Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5

Here's the first segment of my vacation photos! These are from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Theme Park in Orlando. I won't say much, I'll let the photos speak for themselves. This was a pretty rainy day but I think that made it feel much more real, like we were really in Hogsmeade. The rides were SO fun and the shops were amazing! The only thing I could have done without is the crowds ;)  Click the photos below to see them larger...I tried to narrow them down but it was so hard...so sorry for the super long photo-spammed post! There will be TONS more on my Harry Potter site in the coming days after I edit the rest of them. XD

And here's a quick video I made, the clips are really short but whatever.
I didn't have time to edit vacation pictures yet since I had to do some for my Harry Potter site last night, so I'll hopefully get to that tonight after I convert some audio from the Harry Potter press conference Monday morning. I'm going to post the photos in the order they occurred, so first up will be the Potter theme park!

These photos are sooo gorgeous, right?  This girl (Natalia) can really pose, there is such movement in all the shots! If only I could have posed like that in my Outnet shoot, ha ha. Also, I am sooo in love with the purple dress!!

Also, The OUTNET's 2nd birthday is coming up so they are having an EPIC $2 sale, but only 2,000 people will be able to shop it. To enter the draw to get an invite head over to this page:

This is a few days late but I figured I would wait to post this until I got home from vacation. I SHOULD go back to my regular daily posting now starting with recaps of vacation but I've had a busy few week so I may need to take another day or two, ha ha. (probably not). So after this will be some vacation photos and stuff and then back to normal fashion posts!

This doesn't include what I bought on vacation though, that doesn't count toward my total anyway since I already made a budget for it at the beginning of the year. Having said that, I was bad this month (even though I'm still under budget) *sigh* But I was really good last month so it evens out XD.
  • March 3 - Necklace Tree $6
  • March 11 - Fabric at Mood in NYC (for a skirt) $14
  • March  12 - Target Designer Dresses  $24.99
    • I bought 4 for $160 and kept 1. 1 sold on eBay with a profit of $15 so I subtracted that from the 1 I kept. And I am still deciding whether or not to keep another one so I haven't counted it yet. If I keep it I will have spent $64.98 on both.
  • March 19 - Two t-shirt Bras at Victoria's Secret $25
  • March 19 - Coral Wedges by Steve Madden $19.99
  • March 25 - Burberry espadrille wedges at The Outnet Sale $91.20
    • These didn't fit as well as I'd hoped so I may resell them...email me if you're interested. US Size 8. Photo here.
  • March 31 - Audio Recorder for HP Press Events $33.58 [update: not counting because it was a business expense]
TOTAL: $181.18
OVER: $18.82

UPDATE: Haha...apparently I forgot the h in March ;) Fixed it...I blame my tiredness
A few weeks ago I got an email that seemed too good to be true. It said: "You are cordially invited to art direct and star in your own fashion shoot, courtesy of theoutnet.com. [...]" Needless to say I squealed a bit and replied back right away saying I'd love to. Then I waited anxiously overnight for a reply and the rest is history.
As all of you guys probably know by now, The Outnet is one of my favorite online stores; it is Net-a-Porter's sister site that sells off season designer clothes for less!  So on March 11th, I nervously headed to New York City [see post] for my shoot.  I am SUPER shy and I've never done a photoshoot before so I was panicking a bit...okay a LOT.  Luckily my mom came with me so I wasn't as scared, and I got tons of behind the scenes photos thanks to her. I can't describe how amazing this was, so I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

My official shots from The Outnet can be seen below! They also put together a page over at the store that contains the items I wore in my shoot as well as some other items: visit that page here!

1st Look: Jason Wu dress, Sergio Rossi heels (buy all at link above)
2nd Look: Adam skirt, Adam tank, Elizabeth and James necklace, my own R2 booties

There will also be a behind the scenes video soon, I will update this post with the video when they upload it. UPDATE: The video is now online, I'm only in it for a few seconds but its so cute.

Here are some behind the scenes shots, including a panoramic I made of the studio with a couple shots she took. Thanks Mommy! <3 (as always click for full sizes)

Before I leave you all until I return from vacation, I would like to thank everyone at The Outnet for this great opportunity. So a HUGE Thanks to Eve, Natalie, John, Joe Hubrich [makeup], Mahogany Grace [hair], Paul James Hay [photographer], Jane, Suzanne and everyone else because I know I'm forgetting someone. I had an amazing time and couldn't have wished for a better first photoshoot (or press event for that matter, it was my first time doing anything officially for the blog.)
I'm off to Florida today!  This is my first time on a plane and first time going to Florida! I'm going with my Aunt, Uncle, cousin and sister.  We are all going to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and then my sister and I are staying in Orlando for 2 more days [we're staying at one of their time shares] to go to to Disney since we've never been there either. (Well my sister went when she was 9 months old, but that doesn't count). And THEN we're meeting back up with our aunt and uncle to spend time with them at their second time share and at the beach! [They got the one my sister and I are staying at for only $200 as a bonus week, haha]. It should be a jolly good time! I'm pretty excited for my first really big vacation.

I decided I'm going to take a break from blogging as well while I'm gone, not that I don't love blogging but it will be hard to update with my iPad, haha.  And that way I can TOTALLY relax, which I rarely do, I'm way too attached to my computer (its an addiction).  But I will be updating my Twitter a bit since I can't totally leave you guys.

I will try to keep up with all your blogs though, I don't want to miss anything good (I might not comment, but I'll definitely be looking.) And then I'll have some lovely Potter/Disney/Beach/Other photo-filled posts for you guys :p

I'll be back on April 2nd! BUT then on April 3rd I'm heading to New York City for some super secret Harry Potter press stuff and won't be back until late Monday night, so I'll probably start posting again the next day.

This week was so weird...Monday it snowed, Tuesday was gorgeous, Wednesday and Thursday there was more snow...I wonder what today will bring.  Tonight I'm off to my aunts house since we leave for Florida tomorrow (woo!) It's going to be nice to have a break from work, ha ha. But I have a LOT to do today before I leave...

Today I am VERY excited for The OUTNET's Clearance sale today!! I hope I at least find one thing I love that isn't a crazy high price.  You need to have an account to shop the sale though, so make sure you register for an account now! The sale starts in the US at 11am EST, if you're in the UK everything is probably sold out, haha.

P.S. on Wednesday's look ignore the snow on my face that looks like something gross :p

Wednesday: Pants: Glo, Sweater: Hollister $15, Flats: vanEli gift

Earlier in the week I got a Dress for Less request from Natalia. She asks: "I would like you to create a cute but practical mom look with lots of color. I am a mom of two boys facing the challenge of daily looking cute, but also being able to play with my boys. I can shop at h&m, zara, mango and other random European shops. But as super cheap as possible! Thanks!"

Since Natalia is a mother of boys I went against using heels and dresses in this look since we all know how boys can be.  Now if it were girls, that would be a different story ;) (unless it was a girl like me, I was a crazy young child) I went with plain jeans since they are a staple in any wardrobe and can be dressed up or down. For a night out all Natalie has to do with this look is change her shoes and maybe swap out the scarf for a rings, bracelets, earrings and necklace.  Also, if you want you can switch out the jeans for a maxi skirt. I tried using more color than this but it kept looking like clown clothes so I toned things down. ;)
Prices in GBP, all from H&M: Jeans: 9.99, Cardigan: 7.99, Top: 2.99,  Flats: 7.99, Scarf: - 4.99, Bag:14.99
TOTAL: 48.94
Maxi Skirt: H&M - 12.99

Here is Part 3 of my Spring Trends Dress for Less series! I'm picking a few of the key trends for Spring 2011 and showing you how you can get those looks for less in a series of posts!  For this post I chose Girly.  If you guys like this you can suggest more spring trends for me to do! :)

Girly: The girly look can be achieved in many ways!  You want to look for light, flowy pieces in blush tones.  Some lace or sheerness would also be a great thing to use in your look.
Just like with the 70s I opted to choose separate pieces instead of a whole look. The top left dress is expensive at $216, but it's Anna Sui and very pretty, so I had to include it ;)
Here comes Part 2 of my Spring Trends Dress for Less series! Like I said in the first part, I'm going to pick a few of the key trends for Spring 2011 and show you how you can get those looks for less in a series of posts!  For this post I chose the Seventies. Next up is Girly.  If you guys like this you can suggest more spring trends for me to do! :)

Seventies: The easiest way to get the 70s look is to grab a pair of super wide legged jeans and add a pretty top tucked in to them like Derek Lam or Elie Tahari.  Some clogs wouldn't hurt either.  You can also go for the Brady Bunch look a la Rodarte's collection. Or wear a 70s like dress as seen in Marc Jacobs' collections.
Rather than doing a full look for this trend I decided to pick some pieces you can incorporate into your wardrobe because wearing all 70s stuff could look a bit time-warpy. ;) The green skirt isn't exactly cheap, but I really liked it so I included it anyway, ha ha.
