This January has been the snowiest month in the history of Connecticut, literally!
"Meteorologist Bill Simpson of the Weather Service says 54.9 inches of snow has fallen at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks this month, breaking the old record of 45.3 inches in December 1945. Recordkeeping began in 1905."
Here are some photos of the crazy snow we have here...look at how high it is!  There are a lot of pictures, but I couldn't choose which to post so you get to see them all, ha ha.  The first 2 shots of me standing [not the one to the left] are on either side of our driveway, we are running out of places to put the snow! That big pile of snow is across the street from my house, ha ha... And the blue car is my car Hugo, isn't he cute :)

Whenever it snows, or is going to snow I sing this song from White Christmas (my favorite Christmas Movie)
What another lovely week...NOT! Full of snow...I left work early on Wednesday and Thursday it snowed again, A LOT, so I worked from home. I also decided this week that I am no longer letting the weather decide my shoes. I am going to wear my EMUs when I drive to and from work and bring my real shoes to change into when I get there, YAY!  Tomorrow I'm going to post some photos of all our crazy snow...

Last week the Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2011 collection was released. The collection is full of military style pieces and colors and has a lot of structure in the jackets. As always it is a great collection, just not totally wearable. While a lot of the pieces were way too over-sized, there are a few pieces I fell in love with. I also want all of the shoes :)

The moment I saw this Moschino Pre-Fall 2011 outfit it screamed Dress for Less, so of course I had to oblige!  This look is a variation of what I love doing, wearing a dress with a long cardigan over it, a mix of comfortable and dressy.  Sadly I had trouble finding cheap-ish matches that looked good, so this is an expensive Dress for Less...I was going to just drop it and not do one, but decided to still do it. So here we go:
Sweater: ASOS $68.96
Dress: ASOS $51.72
Bag: ASOS $43.10
Shoes: ASOS $68.96
TOTAL: $232.74

Last week Moschino showed both of their Pre-Fall collections.  They were both full of color and great separates that you can mix and match for tons of great outfits! My favorites from each are below. Click to see them larger.

I recently discovered Erin Fetherston (through The Cherry Blossom Girl) and I have to say, I'm in LOVE! I wish I could own everything!! If only it weren't so expensive, sadly all the best things are, right?  But if anyone wants to buy me some of this: go right ahead ;)  Here are my favorite pieces that I would be only too happy to add to my closet:

And some runway looks that weren't in the store (the 1st set is Fall 2010, which is what is in the store...the 2nd is Resort 2011)

I wasn't all too fond of the February issue of VOGUE, but I loved the Gangs of New York editorial! Sadly I couldn't find large versions of all the pages, so there is half of the Rodarte and Michael Kors in large, and then a medium version for the full spreads, ha ha.  I think my favorite is the Ralph Lauren spread, the clothes and girls are just so gorgeous!! I remember loving that collection when it first came out. Click to see them all larger in a lightbox :)

Happy Friday everyone, sooo glad it's the weekend tomorrow! I love sitting around in my pjs 2 days in a row and doing nothing, but I usually don't get to because we have church on Saturday and go to my Grandma's on Sunday, but that is only a few hours.  This week was another nasty weather week so my outfits sort of reflect that.  It's funny how when the weather is bad I never want to dress nice, but when its sunny and not stormy I can dress normally.  I was also having photo issues this week, so most are garbage/blurry...and as a result you can't see the awesomeness of my Marc Jacobs jacket from today, so I have a closeup photo of it at the bottom.

ALSO, I was featured as one of MTV Style's Top Style Blogger Looks Of The Week, YAY! This is my first feature on a really big website, so I'm very excited! :D

For this edition of Dress for Less I decided to draw inspiration from one of the Matthew Williamson Pre-Fall 2011 looks.  I just love the teal pants paired with the gorgeous yellow jacket!  I could NOT find teal pants for the longest time and then I remembered YesStyle and they had a lot of teal choices, these were the best. I had to resort to Forever 21 for the perfect color jacket, but I'm okay with that, ha ha.  It is also a little more expensive than usual because the pieces were so hard to find and I wanted to get it right.  The boot color is a bit off, but the shape is perfect.

Pants - YesStyle $27
Coat - Forever 21 $34.80
Boots - ASOS $51.72
Scarf - ROXY via Amazon $14.99
TOTAL: $128.51
