Who says you can't wear black and brown together? I think this outfit looks just fine and I'm wearing two different shades of brown with my black vest. Although, I guess it could be considered dark gray. Either way, the colors work well together, don't you think? The mild weather we had in December made it possible for me to get more use out of my vests, always a plus! This may be my favorite of my vests because the (faux) fur is so soft!

How is it December already?! I still feel like Halloween was yesterday but Thanksgiving has come and gone. Before I get to my two Thanksgiving outfits, here's one featuring my new cashmere sweater! I bought it with a gift card I got from returning a sweater from my birthday (it didn't fit right.)  I probably could have gotten this in an XS, but I like the looser fit, more cozy.  These faux suede pants are super soft so combining them with the cashmere was a no brainer! Super comfortable but chic at the same time, I'm sold! Plus, how can you go wrong with navy and army green?

This necklace is also new thanks to a gift card I got to Luisaviaroma at the RewardStyle NYFW party back in September. I couldn't decide on what to buy that was over the gift card amount so in the end I chose to pick up this necklace for just under $100 after a discount rather than forking over my own money for a pair of mules I liked. What can I say? I'm cheap.

My Autumn uniform, still in full swing. What can I say, I love the simplicity of jeans and sweaters! I have plenty of both but I've been finding myself wearing the same few over and over (these and my high waisted J Brands, with some Free People thrown in) Unfortunately it was super sunny when I had the time to take photos so I'm a bit washed out...but what can you do? I did go a little crazy and added the vest on this particular day. I'm such a rebel!

Happy Back to the Future day!!!! Will you be having a marathon of the movies? I was planning on doing that tonight but I'm going to an event with Lydia instead. Luckily I work from home so I can just watch all three during the day while I work. The perks of freelancing!

I intended to wear this sweater with jeans but then decided to mix it up a bit with these pants I've had for at least 10 years. They're a perfect match, don't you think?

As promised here's a quick behind the scenes look at my Star Wars photoshoot with Kohl's! I had such a fun day with Megan, Amiyrah and Lillian! I wish I took some more photos of the three of us having fun backstage, but we were a little too excited! Megan was kind enough to send over a bunch of her photos so I am sharing some of them as well.

By now all my regular readers know that I LOVE Harry Potter. What many of you may not know is that one of my first fandoms was Star Wars, back when I didn't even know what a fandom was.  When I was younger my brother, sister and I would watch the original trilogy on VHS all the time.  Then when my youngest brother started watching tv/movies he would watch one pretty much every day. Needless to say I can quote the movies with dialogue, music and sound effects without missing a beat.

When Kohl's asked me to be part of their Force of Fashion YES Moment, I had to accept! A day with fellow Star Wars fans styling outfits: what could be better than that?! The day was so much fun, especially when spent with girls who loved Star Wars as much as I did. The Kohl's team was amazing and so fun to work with. We had a long day of shooting and a video interview session talking about our love of the series.  Below are some of the official photos and the video, I'll share behind the scenes stuff separately since there are so many photos!

For my first outfit I dressed up an adorable R2D2 sweatshirt! R2 is one of my favorite characters (along with C3P0) so I HAD to pick this piece. With my second look I went a bit edgier with the leggings and vest. Normally I don't wear leggings as pants, but with the vest it covers up everything I want to hide.  The other girls also did an amazing job styling up the Star Wars collection. I think we've proved that you can be a fashionable geek, yes?! Kohl's was nice enough to let us take home the clothes we modeled, so I can't wait to wear all these pieces in the coming months.

If you want to follow the other lades, find them here: Megan, Amiyrah and Lillian!

P.S. Who else is SUPER excited for The Force Awakens (plus the new theme park at Disney!)

As of tomorrow it will officially be Autumn. Let's hope it lasts a long time and we don't skip straight to Winter. I love the days of perfect temperatures, pretty colored leaves and the crisp smell in the air.  It's also almost time to start watching Halloween movies every day! See my list of must-watch movies from a couple years ago!

I always feel like I can only wear these pants in the cooler weather even though the fabric is thin. The colors are just too dark for the middle of Summer. But the end of Summer - Fall is the perfect time for them!

This is an outfit I wore while out shopping with Lydia a couple days ago. We headed to Roundabout for their Summer sale (I bought two dresses.) I ordered this top before I went on vacation during French Connection's Extra 50% off sale promotion, which is still going on with code 50SALE.  As I've said many times on the blog, I rarely wear or buy white because I'm afraid of staining/it being see through. Luckily this top isn't see through, but I did get lipstick on it from trying on clothes, GAH!

Top: French Connection, Skirt: Sierra Style (Coco's $10 sale), Sandals: Simply Vera Wang (Kohl's), Bag: Wink and Winn (giveaway win), Sunglasses: Chanel (bought in Athens)
