Be ready for a big batch of Resort 2012 collections! They will be split up between other posts though, this is just the easiest thing for me to do while I have limited internet, so bear with me!

Here we have the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection. The collection is laid back, yet classy and I am loving the (mostly) neutral palette. I'm a sucker for a good blazer/jacket, and this collection was full of them!  Click to enlarge.

A while ago I mentioned on my Facebook that I was thinking of featuring some of my favorite movies that are a bit less well known (as well as some of my favorites that are popular).  I might do it every Sunday, or every once in a while...we'll see how long I last.

The first movie I'm featuring is The Ugly Dachshund.  It is a live-action Disney film that came out in 1966, it stars Dean Jones, Suzanne Pleshette and, of course, Brutus the dog!  The synopsis is as follows:
Dean Jones and Suzanne Pleshette star in this Walt Disney family comedy as Mark and Fran Garrison, a dog-loving couple with different tastes in canines. When their dachshund gives birth to puppies, kindly veterinarian Dr. Pruitt (Charlie Ruggles) convinces Mark to take a Great Dane puppy home with him. The Great Dane, named Brutus, grows up with the tiny pups convinced that he's also a dachshund. Brutus's confused identity sets the stage for a number of mildly comic bits -- he chases policemen up trees, destroys Mark's studio, and ruins a garden party. Fran finally tells Mark that Brutus has to go, but changes her tune when Brutus saves Fran's favorite dachshund puppy, Chloe, from a scrap heap. When Fran announces that she is entering Chloe in a dog show, Mark secretly enters Brutus in the same contest in an effort to convince Brutus to think like a Great Dane.
This movie is SO hilarious and is a great family film as well.  So have you seen it?!  And if you do watch it after reading this post, let me know what you think! :D

Sorry this post is so late (and long), but I couldn't post this until now because I have no internet at my new place and had to wait until I got to my parents house to load my outfit photos. It should be quite nice to not have internet but I know I'll be panicking a lot of the time because of the blog and my Matt Lewis and Harry Potter sites. If I didn't have websites I could probably go a month with no internet no problem...but we'll see how I do. ;)

Well this was an interesting week...the move in didn't go as smoothly as I'd hoped, but nothing is ever easy so I don't know why I expected it to be. ;) First of all, it was raining, and if thats not bad enough the previous owner of the house left FOOD in the fridge and the power was turned off. The house smelled DISGUSTING. My roomie and I had to empty out the whole fridge into the garbage outside and it was gross. The fridge was also REALLY gross, luckily my parents cleaned that out for us while my roomie and I cleaned the bathroom and windows, ha ha. The rest of the week was spent cleaning up our house, shopping for stuff and organizing. We're almost done!

My "closet room" was a lot smaller than I remembered but I made it work.  I spent so much money on organization stuff for it, but it was worth it. I got 2 garment racks, a shoe rack, and an 8-cube shelf (for sweaters). I also got a really cute ottoman/couch thing for the middle of the room. I still need to get curtains or something to make the walls more pretty though.  I'll post some pictures of the house soon, I want to use my new camera to do it, so hopefully I can take them next week and then get a post ready next Friday when I go home.

Needless to say I was very tired at work, but I made it through! I bought a new camera on Amazon last Saturday [A Nikon D120] and I got it today when I came home (I still call it home...but that will probably change in a few weeks)!! Since we have no tv/internet I had to come home to watch the episode of Project Runway I recorded (and I'm babysitting on Saturday night).

I find it quite amusing that I wore purple every day this week except for Thursday (unless you count my purse), so weird how that happens sometimes. Do you ever notice that all your outfits for a week are similar in color or style?  P.S. Sorry for the icky pictures, hopefully my new camera improves them ;)

Okay, here we go with a cheaper version of the outfit I posted yesterday! It obviously isn't exactly the same, but it has the same feeling.  If you forgot, the other outfit was over $4000, this outfit is under $175. I still prefer the other one though, sad. I wanted to use this blazer from ASOS, but it was $94, and the one I used was only $28...so in this case, cheaper wins.

Top: Alloy $22.80
Blazer: Forever 21 $27.80
Bag: Alloy $19.99
Shorts: ASOS $44.82
Wedges: Forever 21 $26.80
Ring: La Dama $30
TOTAL: $172.21

Instead of a Dress for Less I've decided to do a Dream Outfit. I suppose you could call this an end of summer/early fall look... For this outfit I used my 2 favorite stores, even though I rarely ever buy things, The Outnet and Net-a-Porter! I was going to make it a neutral look but fell in love with the Stella McCartney jacket *sigh*...if only I were rich. Also, it is name the "Megan" I think it was meant to be...

Perhaps tomorrow I'll do a "less" version if I feel up to it. But I've been so dead from moving in and such so I may do a simple post, we shall see.

Shorts - Gryphon $155 (Regularly $445)
Tank - Marc Jacobs $315 (Regularly $795)
Blazer - Stella McCartney $1685
Sandals - Marni $256 (Regularly $640)
Bag - Proenza Schouler PS1 $1595
Ring - YSL Arty $275
Total: $4281
[YOWZA...if you can afford this, I envy you ;) But it is good for inspiration, right]

The shorts would also be lovely with this J.Crew sweater which is a BIT more attainable since the shorts + sweater are $235. It makes me weep a bit inside to know that people actually spend this much money on clothes regularly.  Ha ha.
After seeing my friend Courtney's post about Anjolee Jewelry I fell in love.  They had such gorgeous pieces of jewelry that are perfect for any occasion! They have simple pieces and more fun/statement jewelry.  I commented about how much I loved the jewelry and a little while later Anjolee contacted me to ask if I would like to review some of their hoop earrings! I jumped at the chance and was sent their GORGEOUS Must Have Diamond Hoop Earrings in 10k white gold with 1.07ct diamonds.

They have such a vast selection of diamond hoop earrings and other jewelry that anyone kind find a piece they enjoy! Whether you go for simple pieces (like me) or pieces that have a bit more weight to them. I think my favorite part of these earrings was the clasp, the earrings are made so that the post goes into the earring and has a rivet so it says in place. So the closure is hidden and it makes it harder to come undone. That is especially important when you are wearing diamond earrings, who wants to lose such an expensive and rare piece of jewelry?! Click the photos below to view larger:

While perusing the site I found out some very interesting information about Anjolee.  Firstly, they are the manufacturer of the jewelry so they get all the materials and make them, so you know that the quality is going to be top notch.  They have been in business for 33 years, as well, so they are at the top of the trade. The company is also green, they recycle all materials which prevents any unnecessary toxic discharge to the environment. They actually produce each order after it is placed with the production time being 3 days. Pretty awesome, don't you think?!

I received these earrings free for the purpose of reviewing,  I was not, however, paid to write a positive review.
Last week my lovely friend Emily (of Ruby Slipper Journeys) asked for my help in finding a similar sweater to this Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Cropped Crew Neck Pullover. She didn't have a specific price but asked that it be, "a grey, pullover cropped sweater (it has to be cropped as a lot of my dresses are high waisted). It doesn't have to be cheaper, well, not cheaper than the sale price, but if it's on the expensive side I want it to be made out of some reasonable material... like wool!" So...here we go!

The sale price was $62 [retail is $205] so I tried to stay under it, but that's a pretty good amount of dough so I was confident! But boy was this hard!!! I kept finding perfect sweaters, but they weren't cropped so that crossed them off the list.  Hopefully these few choices suffice! :) [I did throw in an expensive one too though] What I find amusing is that it is so hard to find the perfect simple piece, like the perfect blazer for example. So we all end up settling for something less than perfect (though we may end up loving it more than what we were originally searching for)
H&M - $19.95  [not exactly cropped but its a great price and a great match]
Rubbish - $38 [this one has pockets, but otherwise its a good match]
Bridgette Bailey - $65
Splendid - $79.00

There was also this cropped McQ sweater but it has lighter grey on the sleeves which isn't what Emily wanted, you may see it here though!
I must be a magnet for jewelry companies this summer! I'm not complaining though, my jewelry collection is sorely lacking in many areas, ha ha.  A couple of weeks ago I was introduced to John Wind/Maximal Art and their amazing jewelry.

Maximal Art was started in 1985 by Philadelphia-native artist John Wind after studying jewelry making at the Slade School of Art in London.  He says, "Over the years, we’ve sold many thousands of necklaces, brooches, earrings, bracelets, frames, etc… but ultimately every single piece goes out into the world and finds a home and makes someone happy. That direct, personal, uplifting moment is what it’s all about. And I thank you for allowing me to spend my life doing this."
John picked out this gorgeous set of Sparkling Daisy jewelry from the Jewelry Box collection for me. It isn't my usual style of jewelry, I'm more of a simple girl, BUT it is so gorgeous and I can definitely see myself wearing it on a classy night out on the town! I love how the flower on the necklace is off-center, it adds so much more interest to the piece. The quality is amazing and you can definitely tell that these products are made with love! Click to enlarge the photos.

They also make personalized letter pieces which are perfect for gifts! I am also quite taken with the following pieces, I may need to splurge and purchase the adorable pink flower earrings for myself.
For more information about Maximal Art visit their website, Facebook and Twitter!

I was sent the earrings and necklace free of charge for the purpose of this review, I was not, however, paid to write a positive review.

No post tomorrow since I'm... MOVING! AH!! XD Hopefully we will get internet up at our place soon, we were originally going to get ATT Uverse but they said the earliest they could install was September 22nd...um NOT HAPPENING! So we're calling today and Monday to see if they had any cancellations, otherwise we're finding something else.
This was a very interesting week.  Over the weekend I went camping, then Monday we had a family party because my cousins from Ohio were visiting!  Then the rest of the week was filled with work and preparing for my upcoming move! I'm only moving 20 minutes away but it's still scary.

This might be my last week shooting my outfit pictures at home...WEIRD!!! I'm moving to my new place this weekend and hopefully once the week is over I'll be all settled in and organized. I would love to be able to get it all done on Sunday but I doubt that will happen.  But I'm so excited! YAY! Hopefully there is a good spot to take pictures...maybe in my awesome closet room once I get it all ready! I posted some inspiration photos for my closet on my Facebook, check it out!

On Wednesday I wore my adorable new frog necklace from ShopNBC! I won it through couturelust!! It is their Green Jade & Garnet Frog Pendant and I named him Trevor (after Neville's toad). Why am I so obsessed with animal jewelry, 75% of my necklaces are animal related. Here are some more photos of it, click to enlarge:

My camera is basically dead, so these aren't the best photos. What a great time for it to break...right? I suppose I should just buy a new camera now and say bye bye to all my money :p I'm going to stick with a point and shoot, but get a better one than my current one. I don't take enough pictures to need a DSLR so why spend a ton of money on it...
Some of you may remember that last season I did Project Runway recaps. I'm not going to do them this season but I will post my favorite looks from certain episodes if some really speak to me. For example, last week I was in LOVE with Anthony and Oliver's looks.

For those of you that don't/didn't watch, they had to create outfits out of products from the pet store. Anthony chose to use all bird seed and his look was AMAZING! I would wear it in a second! (it was just a teeny bit short)

Oliver made his look out of a dog bed (the top) and hamster bedding (skirt). It is AMAZING and the only thing I disliked about his look was the creepy eyebrows. The fit was a little bit off, but the materials were hard to work with so he is forgiven.
