This was an outfit I threw on to go visit my aunt for my monthly massage. I slept over and met up with Lydia at Clinton Crossing the next day for our Fall Fashion Preview. Luckily she decided she wanted to do two sets of outfit pictures otherwise this never would have made it on the blog and I actually REALLY like it.

Camisole: eight sixty, Jeans: IRO c/o Wikibuy, Velvet Floral Embroidered Mules: Zigi Soho (T.J. Maxx), Amethyst Necklace: BubuRuby (etsy), Aviator Sunglasses: Gucci, Eyeglasses chain: Tinksky (Amazon), Bag: Chloé Faye (eBay)

Here's a full redo of an outfit from 2010. I was almost going to wear different shoes but decided to just go for the original and add in some new accessories. This dress actually should have left my closet years ago since I never wear it. I hate the fabric it's made out of. BUT...I keep it around for my Willy Wonka Halloween costume in case I ever need to wear it again.

Dress: ASOS, Jacket: Mudd (Kohl's), Shoes: Simply Vera Wang (Kohl's), Necklace: BubuRuby (etsy), Opal Ring & Earrings: Grandma;s

The Original:

We had a bit of a cold snap (aka under 80 degrees) last week so I decided to rewear this look I wore in Spring 2014. It was actually the last outfit I wore to go to the office in New York City. After that the company I worked for started letting me work from home full time. I can't believe it's been over 3 years since I made the move to working from the living room. Crazy how time flies!

This is also the first set of outfit photos with my new Panasonic Lumix FZ1000! Woohoo! Best Prime Day purchase EVERRR!

Top: Winter Kate (Hautelook), Jeans: J Brand c/o Marshalls, Wedges: Steve Madden (DSW), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Natural Selection Mini Messenger Bag' (Saks Fifth Avenue), Necklace: SPARKLEFARM (etsy)Watch: Skagen (Rue La La)

The original:
I wore this to go see my cousin in his teen theater production of Bye Bye Birdie last week. He played Conrad Birdie and did an amazing job (even if a girl jumped on his back and messed up his microphone for one song, haha) I'm also surprised by how many pieces these espadrilles go with. When I bought them I was thinking to myself 'do I really have that much I can wear with them?' Apparently so! This is also one of my favorite dresses. I can wear it dressed up, down or in the middle. Perfection.

Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs (small, small), Espadrilles: Sam Edelman 'Lars' (NETAPORTER), Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Natural Selection Mini Messenger Bag' (Saks Fifth Avenue), Necklace: SPARKLEFARM (etsy)

Who doesn't love a good blazer or curling up with a good book? This blazer wraps both into one. I don't wear it much since it's such a statement piece but it's one of my favorite blazers.  I wish I wasn't still wearing blazers at this point in the year, but what can you do? Sometimes Winter just wants to stick around.

For this outfit I was inspired by Farfetch's brand new Style Guide. They have an article on why velvet should be your go-to fabric and I completely agree! It's one of my favorites to wear because it's luxurious, fun and soft! It can be worn in any season now thanks to all the different styles that are offered. Velvet now comes in slip dresses, blazers, pants and more!

It's also my blog's 7th anniversary today...how crazy is that?!! In the beginning I never planned on sharing my outfits, and now look at me! 4 times a week!

Blazer: Paul Smith (Roundabout), Tee: Everlane, Jeans: J Brand (Gilt), Boots: 3.1 Phillip Lim 'Peggy' (Barneys Warehouse), Necklace: BubuRuby

Hello, new boots! I picked these up at Marshalls a couple weekends ago. They were my first actual purchase (aka not made with advertising money or birthday money) in a couple months so I'm pretty proud of myself. Ha ha. Still pricey, but I pride myself on my ability to get designer clothes for less. 4 pieces in this look are designer and I didn't pay full price for any of them. Most I paid less than 35% of the retail price.

Book Printed Blazer: Paul Smith (Roundabout Resale), Tee: Everlane, Jeans: FRAME 'Le Skinny de Jeanne' (Shopbop), Necklace: BubuRuby (etsy), Bag: Emm Kuo (Roundabout Resale), Boots: Gianvito Rossi 'Finlay' (Marshalls)

After a bit of a break, here's the second outfit from when I visited my sister a couple weekends ago (first here.) I had my dad take these photos really quick so I didn't do my usual check and my necklace is a bit screwy! And we weren't paying attention to the sun so the sweater is 2 different colors, haha! The price we pay for rushing.

Sweater: Abercombie & Fitch, Jeans: Free People 'Jax' patched skinny, Flats: Burberry Prorsum (net-a-porter), Necklace: BijouLimon (etsy), Bag: Emm Kuo (Roundabout Resale), Sunglasses: Prada via Ditto Endless Eyewear

Now that all my trips are over it's back to Throwback Outfit Thursdays! Sometimes basic outfits are all you need. This skirt is always fun since I can play with the length a bit because of the design. I usually opt for it to be a bit shorter but I can also make it closer to my knees. And my mouse flats, Jacques and Gus, are always crowd pleasers.

Top: Cullen (Rue La La), Skirt: T by Alexander Wang (NET-A-PORTER), Mouse Flats: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Necklace: SparkleFarm

This outfit is nothing special, until you look at the shoes. Sometimes all you need for a great outfit is a killer pair of heels. They instantly make this outfit cooler and it is still, in my opinion, stylish almost 3 years after it's original debut.

Tee: Everlane, Sweater: Ralph Lauren (Good Will), Jeans: Free People (Gilt Groupe), Heels: Miu Miu (eBay), Necklace:  SparkleFarm (etsy)

The Original

I wore this outfit to go see Charles Dickens' great-great grandson perform A Christmas Carol with my sister and her boyfriend.  Gerald did an amazing rendition of the story in just under two hours. I actually laughed out loud a few times, which is rare for me in public settings. I normally try to keep my emotions in check at movies/shows. We also had the chance to meet him earlier in the day at The Historical Christmas Barn in Wilton, CT and he signed illustrated copies of the book.  If you are in the area any time of year definitely check them out, such a great selection of ornaments and decorations.

I have never actually read A Christmas Carol (until this year, reading it now!) but Scrooge with Albert Finney is one of my favorite Christmas movies. In fact, my whole family always sits down to watch it on Christmas Eve Eve (since we have family over on Christmas Eve). One of my favorite traditions! If you haven't seen that movie yet, watch it RIGHT NOW.

Also, I promise I'll stop showing this bag in my outfit pictures! Like I said earlier, it rarely leaves my arm these days!

Blazer: Evan Picone (from Christine), Sweater: Merona (Target), Jeans: Free People, Loafers c/o Joie, Necklace: Etsy, Bag: Emm Kuo 'Westbourne Satchel' (Roundabout Resale),
