Follow Me
This week was garbage, it was SO rainy every day. Not fun at all...so instead of bright pieces I gravitated towards dark ones. As you can see I wore my new Zara skirt on Wednesday, Wahoo!  Hmmm...not much else to say, so I'll just leave it at that.

I have no plans this weekend, so I will be sitting around in my pajamas doing absolutely nothing!  Maybe I'll have a movie marathon or something fun like that ;)

I was also given 2 awards! First, Ramz gave me the Stylish Blogger award, second, Tiffany gave me the Adorable blogger award. One requires me to give seven facts about myself, the other asks for 10. So I'll give an even 8 ;)
  1. I am a Gilmore Girls addict (I still watch reruns every day)
  2. I love Classic Disney movies and Pixar movies (except Cars)
    • My favorite Disney movies are the lesser known: The Great Mouse Detective, The Black Cauldron, and of course the classics like Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella)
  3. I am a social phobiac (meaning I hate being in public places and around people...haha)
  4. I'm afraid of being alone with boys, so I've only had 2 boyfriends that didn't last very long... (haha)
  5. I am way too judgmental...but I can't help it
  6. I am a web designer/programmer/graphic designer ;)
  7. I did gymnastics for 13 years
  8. I'm going to London in 43 days!!!
If you all recall, last month I posted about the IOU Project and as of May 9th it is officially launched!  They have tons of products that are all unique, no two pieces are the same.
When you go to a specific product page you can select a print you like, then to the left you can click on "This Item's Journey" and you will see everyone who has been involved in the making of the garment.  The image below shows one such piece, click it to enlarge:
After you purchase a piece you can take a photo of yourself in the garment and add it to the story.  Pretty cool, right?!

I was fortunately able to become a Trunk Show Host so I can create a mini shop of sorts with my favorite items from the store, which you guys, in turn, may purchase!  Check out my Trunk Show!!! :D Make sure to check frequently because the items in it will change as things sell. (I can only have 20 items in there at a time)
As I mentioned once before on the blog I'm not usually a huge Gucci fan, but the past few collections have blown me away.  The two dresses below are so amazing, too bad I would have nowhere to wear them, it also doesn't help that they cost an arm and a leg. (click the photos to enlarge)

A couple weeks ago Steven from Back in Style: Vintage & Designer Clothes & Accessories asked if I would like to style some pieces from their store on the blog. Of course I jumped at the chance to try some amazing vintage pieces that I wouldn't normally be able to buy (or have occasion to wear).  They sent me a Lanvin dress, Missoni skirt and Burberry pants! I mixed them with pieces from my own closet to come up with the following looks!
Note: The Burberry pants actually go to the middle of my calves, but that didn't work well on me so I rolled them up. Click to see the full size photos.
(I had major issues with the Lanvin dress photos, so they're kinda bad...sorry :( I am also totally in LOVE with the first photo for the Missoni skirt)
Look 1: The Lanvin Dress
Look 2: The Missoni Skirt
Look 3: The Burberry Pants
Sadly these are on their way back to Back in Style, but that means you guys can buy them if you want!  I was able to keep the Burberry pants, but there are a couple more of them on the site if you like them.

And finally, what kind of blogger would I be if I didn't share some amusing bloopers...enjoy! Some of these I actually like, but others are just plain silly. Click the images to make them larger.
These items were sent to be free of charge for the purposes of advertising the store, but after they were photographed they were sent back.  This in no way affected the post.
For the next 2 days I will be featuring a fun online vintage store called Back in Style. It was too long to put into one post. Today I am posting a Dress for Less look featuring items from the store and tomorrow I will be posting 3 looks I created with pieces they sent me.

Rather than explaining the store myself here's what they have to say about themselves: At Back In Style.com you'll find a carefully selected collection of women's and men's vintage & designer clothing and accessories, and one of the largest vintage Emilio Pucci collections in the world! This vintage boutique offers unique clothing as current as this season and as vintage as the 1940 's because we believe the best way to wear retro couture is to modernize your look by blending it with the contemporary pieces.

For this look the 1970s jacket is the key piece so I kept everything else very basic. This whole outfit is under $150 (actually, it's exactly $135)
Blazer $65
Michael Stars Tee $10
Gold Sign Jeans $50
Heels $10
TOTAL: $135
Well this was an interesting week. I actually got to go tightless for 2 days, YES! I am SO glad its Friday…YAY for the weekend! I have no plans so far, unless I go to DSW looking for shoes. If not I'll be in my pjs all weekend relaxing. I also decided that I'm going to start taking Saturday's off from blogging. You're probably wondering why it isn't Sunday's off, well this way my This Week in Fashion posts get 2 days to themselves ;)

Work was good, I spent all week making changes to a movie theatre website design that we pitched yesterday. They really liked it so I am going to have to build the whole website in the next few weeks, but I'm so excited, I designed the whole site (with a little help from my boss) and coded it all on my own. I'm quite proud of it, when we finally launch it I'll have to share it with you guys :) Today I have a bunch of stuff to do that I had to put off all week so its catch up day, and my boss will be gone so hopefully nothing goes wrong or I'll have to fix it.

Also, this whole Blogger being offline for almost a day KILLED me...I am also a bit annoyed that they removed yesterdays post because I forgot to back up the blog after posting it...but hopefully they put it back. GAH! But oh well...I'll survive. I don't feel like switching this to Wordpress because blogger is better for me for this particular project. (I use Wordpress for my fan sites). But at least its back now...and I'm going to remember to make a backup EVERY night :p Hopefully this post doesn't get lost...haha

My ASOS order arrived yesterday!  Everything fits great which is good because I was a bit nervous.  I went wild when I took my picture of the sweater and wore my bright pink bra since that's apparently the stylish thing to do. But I wouldn't be brave enough to go out in public like that even though I like it when other bloggers do it, ha ha. [Do you like my mock-heel pose? I was too lazy to put on shoes]

I'm pretty sure I am going to keep the Oasis dress [the floral one] for my High Tea dress and return the other one (even though its really nice).  My ideal shoe would be these gorgeous Miu Mius but I just can't do it...I want to splurge SOOOO bad but I need to resist...even if they are perfect and classic and gorgeous XD What do you guys think...would they be a good investment shoe? I don't really own any plain pumps (not even black *gasp*) My mom would murder me if I did it though, ha ha...I'd never be able to go through with it anyway, I talk big but then I chicken out.
I could get these similar ones from Target...but its just not the same so I don't think I would ever be totally happy with them...I'm sure I can find better ones eventually, haha...
