I'M LEAVING FOR LONDON TONIGHT!!! AHHH!! No outfit for today since I have no idea what I'm wearing yet...probably just jeans, a tank top and a hoodie so I'm comfy on the plane. I'm leaving my house around 11 so I can get to the airport and then wait around for my flight at 6:30...
So yea...this week was pretty much me being crazy excited about my London/NYC trip. I also took a half day on Wednesday to go to an event in NYC, so I posted that outfit too. But of course I had tons to do at work so everyone can survive without me ;) (just kidding, I'm sure they will do perfectly fine without me, but hopefully not too well that they decide they no longer need me)
Here's my outfit from the NYC event held on Wednesday, which was an afternoon tea & cocktails with one of my favorite stores, Net-a-Porter! I had so much fun and the team was amazing and so funny! I also need to thank (again) Meaghan from PurseBlog for helping me brave a cab on the way back to the train station. I had walked from Grand Central to the event and it took an hour! But I was too scared to get my own cab so she and her husband Vlad shared one with me! They're amazing!

I converted my work look for the event by switching out some pieces [added Jones New York Jacket and Simply Vera Wang Sandals]
Today's post is super long to make up for yesterday's boring-ness, ha ha. Anyway, this weekend The Outnet has a special 4th of July section AND you can get 20% off EVERYTHING in the store by using the code SUMMER20 which is valid from today until July 4th at 11:59PM. Here are some of my favorite pieces from their Fourth of July Selection [click the images to go to the product pages]:
I'm doing this a day early since tomorrow is Friday and that's when I post my outfits, ha ha. Anyway, this month I wasn't supposed to buy anything but you know me...SHOPAHOLIC! I was a good girl for the most part and just drooled over things except 1 big thing...
I got my Michael Kors Rose Gold watch and have been wearing it every day since I got it, sooo worth it! paid $198 instead of the $265 I would have paid normally. YAY! It's a lot sooner than I was planning on getting it, but with a deal like that I couldn't resist.
I'm still debating buying something from the net-a-porter end of season sale, but I'm not sure...I want a Burberry dress, but it will be $275 with shipping and that's a lot of money to spend right before my vacation...GRRR! :p
Sorry this is a boring post, but I leave for vacation tomorrow so I don't have much time, ha ha.

Chloé collections are always soooo pretty! The Resort 2012 collection is no different, here is a selection of my favorite looks! I could see myself wearing every single one of these looks, the colors are amazing and I am loving all the jackets! What did you think of this collection?

What girl doesn't love jewelry, especially if it is really pretty gold jewelry like you can find at ShopNBC's store? They have a ton of amazing pieces from statement jewelry and other trendy pieces to simple pieces that will last forever (diamond earrings anyone?). Some of my favorite pieces can be seen below. I am very taken with all of the floral rings, they are just so pretty! I think my favorite piece is the Tri-Color Floral Ring

1. 14K Gold 2.00ct Blue, Green or Yellow Diamond Pendant w/ Chain
2. 14K Tri-Color Polish & Satin Dimensional Floral Ring
3. 14K Gold Diamond Leaf Wrap Ring
4. 14K Gold 7" Amethyst or Carnelian Grande Flex Bangle Bracelet
5. 14K Gold Electroform Dolce Bouquet Ring
6. 24K Gold Pave-Style Polished Accent Ring
If you're headed to a cocktail party and want to dress simply but still have some fun pieces this jewelry is a great option. Check out the outfit I put together, the black dress is the base and then I accessorized with the amazing jewelry! I decided to layer some bracelets since that's what the cool kids are doing these days and opted not to add a necklace or ring. Even mixing metals is cool now, so go wild!
14K 7.25" White Akoya Pearl Bracelet - $83
14K White, Rose or Yellow Gold 7.25" Ribbon Omega Bracelet - $82.96
Silicoro™ 7.75" or 8.5" Allegro Glitter Bangle Bracelet - $64.55
14K Gold / Black Rhodium 7" Flex Greek Key Design Bangle Bracelet - $119
14K Gold Orange, Pink or Red Diamond Stud Earrings - $175
I was compensated for this post, but my opinions are my own.

Like my title, ha ha? I was singing that song to myself while packing for London, which is what I did for most pf the day yesterday. So no real post today since I am dead tired and have more packing to do, ha ha. Only SIX DAYS until I leave for London! OH.MY.GOODNESS. *dies* So this week will be a mad rush to get tons of things done before I leave.
I know I've talked about this a ton, but for those of you that don't know I am taking a week and a half vacation starting on Friday! I'm going to London for a week and then New York City for a couple days before I return home to Connecticut :) (We're doing Harry Potter stuff, and I'm also going to Paris and we're doing High Tea and tons of other fun stuff! So when I get back I will have tons of vacation photos.)

This week was good and bad. Work was okay as usual and I spent almost every night reading Harry Potter, commenting on blogs or posting Harry Potter news :p Monday night we went out to dinner for my little brother's birthday, and if you follow me on Twitter you will have seen that I got a whole cup of soda spilled all over my skirt. LUCKILY it missed my Marc Jacobs purse which was on the side of the chair that didn't get soaked...lovely. AND also on Monday I was walking into someone's office at work and slammed into a table with my leg, so I have a beautiful bruise on my upper leg...I guess Monday was klutz day.
So yea...that was the most exciting part of my week. Wednesday was depressing because I found out that as of right now I'm not press at the Harry Potter premiere in New York because there wasn't enough room *sigh* But if someone can't make it I'll get a spot. At least I'm going to be press for the London premiere though ;) And I have something secret that I'll be doing in London that I can't mention...but there may be photo evidence and if so I'll be sure to post it.

Today I am featuring some pretty AMAZING sandals. They are amazing for two reasons; 1 because of the mission of the company, and 2, you can wear them in a ton of different ways! I was approached by Sseko Designs, a company based in Uganda, and asked if I would like to feature their product.
Sseko Designs was started in 2008 by a young woman named Liz after she graduated from college. She was volunteering in Uganda and started Sseko to provide employment for young women who needed money to pay for their university education. [read her full story here] Liz and these young women are such an inspiration! I wish all the girls who work at Sseko the best of luck with their university studies and future careers!
The sandals are mostly $47 each, some are more expensive depending on the design of the strap you choose. You can also buy as many different straps as you like from $8-$13. If you decide to purchase something make sure to enter "Closet Fashionista" in the "How'd you hear about us?" section. :)
So here I am in my sandals, I got the brown ones and some teal straps but I may have to buy some more straps and maybe another base because I have a feeling I will be living in these this summer and many more to come. Click the photos to enlarge them.
Below is a video that explains the company a bit more:
