunt's new spa - Balancing Bodies Spa in Rocky Hill, CT. So go get a massage from her if you're in the area! She's been in the biz for over 20 years.

After that we headed to my Grandma's for the Super Bowl. I was almost a little too warm in this outfit, even without a coat. Then, of course, we were hit with 12 inches of snow. Stupid winter!

Turtleneck: Vanessa Bruno (Coco's $10 sale), Sweater: Madewell (Shopbop), Jeans: Free People, Over the Knee Boots: Audrey Brooke 'Mirie' (DSW), Necklace: Geoclassics

I usually layer this turtleneck under my bigger sweaters because it's very thin. But on this day it was a little warmer so I decided to just wear a vest over the top.  I quite like the mix of teal and dark gray/black and the super soft fur. Definitely a look for days when you want to be super comfortable.

Vest: Simply Vera Wang c/o Kohl's, Turtleneck: Vanessa Bruno (Coco's $10 sale), Jeans: Free People (eBay), Sunglasses: Chanel, Boots: Gianvito Rossi 'Finlay' (Marshalls), Bag: Emm Kuo 'Calle Bahia' (Roundabout Resale)
