Follow Me
This was a very cold and snowy week (you can see the difference from Tuesday to Thursday)!  We had a HUGE storm Tuesday night into Wednesday so I worked from home, meaning I could stay in my pjs all day, YES!  So this week there are only 4 outfits, and I even took outside shots this week! ;)

Since I went Marc Jacobs crazy last week I decided to give some less loved items some major love and didn't wear anything by Marc (sad). Especially my McQ dress which I hadn't worn in almost a month: SHAMEFUL!!! It needs to be worn every week :p. (and those red pants are from middle school...haha...or freshman year of high school, either way that's at least 8 years old XD)

Monday: Dress: McQ by Alexander McQueen gift, Hoodie: Forever 21 gift, Flats: Chaps $8.50

Tuesday: Sweater: hand-me-down from old roommate, Jeans: American Eagle $0, Sandals - Simply Vera by Vera Wang $16
Thursday: Pants: Bongo $?, Tee: stole from sister, Sweater: Forever 21 $11.80, Boots: Croft & Barrow $12, Leopard Coat: ?  gift
Friday: Dress as skirt: Freeway courtesy of álainn • bella, Sweater: American Eagle gift, Flats: vanEli gift
And here are some random blooper shots, ha ha. The leopard coat one came out pretty insane because of all the snow, ha ha.

I decided to do another expensive Dress for Less post, ha ha...talk about an oxymoron.  The last time I did one everyone seemed to enjoy it, so I thought I'd try it out again.  This has no price limit and is an outfit from my dream wardrobe. All I have to do to get it is to marry a millionaire or win the lottery ;)
Sweater - J. Crew $70
Skirt - Preen Line $415
Boots - Burberry $995
Watch - Michael Kors $250
Black Tights: ASOS $6.90
TOTAL:  $1736.90
P.S. I wanted to pair it with this T by Alexander Wang sweater and oddly enough they had styled it with that skirt...HOW WEIRD! So I felt weird using it because it would look like I cheated and used their styling ;)

Once again I did a cheaper version, about 83% cheaper, oh yeaaaaa ;) (still a lot though)
Sweater - ASOS - $25.86
Skirt - ASOS $51.72
Boots - Mea Shadow $165
Watch - ASOS $51.72
Black Tights: ASOS $6.90
TOTAL:  $301.20

Back in November when I was staying in New York City for the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Premiere, our hotel had some great products for us to use.  It was a brand that I had never heard of, L'OCCITANE en Provence.  The moment I used the lotion, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner I was in love!  The products smell great and leave you feeling clean and fresh! We even found a retail store in NYC while we were walking around so we were able to try a few of the other scents and products. I really liked the Shea Butter Hand Cream, but sadly it was $26.  [Off topic:  I wore my McQ Dress and Moschino Blazer that day and the employees were all asking me about them, haha...I felt cool ;)]

The products we had in our hotel were the Verbena scent, which I think smells like lemon PEZ, mmmm. I found out that it is a limited edition item so if you like that scent, snap it up quick!  The stuff is a bit expensive, but the product works so it's worth it if you like lotions.  The travel sizes are $8 each.

The randomly picked winners of the 500 Followers Giveaway are Rebecca, Courtney Erin, Lydia, and Laura. I will be emailing each of you shortly so you can decide which prize you want.  I'm emailing in the order above so the last girl will get what's left (but they are all good prizes so hopefully you won't be disappointed).  This also means it may be a little while before the last 3 get emailed depending on how fast the others reply ;)

Many of you probably know by now that Keira Knightly is one of my girl crushes.  She was photographed by Ellen von Unwerth for Vogue Italia's January 2011 issue and I love it! She looks GORGEOUS with her new haircut, even in the photo where she has a beard drawn on her face (how is that possible?). I LOVE the outfit she's wearing in the photo with the dog best, the coat is amazing, but I love them all! Which is your favorite? (click to see them full size in a lightbox)

When I was checking out the Express sale earlier this week I fell in LOVE with these ReRock Moto Jean Leggings, the embellishment on the knees is amazing. It took me since the 5th to finally order them last night, ha ha.  So bye bye $31.99 ;)  Express has such great products but they are WAY too expensive for me, I don't even look on their website very often, but when Katie posted about their sale I HAD to check it out ;)  I decided to make a Dress for Less outfit with them, I hope you enjoy it!
ReRock Moto Jean Leggings - Express $23.99
Turtleneck - ASOS $17.24
Necklace - ASOS $13.79
Wedges - Alloy $39.99
Total: $95.01
---
Trench - ASOS $37.93
Total with Trench: $132.94
Here's another top option: Sweater - ASOS $36.20

As I mentioned on Tuesday, Net-a-Porter's End of Season Sale ends tomorrow.  I decided to go through and post what items I would love to buy (if they had my size...some are sold out in my size...and I had unlimited funds), but I am going to be a good girl and resist on the ones I can actually afford since I need to save money for my trips (and I still wouldn't want to pay that much for them even though they are a lot less expensive because I'm a cheapo).  One of you should buy them and wear them for me ;)  This is only a small selection, there is lots more I would like...but I narrowed it down ;)  Click the photos to go to the product page.

And 2 super expensive things that I am lusting over:

My first This Week in Fashion for the new year! I've tried finding better places for photos but its going to be a little hard for a while because there is construction going on on my street, so I feel stupid going outside taking pictures with them there. And when I'm inside I don't want my mom to see me because she thinks I'm crazy...but I'll have to come out of the closet eventually I suppose (ha ha, see what I did there? I put my blog name with the situation!) I even made the photos bigger for you guys (and now when you click on them the pop-up images are bigger too)!

I went a bit Marc Jacobs crazy this week, ha ha...I can't help it...I'm OBSESSED!  Can you tell he's one of my favorite designers?  I need more more more! Sadly its hard to find deals on eBay when I'm at work all day...and I can't be paying hundreds of dollars on dresses... ;)

(excuse my face for today...I took it very early in the morning because I forgot to take it last night, ha ha) I also decided to put links to where you can buy what I'm wearing...if it's still available.

Monday: Jeans & Sweater: American Eagle $0, Tee: Poof $5, Pumps: Marc by Marc Jacobs gift cards/money ($132)

Tuesday: Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs Christmas Gift, Sweater: Kohl's gift, Purple Pumps: Candie's $12
Wednesday: Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs (eBay) $36, Sweater: gift, Boots: Vintage (eBay) $12

Thursday: Cargos: American Eagle $0, Tee: Urban Outfitters $8, Sweater: American Eagle gift, Wedges: R2 $35

Friday: Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs (eBay) $27, Blazer: American Eagle $20, Flats: vanEli gift
And this is why I probably won't have many outside photos for a while ;)

Everyone is always so shocked to find I buy almost all of my clothes on sale for ridiculously cheap prices.  It really isn't too hard to do, so here are some tips for you girls!  First a lesson from The Nanny, Fran, NEVER pay retail because you can always find it or something really similar cheaper (sometimes there are exceptions to the rule).  And now for some quick tips that I have learned for myself and from my mother. She is the best bargain shopper I know besides me.

eBay - USE eBay!! It is where I get most of my designer stuff for dirt cheap. The only problem is you need to really watch out for fakes.  Check out this post for tips on buying on ebay: Bangin' Bargains: eBay Tips!

TJ Maxx/Marshalls - TJ Maxx, Marshalls and similar stores are great places to find affordable designer fashions!  I always head right to the clearance sections first to check out what they have and then I move on to the other sections.  In these stores you are going to have to search, but you can find some great gems.
Examples from my purchases: DKNY cozy for $20, Theory dress for $29, and tons more!

GoodWill - GoodWill is another great place to find designer clothes for cheap.  Once again you will have to do a lot of digging but you can find great deals such as: BCBG blazer for $12 or a quilted purse and Ralph Lauren sweater for $14! You may have to dig through a lot of junk but there are gems within the dirt.

COUPONS! - Another big money saver is a coupon, duh! If you are shopping online make sure to check sites like retailmenot or just search google for "bluefly coupon codes" or whatever store you are shopping at. You can also search for printable coupon codes as well! A lot of stores have one or two coupon codes floating around at any given time, so you should be able to find one.

Clearance Section - The first thing I do when I go to any store (in person or online) is head straight for the clearance section since I know I will not want to pay full price for something even if its awesome (because eventually it will end up in clearance too).  If you don't find anything in clearance, then by all means head over to the non-sale stuff, but always check clearance first because you never know what you'll find!

I guess that's enough tips and me rambling for now.
