Before I get to this post I wanted to let you all know that I FINALLY got a Facebook for the blog, so you can "Like" me here! Now on to the post!
I already did a Spring Lusts post, but there are so many things I would love to have for Spring so I decided to do another, ha ha. This really is the root of my shopaholic problems though, when I get bored I always search on my favorite online stores like The Outnet, Net-a-Porter and ASOS and it makes me want to shop so much more! I should just ignore them all together, but its so fun looking even though I won't buy anything. Click on the images to see more details/to buy if you're lucky and can ;)
Tomorrow I'm going to do an accessories edition! Because I had too many things for one post, I had way more clothes too but the past was getting too long. I think its funny how almost all of these are dresses...I guess I'm a dress girl at heart. I would wear them every day in elementary school but then when I was in middle school and high school and most of college I HATED them, now I'm back to being obsessed, hehe.

No post today, but I wanted to say Happy Easter to anyone who celebrates! Today I will be off at my Grandmother's with my family doing absolutely nothing. We usually just sit and watch the Food Network and talk about stuff...but that is just the way I like it. Relaxing, fun, and entertaining ;) Next week we're having Easter #2 with my Dad's side of the family...we always do it separate now so we can spend more time together.
P.S. Why do I always pick Pooh for my Holiday photos? Haha, whatever he's cute :) Also, if you haven't seen the movie The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
, DO IT! It was one of my favorite movies when I was little, I'd literaly watch every day.
Oh, also, The OUTNET emailed with some pretty fun news for those of you that are engaged or will be attending a wedding in the near future (or if you plan on dressing up to watch the Royal Wedding on the 29th). On April 26th they will be having a wedding sale where there will be wedding gowns for the bride, along with some fabulous cocktail dresses suitable for guests and bridesmaids. Make sure to check it out!

A couple days ago Starworks Group emailed with a pretty exciting press release. The release is as follows:
Aritzia offers customers a well designed boutique shopping experience and exclusive labels that customers cannot find elsewhere. All Aritzia labels share a high level of attention to beauty, quality and detail. And now here is a look at some pieces that are for sale. Make sure to check out their website to see much more!
Aritzia, a new retail boutique for young women, is opening its first Manhattan location in SoHo Summer 2011.
Aritzia has developed a large-scale Collage to mask the construction of the 10,000 square foot Aritzia Flagship location at the corner of Broadway and Spring. The Collage was created by New York based artist Monika Wyndham. Wyndham was inspired by the supernatural powers of nature and the beauty of the Northwest Coast.
Wyndham combined images of natural beauty with those inspired by Aritzia’s feminine aesthetic to create a fantastical landscape that challenges the viewer’s sense of reality and vantage point.
“The environment we've created can be seen as a reflection of the Aritzia girl's character. She’s confident, adventurous and independent. She is unafraid of risks without being reckless and, in the midst of chaos, she’s collected and beautiful. She personifies grace under fire.”
- Artist Monika Wyndham
In addition, Wyndham is collaborating with Aritzia to curate the collection of art on display within the Aritzia SoHo location. Two photos of preparations for the new store as well as a video may be seen below.
This week has been SO long, but I did a lot of things I normally don't do during the week so perhaps that's why. On Tuesday I hung out at Starbucks with a friend, Wednesday I went to get my hair trimmed and last night I babysat, so I didn't have much time at home. This was another dreary week...since April Showers bring May Flowers we better have TONS of flowers this year, ha ha. Sadly I don't have my Friday outfit again because I didn't have time to pick my outfit out before bed last night...so I'll try to post it next week if it's any good.

Be it a Burberry Prorsum trench, a Gucci tote or a floor-sweeping skirt by Jason Wu, a portion of the proceeds from each exclusive Runway to Green piece goes to leading environmental organizations. Here are some of the products I have my eye on and would purchase if I was rich, ha ha.
Hello ladies! Since everyone is always so surprised to find I get a lot of my designer items really cheap on eBay I decided to post some recent finds. When I get bored I like to scope out ebay for pretty things I won't need. Then I proceed to "watch" them and never bid (unless I really love it, of course). So instead of saving all my finds for myself and not even taking advantage of them I figured I would share them with you guys! Let me know if you're going to go for something! :) Some of them end today, some end tomorrow...BUT before you bid make sure to check out the post I did on eBay tips! Click the images to go to the listings.
This is only a small selection of stuff, but on occasion I do post listings on my Twitter when they're almost done if I think they're good enough, so make sure to follow me!
(all of these are under $50, most are a lot less, at least at the time of this post...except the Chloe jacket is 100)

As some of you may know, I am a member of the VOGUE Influencer Network. Recently I received the tokidoki Sodashop Palette from Sephora to test out and review. So here we go.
First off, the packaging is ADORABLE! The makeup comes in a little din and when you open that up there are some magnets and then the makeup. There are 12 eyeshadow colors, an eyeliner and a nail file. The top of the container also includes a mirror. I would buy this just for the packaging because I'm a geek like that (it's the graphic designer in me). Here are some photos; click to see them larger:
The makeup is very easy to apply and you only nee the tiniest bit. I used a small brush and lightly dabbed in the squares to get some of the eyeshadow and that was enough to cover my whole eye, so this stuff is very pigmented. For this look I used the Perfetto Eyeliner, then some Romeo and on top of that above my eyelid I used Riposino with a light layer of Skull Donut on top. I also used some mascara (my Chanel Inimitable sample)...and that's it! Excuse my eyebrows in the photos, they're gross.
I would definitely recommend this product if you like the colors because it seems to me like they will last a long time since you don't need to use a lot of the product for one application. It is also a great gift idea as well for your makeup loving friends!
As per the FTC's "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising", I must inform you all that I received this product free for the purpose of reviewing or advertising the products. I was not, however, paid to write a positive review.

My Valentino jacket came yesterday. I ran upstairs to get my package when I got home and carefully opened it! Sadly it didn't fit me as well as I'd hoped. Its a little big in the arms and when I tie the belt the sides puckered. I took some photos for you all to see, it actually looks quite good in the photos, better than it does in person...so maybe I need to get used to it. I'm going to think about it for a while and then decide what to do with it...*sigh* I wish it had fit me perfectly, that would have made things so easy.
Sorry for complaining so much, ha ha, I know I should be SO excited since I was lucky enough to get something but I'm just a bit bummed that it isn't exactly what I'd hoped. Complaining OVER! Now I will be excited that I have a Valentino in my closet!! *dances* ;)
UPDATE: Okay, so the verdict according to comments is that I keep it, I was planning on keeping it anyway, but I always have to vent these things out. Lydia put what I'm feeling into words, she is so good at things like that, ha ha...so here's what she said:

Well, it does look totally cute in the photos, but i completely understand your disappointment -- when it comes to designer items, something with an obscene price tag, you imagine that when you put it on some choir of angles is going to start singing and you will never wear a more perfect bit of fabric and thread.BUT I might list it on eBay with an insane price just to see what happens, haha... ;)
You think that if you love the clothes that cost $10 than this, this has got to be the MOST AMAZING THING EVER.
And it's tough to live up to those expectations. They are only bits of fabric and thread after all.
Last week Kavita, the Creative Director for The IOU Project emailed to let me know about their wonderful project. It is launching later this month and it is going to be great, and is for a great cause! You can sign up on their website for updates on the new initiative. Kavita says:
P.S. Whoever did that Kinetic Typography piece is AMAZING! I actually had to do 2 of these during school, one with Flash the other with After Effects (click those links if you want to watch them on YouTube) Keep in mind we had a time limit for them so they aren't as good as they would have been if I had tons of time. Oh and here's a third one we had to do for homework...it took about 2 hours and is probably just as good as the ones that took weeks ;)
UPDATE: Kavita has sent over a bit more information about the project which you can read below. You can also check out their Facebook for some photos of the pieces.
And for more details, watch this video:I am a fashion designer, and together with my company, we set ourselves up with what we thought was an almost impossible challenge: to design and produce a line of totally unique clothing that would be cool and casual, but no matter how many people bought an item no two would ever be the same....

The idea was to create easy classic pieces with a lot of beautifully made details.Of course since each piece is unique it has its own QR code that takes you to the entire story of the product, the video/pictures of the artisan who made the fabric in India and the artisans who made the garment in Europe. And if you feel like it you can take your picture and add it to the story of that piece. All of this can be looked at and shared from our website. If i were to sum up the IOU Project i would say that it has been a study in the creation of a Prosperity chain; an experiment to rethink how goods are produced and sold in a way that benefits everyone. We Believe:In empowering the ArtisanIn celebrating UniquenessIn our right to TransparencyWe believe in the power of Technology to make these happen.
Last weekend when I got home from my crazy shopping spree I realized that the tan wedges I got were very reminiscent of the amazing Givenchy wedges that have been on my Wish List on net-a-porter for ages (I have so much stuff on that wish list that I know I'll never be able to afford, I just like to look at them, ha ha.) So that made me think I should do a Lust, Love, Less version of Dress for Less since I haven't in a while. That was easier said than done, but I think I found another okay match, its not nearly as good as the Crown Vintage ones but it has the same feel. Enjoy!
Givenchy - $1190
KEY Té - $190
Crown Vintage - $59.95

So...as you all know The OUTNET's $2 birthday sale was yesterday and I was one of the lucky few who got a ticket! SCORE! Anyway, I was at work so I had to warn my boss that between 11 and 12 I may have to stop working for a few minutes to get a designer item for $2, luckily he was totally fine with that, ha ha. So starting at around 10:50 am I began to panic in preparation. At around 11:15 I got my email from The OUTNET saying the sale had started so I SHOT straight to the site. My plan was to narrow down the results by size so for shoes I did 8 and 8.5 and then for clothes I did a range of size 2-8 (because I am so randomly sized). THEN I viewed it all on one page and scrolled down, as I saw items I liked I opened them in new tabs...I did this pretty quickly so I am sure I probably missed some other amazing pieces.
After I got to the bottom of the page I had a few items that i was choosing between, a Matthew Williamson dress, a Valentino jacket and a few other things I'm forgetting. In the end I decided on the Valentino jacket because I need another blazer. So I quickly added it to my cart and checked out like lightening! Good thing I already had my credit card information in there or I may have lost out on it. I just hope it fits because my shoulders make sizing weird, they make me need a larger size and everything else is smaller...annoying. So yea, if it doesn't fit I may have to sell it *tears*
This whole process from beginning to end took about 5 minutes, so it really is the sale of a lifetime. My heart was pounding SO fast during the whole process and it probably took me about 20 minutes to get back to breathing normally...my boss was probably laughing at me.
So in the end I got a $6,000 jacket for $2!!! AMAZING! And about an hour and a half after I made my order I got an email from them saying it was ready to be shipped...how awesome is that for customer service. So yea, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Outnet, they are amazing ;)
