A couple weeks ago I was contacted by Woolmark to ask if I would like to participate in their Fashion by Feelings campaign! Of course I said yes, and this past week I was finally able to take some photos for it.  The campaign was started to educate people about wool as a natural and renewable fiber. Participants are asked to upload a look to the Fashion by Feelings website and choose what "feeling" their look has. I chose my new Madewell sweater which is 100% Merino wool and "happy" as my feeling since my sweater is so bright and cheery!

Also, if you guys could, could you "love" my look so I can have a chance at the grand prize?! You don't have to but I would really appreciate it, click here to like it!

Now be prepared to see a ton of photos because I couldn't decide which to post.

Sweater - Madewell, Skirt - Old Navy, Booties: No.704b., Purse - Marc by Marc Jacobs, Watch: Michael Kors, Necklace: Etsy

And just for fun, here's a crazy shot :)
You may not be able to tell from my outfit posts, but I LOVE jeans! I wish I could wear them more often but I try not to wear them all that much at work, even though I could wear them every day if I want, because I want to dress more professionally.  But on weekends I either don't get dressed or I wear the same thing all weekend (yea, I'm gross like that).  My weekend wear in Fall includes jeans, more specifically my favorite pair by American Eagle, and a comfy sweater.  AE is definitely my favorite brand for jeans, probably because they are so affordable [I only buy them on Clearance though, regular price is still too much], but I do love to drool at other designers.

In one of ShopBop's latest lookbooks they had me DROOLING over 7 For All Mankind jeans.  The outfits were perfect; jeans + a sweater...that is my uniform in Fall. Here are my favorite looks from the lookbook, feel free to buy all the outfits for me ;)  [click to enlarge]

Are you a jeans girl!?

Here are some Marc by Marc Jacobs pieces I am coveting at the moment from Shopbop!
It has been exactly 10 years since the tragic events of September 11th 2001. I can still remember the day perfectly; I was in 8th grade and all of a sudden we started hearing rumors of something hitting the twin towers, finally in Spanish class our teacher turned on the tv so we could listen to the news. Then in all the rest of our classes all we did was watch the news to see the events unfold. We were all very young but we knew that this was BIG and not just another accident...

My grandmother, who sadly passed away a month later, was in the hospital at the time and when we went to visit her we could see the smoke from the hospital window. It was very surreal because even though we didn't live in New York we could still see the destruction. This is something I will never forget and something that has affected my life, the whole world's actually, drastically.

Most people know someone who was affected by this tragedy, but luckily no one I know was in the towers at the time. One of our family friends was actually supposed to have a meeting there that day but decided not to go for some reason, pretty lucky...

    We Will Never Forget.
This was another 4 day work week, don't you just love those! Sadly it has been pretty rainy and gross but hopefully this weekend will be nice. So far I have no plans this weekend, just hanging out and doing nothing (and grocery shopping)! Maybe I'll head to the beach or something since its right down the street.

I am so in love with my Tuesday outfit even though it's really simple, ha ha. I want to get that top in more colors, but it was so expensive even with my coupon :(

Tuesday: Dress: Twitch Vintage $17, Flats: Kelly & Katie (DSW) $14, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Wednesday: Jeans: American Eagle $0, Top: Express $34, Necklace: won from Sterling Style, Sandals: Michael Kors (DSW) $55, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Thursday: Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs (eBay) $27, Sweater: Forever 21 $11, Flats: vanEli (DSW) gift, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Friday: Tank: American Eagle $3, Skirt: Ruche $12, Sweater: Urban Outfitters $0, Flats: Me Too (DSW) $15, Watch: Michael Kors, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs

Last week when our intern left he had sent me a gift card for Gilt Groupe and on Wednesday they had a Marc by Marc Jacobs sale! So at 11 I jumped on the site and scoped out the sale, I saw a couple things I liked but ended up going with this blue and black polka dot sweater! I'm SO excited for it to arrive, but it won't be until the end of next week but I won't be home again until Friday anyway, ha ha.
And now I am going to be good with my spending again ;)
I am SO in love with the prints in the Balmain Resort 2012 collection.  They are usually known for doing more destroyed pieces but I am glad they went away from that for this collection. You all know by now that I have a huge thing for blazers, I would wear every single one of the blazers featured below! And all the other pieces too ;) If only they weren't UBER-expensive, ha ha.

This past weekend I FINALLY had the pleasure of meeting one of my favorite blogger friends, jamie-lee of page sixxx and her awesome friend Mary! If you have never heard of her blog, shame on you! She is a 22 year old from New Zealand with AMAZING style, I wish I could steal her whole closet, so make sure to check it out! Anywayyy, she is on vacation in the US and I met up with her while she was in New York City for some shopping, walking, pictures and other fun stuffs! I was a bad blogger and only took one photo, ha ha. But Jamie may have some more...I'm not sure. If/when she posts I may steal some photos for this post :)
    Update: Here's a shot of Mary and I :)
I gave myself a pretty big budget for shopping and unfortunately I found NOTHING! I almost bought a pair of Chanel shoes...but I was too lazy to try them on and the price was a bit steep, ha ha. But I did seriously consider the splurge. After shopping we went to have lunch (I had french toast, bacon and strawberries) and then we went to the Barney's Warehouse sale.  I found a Theyskins Theory dress but it unfortunately didn't fit me right, there was also a gorgeous YSL skirt but it was still $500. Here are some of the things I tried on/thought about buying, I couldn't find the Chanel shoes:
    Rodarte, Theyskin's Theory, Urban Outfitters

After that we went to have some drinks (I had water...haha) and went to a rooftop BBQ at her friend's friend's place that was fun. We just sat around talking, there were 2 pretty cute boys there too (well 3, but one had a girlfriend). But then, like the party pooper I am, I left around 10:30 so I could get home at a reasonable hour (which was 1:15 because I had to wait for the 11:22 train).

I am so glad we finally got to meet, I've been following her blog for as long as I can remember so I felt like I already knew her. I love that part of blogging, we make such great friends from all over the world and, if we're lucky enough, we get to meet them at some point! [I just checked and I've been following since July 2010, haha...she started it at the end of June 2010]

[Since I didn't buy anything I decided to shop a bit on Sunday morning and got some Free People flared jeans at Marshalls! I also went to the mall on Monday and got 2 tops at Express, a Michael Kors tank top and Chanel Paradoxyl, I'm not counting that in my monthly spending since I was going to allow myself to spend money on Saturday and didn't]
Free People Jeans ($30), Express Top ($34), Michael Kors Top ($26), Express Top ($34)

    Good luck!

This week's movie is an oldie but a goodie! The Last Unicorn came out in 1982 and features the voices of Mia Farrow, Christopher Lee, Jeff Bridges, Angela Lansbury and the music of America.  The movie follows the story of a unicorn who finds out she is the last of her kind, so she sets off to King Haggard's kingdom to find the Red Bull who supposedly led all the other unicorns away.  This movie is so funny and also a bit scary at some times, at least when you are 10 years old and watching it. She encounters a magician, an old witch, a story-telling butterfly, talking cat, crazy skeleton and many more interesting characters.

This is definitely one of my favorite movies, even if it is a bit odd. But I think that is precisely the reason I like it so much.  So have you seen it?!  If not, do it!
