There are far too many collections from New York Fashion Week that I want to post, so here's a huge mix of collections. I wanted to post more of the looks so I'm using a smaller thumbnail size, but you can click on each one of them to open them to full size in a lightbox (as you can with all the other photos I post on the blog).

I also decided not to do my usual rambling on the collections to save room. Basically I picked these because I loved the colors, shapes, prints, fabrics, etc. :p  For London fashion week I'm only going to post my absolute favorites since I don't want these posts to go on for another month, and I'm sure you're all getting bored of them ;)

Bensoni
Halston
Kelly Wearstler
Ports 1961
Sophie Thealett
Steven Alan
Tommy Hilfiger

This week was only a 4 day work week so I spent Monday in my pajamas reading fashion magazines and watching TV, wooohooo!  Monday I was inspired by the Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 collection, this look in particular, because of the colors! My outfits were a bit boring this week...I was just sooo tired, ha ha.  I promise I'll do better next week ;) And ignore my faces...it was sunny.

Tuesday: Dress as Skirt: Marc by Marc Jacobs (eBay) $28, Sweater: American Eagle $?, Heels: Tahari $24

Wednesday: Jeans: American Eagle, Tee: Threadless $0, Sweater: MICHAEL Michael Kors $10, Booties: No.704b. $20
Thursday: Pants: Glo $?, Top: Urban Outfitters $8.50, Cardigan: American Eagle: $0, Pumps: Candie's $12

Friday: Dress: McQ by Alexander McQueen gift, Sweater: Hollister $15, Wedges: R2 $35
Also here's a shopping and life update. I would have posted these earlier but I wanted to get through all the fashion week stuff, haha. Last weekend I spent part of Saturday organizing my newly revamped closet. My Mom built some shelves for me since what i had was not working for me...so now I have tons of room! YAY for awesome Moms, am I right? Click the photos below for larger versions.
I also did a bit of shopping, on Saturday I bought some makeup and candy at CVS for $10! Then on Sunday my Mom and I went to Burlington Coat Factory and Marshall's. I bought a cream Michael Kors sweater that I wore on Wednesday (normally $100) for $9.98 and some Oscarde la Renta sunglasses, also $9.98...SCORE!!!
Finally, check out this Polyvore contest!  They have partnered with American Eagle asking users to create their best Spring Break looks, 4 winning sets will be selected from all of the Mini Editor submissions and that readers will win a $250-$500 American Eagle gift card or a $1000 cash gift card.  You can submit as many entries as you like using the Mini Editor below, good luck! AND I have something pretty exciting/amazing coming up next month that I can't wait to share with you!  I am pretty much dying in anticipation (nervous...excited...scared...pretty much every emotion).
Don't worry, there are only 4 days left of Fashion Week recap...I squished the rest of the collections I liked into 3 very long posts that will get us through the end of February (there will be a few for London Fashion week that will be dispersed through regular posts next month though) Anna Sui is one of the queens of prints and this collection was no exception, but she also is perfectly comfortable working with solids. This collection is such a nice mix of structured and flowy so everyone can find a look they like!
And now for Christian Cota!  This collection was so cool, I am in love with the cape thing in the first look, I want it RIGHT NOW!  So yea...this collection is awesome ;)

Today I chose two very pretty collections that I just adore.  First up we have Lela Rose, this has to be one of my top collections for Fall 2011, I had such a hard time narrowing it down. I LOVE teal, and this collection was full of it so that's a bonus. The dresses in this collection are so gorgeous and more wearable than most because of their simplicity in shape. Click the photos to see them all larger in a lightbox.
The Charlotte Ronson collection was also full of feminine touches, floral prints and other prettiness. I also loved the layering, I really need to master layering, the best I do is a sweater over a dress...haha

Today I'm featuring both the Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 collections! We all know how obsessed I am with Marc Jacobs so I don't need to elaborate on that ;)  First up is Marc Jacobs, for some reason I never like this line as much as MbMJ...very weird. I mean, I like the collections, I just don't picture myself wearing as many of the looks. But here are some of the looks I did like.
Now for Marc by Marc Jacobs! I LOVE the muted colors of this collection and the mixing of fabrics and prints, totally wearable!  Though I didn't feature many of them, I love the pops of green and other bright colors throughout this collection.
